  1. DA just displaced my current wallpapers! Thunderhammer Whore / Freak I am! Can you send hires pics to my email? I can zip them up and BT it for everyone.
  2. aaajin, Great looking Max 1S! Is that Rohby's recast head or an original? I can't tell!!! Now go paint the wing too!
  3. It would be great if I can get a detailed writeup to fix the flaw and show it to GS. Please PM me to discuss new kit purchases and will need a minimum of 15 orders to get this project going due to having new molds made. At least 10% off or better.
  4. I just realized how incredible Master Cheng is AGAIN and why Hasegawa's and Master Cheng's magic touches makes these Valkyries the best in my book! Plausible features, incredible details and overall atmosphere makes these Valkyries as realistic as they can be for now. So glad to see these "improvements" over the linearts any day! God Bless Master Cheng and Hasegawa!
  5. Which one is the 2nd on the bottom right? The Alaska 1A? Looks like it. And what about the grey 1J?
  6. This is one of the screw ups of ebay. Why are there continuous small incremental bids from each of those 3? Shouldn't the auto bid system work by bidding only after someone has outbidded you previously? A - $1 B - $2 C- $3 B-$4 C-$5 B-$6 C-$7 Whats the point of having each bidder just upping their bids when no one else was bidding? Thats just plain stupid or am I missing something here? Good for the seller but dumb on the buyers part.
  7. Do you have clearer shot of this? I have the G-Systems kit. I agree with you. Beautiful casting, nice photoetch, crap decal sheet (Devin, more PMs coming). If I can fix this in my kit, I can have G-Systems fix it in their next cast. If anyone needs a kit, let me know.
  8. Add Tamiya, Mr Color or food coloring (any water based) clear tints to future acrylic floor polish, dip the piece in and let it dry. Walla. Super Sheen plus tint! You can also brush it on, airbrush it, spray it or dip it. No need to thin. Man, future is GREAT STUFF. If you screw up, you can soak it in future, windex or Castrol Super Clean to eat the layer off and redo it. It won't harm the plastic (ABS, PVC or Styrene). But test the soaking just in case.
  9. I don't think those catagories would work. What if the retail price of a limited and unwanted item was lower than a normal edition item (same or different catagory)? How does that factor into initial pricing? And why would a custom be more? For all you know, you could have just repainted something or swap parts. The perceived value is determined by the buyer, not the system. It could be worth less than an untouch original. Having staggered pricing only confuse people and will force people to post in the cheapest catagories. That will account for a lot of cleanup work as people say "oops" and backout of the deal or retract their items for sale, which would negate the purpose of Rob's proposal. I think ebay did think through with their system and their major problems mostly lie in enforcing their rules and the final prices. KISS is the motto. One fee would be easiest. $1 per posting. 12 for the price of 10. Everyone would be posting everything for sale which would fund the project.
  10. Kamineko, Like you read my mind man! heh ... There is a possibility of a co-locate between San Meteo and San Jose. I need to check the address and available space first. Its a new gig which I'm sure more locals would want to check out anyways. It would be all the nicer with a satellite Macross World member shop there. It would be cool if I can send all the local bay area parcels there directly for pickup. Bring ID, pickup your pre-orders, checkout new toys, and hangout. Its a total hangout place. Grand opening hopefully is before Chinese New Year. I'll check more and get back to you guys about it.

    Fast Pack yf-19

Oops! I got it mixed up. IHP is the current sculpter. That PV YF-19 was made by Hayato Kobayashi. I believe he was a candidate for the resculpt.

    Fast Pack yf-19

Its made by the guy who is now supposedly working for Yamato on the YF-19 resculpt. Besides, that kit bash will need a LOT of reworking to be made into a toy. The tooling is different, the joints are flimsy (by toy production standards) and a lot of reworking is required before a mass production unit becomes viable. I have a few days off here since I can't fly home to the states so I'll see what can be done to a Hasegawa kit. I had intended to look at it anyways as a personal project.
  13. Yes, having an American distributor really helps to keep the pricing down for fans.
  14. Factually, you should get whichever one you can find! Those things are getting scarce (again).
  15. Castrol Super Clean? I don't know if it eats glue but it eats organics really good. And its ABS plastic safe. I have a piece soaked in it for over 4 months (forgotton about it) and its perfect.
  16. Title says it. Fully assembled color painted statue. Non-posable. Scheduled to be released tomorrow. I'm not making a dime on these. Offering for MWers : 39 USD before shipping. I'm guessing it will be 15 USD via Parcel Post. I will need to check if I can pack it lighter to keep that shipping down.
  17. What kinds of paints were you spraying? If you sprayed enamels, you can clean the brush by spraying the cleaning thinner (its stronger than the "thinning" thinner) through the brush. After its mostly clean, take it apart and soak the head. Rinse and wipe clean. Reassemble and spray thinner through again before using. If you were spraying acrylics, even better. Get those BIG gallon refills of windex and spray that straight through the brush until fairly clear. You might want to put a cloth up to the tip (block it temporarily), spray full blast to knock any harden paint loose, then spray it out without the cloth. Take apart, soak, rinse it, wipe down, assemble spray again and re-use. Also try searching for airbrush instead.
  18. Perhaps a pickup area would better than a full blown shop. I had planned a garage operation, like how Jeffrey did before New Type opened shop to the public. It would be by appointments or with limited hours on weekends but the neighborhood where it will be prohibits commercial intrusion. I can see all the strange cars parked outside the house and the neighbors just calling the cops to check them out. USA Suburbs for you. A second thought would be for me to co-locate the shop within another shop. It would be small (say a counter or so) but you can go in, place your order, pickup from there, buy any exisiting stock, checkout the customs, and talk Macross. The bad thing is I won't be there locally to run it so MWers will miss out on my personal service. I probably won't be there until the business grows big enough or at least until I return to the states. I also do worry about the pricing going up because of the rent but we'll see.
  19. Valkyrie, Please keep us posted on the differences. It would be good as reference material.
  20. Definately a recast item! Rohby's flexi or super strenght resin would be perfect for this.
  21. So stupid funny! http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/4229347.stm
  22. Steve, Great work but damn, you did all that to a Low Viz!!!! Inspiring work no doubt!
  23. FM, Pictures you requested here: http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?...t=0#entry250672
  24. Mech Design - Check Combiners - Check Vampires- Check Spiritia - er.... check I guess... Feels like Getto Robo meets Final Fantasy... not a bad thing but need to get used to the concept. I am much more excited about Titania though!
  25. Great ideas here. I know all about SF / Bay Area B&M pricing. I just wanted to see what the customers wanted and if it was feasible for me to offer local service there. I'll have to rethink it and see if I can stay competitive and viable.
