  1. Hey Anime, do you know (you seem to have a lot of experience with them) if 3A toys does weathered or rusted looks exclusively, or if they are willing to do more gamesque color schemes (like the look of Rex in MGS4). It'll be a real bummer if they go with the rust. For a technological giant, and one of that value, I don't think rust looks great, or is even appropriate for that matter....
  2. I posted this in the PS3 thread, but I thought it was relevant to this thread as well. Although this may seem inherent and quite intuitive, I thought it'd be good to take this time to say that Skyrim is most likely one of the best games I've ever played. No questions asked. If you can bump yourself up to 1080p running at 120 hz on a large flatscreen, trust me, you'll never have experience anything so amazing. The beautifully performed score accompanying the amazing gameplay, really well scripted NPCs, and simply awesome scenery really make you feel like you're on an adventure, akin to something of a Chronicles of Narnia or Lord of the Rings type scenario. I could go on about this game for hours, but those would be hours spent not playing the game
  3. Where and when can I buy this Honestly, the money I had saved for a Yamato Vf-17 or Bandai Vf-25S armored is going toward this. Totally more worth it in my opinion. I just hope that it comes with a little snake pilot figure to round out the deal Also, if you're listening 3A toys, please don't use the color scheme of the prototype, but rather, the awesome camo seen in MGS4. Thank You! Edit: Just saw that pre-orders open up in january. I don't have too much experience with 3A toys. Will this be a statue or actually posable? I don't really want to drop this much on a statue....
  4. When I saw this, I mixed everything up with your sig, and thought that Yamato was finally starting development of the VF-4. Dreams Crushed EDIT: I hate to do this, but don't you guys think they look a little....fat sitting there on the table? Maybe its just the angle
  5. Yeah, I know right? Most of my friends are either knee deep in MW3 multiplayer, or slaving their lives over playing Skyrim though. Even I fell prey to the latter....
  6. Maybe the aren't good at energy conversion? Dunno
  7. Actually, I don't think the aliens are made of electricity, they just want it for its power and maybe release it themselves. And although I agree with you that there are better places than Earth for energy alone, if the aliens are after specifically electricity, I see no better place than earth. First of all, as far as I know, we are the only lifeform out there that actually puts all our efforts into taking energy from all sorts of sources in order to produce electricity, which isn't naturally available for harvestation at such magnitudes in ready form (The sun releases most of its energy as heat and in the form of variable photons, which are generally polarized by the time they leave the sun, which means they lose a lot of energy as is). Also, I think you guys are forgetting that we humans alone have TONS of electric potential with us, coming in the form of solute gradients used to send electric signals throughout our nervous system. Thats 7 billion electric conduits for harvesting right there. lol, maybe I'm just trying to justify the movie cuz I think it looks cool
  8. I've heard that the MG O is so top heavy and what not that the whole thing collapses under its own weight, regardless of all the effort Bandai has put it to keep it upright. Mind you, this is just what I've heard though, so its not actual first hand experience. I would presume that it does fine if no extreme poses are used though....
  9. I love to transform my toys, but for some reason, I can't bring myself to do it. Sometimes, I wait entire months before transforming a toy for the first time. This may sound strange, but do you guys share in this feeling?: Generally, I kind of feel....."guilty" after transforming a toy from fighter mode for the first time. It feels as though the toy will never be as perfect as it was again, AND with Yamato valks, I get a strange feeling that something broke, even if I can't visibly see it. It just feels dirty... Yeah, I know I'm weird
  10. ^Alright, cool, thanks for the info. Any other news on new features or pics yet? Seems like we had a LOT more info on the VF-19 at this stage in its own development
  11. ^Don't you think the gun is a little....long to fit in that compartment? Does the gun separate in the middle or something to accomplish this?
  12. So, is the only way to watch this [episode 4] right now to pay up for renting in on PSN? Darn, I don't want to put down money on such an expensive rental. I would rather have just bought it.....
