Why haven`t I seen this thread sooner! Great news, but I need a DYRL version of Britai and co!

I remember being 7 years old and crying after the announcer read over the end credits `that was the final episode of Robotech`. I`m not sure but I believe that RTs run was cut short in the area of the United States I was living then (Washington DC) due to complaints from parents. Can anyone confirm this? I later saw the full run of RT on Australian TV. It moved me, and even if that was 90% Mikimoto, Kawamori, Itano & Co it was 10% Macek and thanks to that I`m a Macross fan for life and I experienced a great non dumbed down piece of entertainment very early in life and I think that shaped my tastes today. The best shows when you were a kid were the ones really meant for adults and I couldnt really see myself learning Japanese or reading subtitles when I was 7 years old. Thanks Carl, I salute you.

One more Jetfire owner who saw Robotech before I bought the toy. I was an 80s kid but never a transformers fan, (the fights were so lame and the story was so boring with the exception of the animated movie), Jetfire was the only transformer I ever had or wanted because like many other fans here deep down inside I knew what it really was, even when I was 8 years old and didnt even know that Macross was Japanese or that consumer product companies bought and sold each others products before they were branded.

Nakano Broadway is the new Akihabara for fanboys but if you`re into games then go to Super Potato in Akihabara. The big toystore at Ueno station is good for new stuff...um..and the sakuraya hobby branch at Shinjuku.

All Things Video Games Thread: II

for some real fun try attatching enemies to burning propane gas tanks with the grapple hook and watch them fly away and blow up midair. thats what I love about the hook, you can attach anything to anything so get creative! -
End War. It feels so... sterile. Not gritty like a real war should be..its also clunky (thats what you get for trying to play an RTS on PS3) and where are the civilians I can collatoral damage? but fighting Ruskies in the streets outside the Capitol building? Gold. Has anyone played Operation Flashpoint? any good?

yeah in Australia we never say `an` before a clear h sound as in `hole` either. Historic is different because when we put an before it we pronounce it more like `an Istoric`, therefore making it a vowel sound. Its a convention but most English speakers never put `an` before a clear consonent sound. btw the quote marks on my keyboard are broken : (

How can anyone dislike Howard the Duck? -
Seriously? That would have been so cool.

1/60 Zentraudi soldiers is something Yamato should put out. So perfect. We could finally get some enemies for our Yamatos without too much cost or manufacturing challenges associated with something like a 1/60 Zentraudi mecha.

looks cool but its `a hole` rather than `an hole`.

I got the full complement of promo material a couple of months ago off Yahoo japan auctions. I was dissapointed, I thought at least one of the DVDs would archive all the new animation done for the game but its just quick cuts promoting the game and far from complete. I guess I was foolish to assume this.

Tons of love for Shaw Brothers here! My favorite stuff is cheezy `70s and `80s Hong Kong stuff. Great thread, theres so much stuff..um..most recently I guess I`ve been rewatching the Winners and Sinners series. Funny characters, great shots of Hong Kong in the `80s and great action from Sammo and Jackie. These were some of my favorite movies when I was growing up. Also a big fan of stuff like Fantasy Mission Force, Eastern Condors, Police Story series, anything with Samo, Jackie, and Yuen Biao. And when Richard Norton turns up things get mad cheezy.!! this a great thread, good addition to Internet Nerd HQ AKA `Macross World.`

Unexpected to see this thread on Macross World. World Wide Stussy Tribe member, the missing link between hip hop and punk, key person in street culture: respect.

your avatar is beautiful drew carey. I had a jp launch PS3, it had 4 usb ports, SACD, backwards compatible, I loved it. then I needed money and sold it. got a MGS4 gunmetal color limited edition a year later but its not the same. by the time I was ready to get a new PS3 the launch ones were going for 60,000 yen used. at least the MGS4 model is the original shape. the new slims look...cheap and nasty.

Nice!! Any advice on how best to achieve a 1/60 DYRL Canon Fodder VF-1A with GBP? Besides the panel lines did you just simply plug in the DYRL hands from another valk? Will the GBP fit a V2 1/60 CF? How can I get a DYRL CF head??? Do you think UN Spacy would outfit a 1A with the GBP or were the GBP units quite limited by the time of the final confrontation in DYRL chronology? Any info on number in service? I just think it would look cool, like a heavily armed grunt, but I dont want to do it if its not canon or conceivably canon. The GBP briefly appearing in DYRL is a 1J right?

There are only 2 Alien movies There is only 1 Predator moive There are only 3 Star Wars movies There are only 7 Police Academy movies There is only 1 Macross TV series, 1 OVA series, 1 standalone OVA, 1 movie, 1 20th anniversary DVD, 2 pachinko promo DVDs and 2 compilation videos. still, stills don`t look bad, looks like the Spetznaz might team up with the West in this one? http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?...st&id=75352

New Yamato Anime to Open in Japanese Theaters in 2009
Lott Sheen replied to UN Spacy's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I`ll pass on this. The Japanese nationalist and Japanese Imperial apologist themes in it never sat well with me.
