  1. Bonta-kun was awesome, as was fumoffu as an overall series. Gah! Such a fun little series to enjoy one's time with!
  2. Yeah, I've been watching Macross 7 more (for the first time), and just got to that scene at Macross 5. And like Graham said, Gamlin is slowly becoming the main character of the series for me. Basara is just to random, off on his own tangents, and hard to relate to. Docker is a jerk, 'nuff said. Gamiln is really the only one that's relatable for me, and even more so, the nicest of all the characters in the series. Thus, with the problems arising in the VF-19S as well, I decided to get this VF-17S rather than the VF-19S, as did Uxi.
  3. Mommar, I feel your pain. The views you express were EXACTLY how I felt when I first transformed my VF-19 Kai. It looked great in fighter and then I transformed it for the first time to GERWALK and BAM! The thing can't even stand unless I put it in a nuetral pose (no A-stance) with the nose pointing straight forward, and not at the ground. Anything more extreme than that and the thing nose-dives, which is really unfortunate since this thing is soo awesome in other modes, but like you, GERWALK is my favorite as well. I sold my VF-19 Kai with the hopes that future releases might fix this issue, but it turns out not to be I guess. Will wait till the YF-19 v.3 comes out before I pick up this mold. In the meantime, I'll keep myself busy with the VF-17 that is coming out
  4. Didn't someone before mention that the metal used is defective? In any case, it still sucks I guess, and I do hope you get your replacement, user error or not. Oh, and I also meant to ask, kind of off tangent from the current topic, but for those that purchased it, does the V.2 VF-25 still have issues with mold release and grease covering the model when you first remove it from the box? I know that was a very large issue with the first release, so I was wondering if that was improved with the newer version [not that it's too big a deal or anything].
  5. Don't take this for granted as I don't have a VF-25 myself, but isn't the connection where the bar broke made of plastic, conversely to the complete shearment of metal in the previously reported case? Either way though, that really sucks, and I hope you get your replacement soon! I don't think they have a different e-mail for parts related issues....
  6. I'd honestly welcome a bundle pack of any sort. I'm a kind of guy who wants to enjoy armor packs at the same time that I get the primary model itself. Armor packs 6 or 7 months after I get the main VF, and I am not too excited about them or interested in them... Probably just me though...
  7. I too would buy a v.3 YF-19 in a heartbeat. If it has the improvements of the VF-19, I don't care how much they charge, as I'll be all over that! All the awesomeness of the new VF-19 mode without the lousy out-of-this-world paint schemes and designs!
  8. Wow, how can they get the wings to be sooo thin and still succesfully pour the molds correctly? Anyhow, can someone post a picture of what you guys are talking about. I want to kind of see the magnitude of damage before I order any future short wing variations of the VF-19. Thanks in advance
  9. Don't worry, if you ordered through HLJ, I think you'll be fine. Functional Sharp Points are nothing to really be worried about
  10. Wut is Haruhi Suzumiya about? I've heard a lot about said series (even a tamashii figure O_O ), but I have yet to comprehend what it's all about. Online synopsis stuff doesn't really help outline why it's so awesome either...
  11. The new "GM goes deep" Let's just hope they opt for Ducati instead of Harley Davidson, although with the way things have worked out, it probably will be the latter
  12. Oh...kinda forgot about that The one's on my fire valk never stayed up for long, so I kinda never bothered to use them. That's not too bad then, I was thinking some major feature that I totally overlooked was missing or something
  13. I posed this question earlier, but anyone got insight on whether an -F or a -P is coming out next in line? The -F would be easier, but who knows....maybe a better selling start to start with the -P and then the -F? Also, I envy all you guy's who got this already. Jenius, you mentioned that the -S variant has fewer gimmicks than the fire valk? I can't seem to recall any additional gimmicks the fire valk had, can you specify?
  14. The VF-19 series must be selling really well from the number of variants coming out. That's fine with me though, as this is easily the best mold that Yamato has every produced, and deservingly so. Graham, any idea of whether the -P variant or -F variant will come out first? I would imagine it would be the -F, as it's really easy to make now compared to the -P, but I recall they were showing off the -P alongside the S variant at the last hobby show?
  15. Wise words indeed. I always try to enjoy the most out of everything I buy, as there is no point in buying them if all they will do is rot on a shelf!
  16. Thanks for the pics Graham and Jenius. Graham, aren't you afraid of any of those valks taking an unwanted nosedown with the innocent little bump of the TV? O_O
  17. Cool Picture! Hopin for that next season. What's more, if this Alter line continious to sell well and go as plan, I'd be excited to see what they could do with an ARX-8 Larveithan.
  18. Oh, alright then, thank! The only Yamato valks I've had are the V.2 VF-1 (which has a very small cockpit) and the VF-19 (which actually has a swivel cockpit), so I never really knew of common Yammie cockpit construction before. Well, this release is looking better and better with each new pic. More publicity, the better
  19. Oh, well, I kinda figured as much from Renato's video with the cockpit mechanism. But even WITHIN the cockpit, can't you see lines around the edges of the seat similar to the VF-19 where the seat alone might sviwel? Maybe I'm just overthinking it....
  20. wow, i didn't think it'd be as long as the VF-19! My heart still goes to the 19 though, just simply more awesome! And yeah, this probably is the tallest 1/60 made (sans the sv-51) by Yamato Also, doesn't the cockpit seat look like it'd rotate, similar to the VF-19? I wonder why...
  21. I'm sorry this has gotten so off tangent, but that was hilarious! roflcopter is flying high today!
  22. The image you posted isn't showing (?)
  23. As long as there iz fast moving bike with teh laserz, I will be happy. And Eugimon is right guys, this movie is most likely going to be marketed toward Kids/Teens who NEVER have had any contact with Akira at all. Furthermore, in order to achieve a PG-13 rating, I think much of the seriousness and dark themes of Akira would have to be edited out...
  24. In case you don't want to read the spoilers, I'll just say that its a bit underwhelming as Eugimon says, but necessary to keep the storyline in check with the rest of UC, and not retcon everything that comes afterward. I don't know how it ends either, just what's in the box, AND I hear that the directors want to digress from the manga storyline, so it's still uncertain about the conclusive episodes of Unicorn. How many episodes were planned again?