  13. A lot of my tests are over, so I put in some hours this weekend on my games. BF3 Multiplayer continues to be pure joy, but unfortunately, most of my friends have moved on to newer games, so there is no one really for me to play with. On MW3, I surprisingly LOVED the campaign, and there is TONS of story for those of you who liked the previous campaign modes (The story ends REALLY well, and there are tons of twists and whatnot, and a lot of emotional cheap shots as well). Haven't got a chance to try Multiplayer. Also, I just went out and bought Skyrim, and just started, and MAN! What a joy it is. The first 5 minutes of gameplay just suck you right in, and thanks to the new development system, you don't have to sit there and pick attributes for your character at the beginning. You just choose your class and appearance, and you're off! The world of Skyrim really is MUCH better than that of oblivion as well, with graphics greatly revampped, and simply put, a LOT brighter. Even the night feels brighter than Oblivion's day ever could. It truly does feel like an immersive adventure. I really recommend EVERYONE go out and buy this game. You can NOT find any better way to spend $60! EDIT: Wow, I just realized I put in $180 the past week on videogames alone. Hmm....pyschological concept. I would have second guessed myself and thought long and hard if I was gone plop that down on a valkyrie, but in parts, $60 a pop didn't seem bad....until I did the math
  14. Holy COW! These look really cool, but as much as I'd like to drop the money necessary to buy them, I think I'll wait. April is a LONG time away, and who knows how many bundles and what not will be released by then. Beyond that, I wouldn't be surprised if the VF-25 is a loosey goosey limp doll by that time. Only time will tell I guess. I see that the VF-25F is for sale at HLJ now, but I can't seem to find Ozma. Any help?
  15. Oh, sorry about that, I should have said "I am interested in a leader Optimus Prime, which I thought would be inevitable". But yeah, I don't have the link right now, but I believe that it was confirmed at the Hasbro investors meeting that Fall of Cybertron will be recieving a whole line to its own, and that a new series for the Hub, called rescuebots or something was airing next week (!)? Anyone else confirm?
  16. Gah, I really want one of these too, even moreso than the new Vf-25.......
  17. The VF-19S has improved ankle ball joints over the Fire valk, if that helps you make your choice
  18. Oh....ok then I guess the *love* triangle just didn't seem as obvious or stressed to me as it was in Frontier or the original SDFM series.... I iz sorry
  19. so, apparently Fall of Cybertron is getting its very own toy line, unlike the few releases for War for Cybertron. This is good news indeed. Leader class Optimus is on his way
  20. ^Compared to Basara, I think he does have a point. Although Gamlin was there, I never really felt like he was ever as important as Basara OR Meylene. Relatively, I kinda felt as though he was a slightly more involved character than Brera, or something along those lines. Hmm...maybe its just me?
  21. I actually think pre - orders were tremendous on the -19S due to the meer fact that the -19 Kai was pure awesomesauce, and people knew that it could only get better. Couple that with a potentially much more appealing paint scheme and design, and *BAM* lots of people pre-ordered.
  22. Whats the situation in Taiwan? (@ ignorance) Anyways, did anyone else get Modern Warfare 3? What are your thoughts on it? I just purchased it, but alas, due to studying, am not in a position where I can sit down and play it
  23. Yeah, I think Bandai MIGHT re-release it based on how popular this particular model has gotten, but really, I could see them waiting a few months before any word of a re-release (why would they wan't to put in competition for their new VF-25's?) In my opinion, I think if you want it RIGHT NOW, then evilBay is the only way to go
  24. The VF-19 I got had some residue, but it was VERY light, barely noticable to the untrained eye or skin. And no, with a very light rubbing over with some chem cloth and water, the residue came right off without any issue, and nothing happened to the paint/gloss of the toy either. What I would avoid is using any alcohol based or organic compound based solutions, as these tend to eat through paint and even plastic, as well as avoid using regular tissue wipes, as they leave residue of their own on the toy.
  25. True, it does open up enough room for the head fin, but I think that they easily could have worked around that without feeling the need to go all the way to design a full cockpit hatch system. As Eugimon said, the rotating seat, etc. wouldn't have been necessary. But I'm not complaining, I liked the features Too bad I got rid of my Vf-19, gonna get an -S version soon enough though Back to Vf-17, as someone previously mentioned, I am looking forward to the D model primarily
