  1. Will it be the original colours, or will it be a whole new colour scheme?
  2. What I find really really funny is how there's practically no controversy to Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines. There's liberal doses of swearing, over the top sexuality and (although not shown), sex scenes (oh, and of course, the usual offenders: violence, blood, and offenses to religion). Heck, Killer7 isn't even raising any eyebrows either. That's all. There's other stuff out there that can catch loads of crap, but they're not even being noticed...
  3. Ironhide (the Toy) didn't have a head. Sorry could not resist. Actually, he did. Look behind the windsheld in 'bot mode, and you'll see a tiny head (assuming the sticker has been applied, or the sticker survived)!
  4. Uh... Microwave ovens work by vibrating the water molecules inside whatever is in the microwave (ie chicken). Vibrating water molecules rub up against other molecules, and that creates friction, which in turn creates heat, and lots of heat. I think if you stuck yourself in front of that microwave gun, you'll cook yourself in a rather painful fashion.
  5. Cybertron showed up early at my local TRU (St. Laurent) in Ottawa. Snagged a Vector Prime today. Slightly different from the Japanese version (missing gold paint in some areas, and the solar panel wings are missing their paint outline), but overall still looks damn cool! They also had the super-duper huge Starscream, Megatron, and a bunch of the little guys also.
  6. Saw the latest episode of JLU on YTV. What a plot twist! Can't say more!
  7. My plan would begin with "After the B-52s have completed their carpeting runs..." No way in hell am I going into a jungle with T-rexes and Velocoraptors. Not without a good saturation bombing first.
  8. FAST packs will only fit on the Hikaru, Max, Miriya 1J and Strike Roy (aka the FAST packs come with Roy). Oh, and the VF-1D Other than that, none of the FAST packs will fit with any of the other fighters (totally, the Elintseeker and Ostritch will accept most of the FAST packs but not all the parts). As for the 1:60 Max itself, it's a rock solid toy. No faults and and while it can't be compaired to the 1:48 VF-1s for looks, it does have a charm all of its own! Here's some pictures of the 1:60 Max.
  9. Hmm... I'd rather not forgive Monogram at the moment. Besides, a 1:48th F-15 E would be rather... big. However, Revell of Germany, I have had nothing but good experiences with them, with exception of the really cheap instruction manual. Works but needs improvement.
  10. I wouldn't mind a 1:48th scale A-10 except one tiny problem: It's a little too big. I'd rather stick to 1:72nd, and avoid Monogram products for the time being. I've haven't had a good experience with them yet...
  11. Yah, the A-10 is rather bumpy compaired to many other planes. First glance to the Hase kit, is that it's missing the GPS dome behind the cockpit... Hmm... I have this "curse" with A-10s. It's litterally the third A-10 I've bought. The first was the Italiari, and that's in pieces (and I mean sawed pieces). The second was an Academy A-10, which was the recipient of a kitbashing experiment (smush the Italiari cockpit into the Academy) that didn't go well at all... I think I'll play it safe and just build the Hase A-10 so that I can HAVE an A-10 on my shelf. I might mish mash weapons from the previous 2 kits but that's about it.
  12. Sweetness. Any idea where the kit came from, because I'd like to get one myself. Speaking of models, does anybody have any idea of the "best" A-10 in 1:72nd scale. I've got this Hasegawa (dubbed the Mil killer on the box), and it has raised panel lines (not a problem for me), but is there something out there that's more accurate?
  13. Finally got my hands on a silverstreak yesterday. Local Walmart was selling Alternators for $10 Canadian. Saw it as a good reason to pick him up!
  14. BP8, which has already been mentioned: Do not attempt to make the folded tail fins on the backpack level with the searchlights on the shoulder. Doing so will probably break part BP8. It's supposed to be slightly below the level of the search lights on the shoulder. I picked up a Super 1J Milia, and I'm having loads of fun with it. I also picked up some of Devin's waterslide decals, and so far they're going on great!
  15. If your decals aren't protected by a topcoat, then simple masking tape (Tamiya's will do, but cheap store brands work too) taped over the decal will peel most of it off in the first peel. I found this out the... fun way on my 1:48 IL-2m3... Luckly it was only one of the red stars, so it's an easy fix... If your decal is protected by a topcoat, you'll need to get the top coat off with it's stripper. However, I cannot guarantee that the paintjob underneath will be unaffected.
  16. I'm working on a small 1:72nd Academy F-86. Converting it (or so I think) to a RCAF Saber. Just want something simple to do inbetween other things to do.
  17. Technically there should be another swatzika (sp? ) on the other leg. Most WW2 german fighters had 2 swatzikas. One on either side of the rudder. Other than that nitpick, it looks great. Give it a head and it'll look even better!
  18. Thanks. Although, I'm not really that good. If you want to get rid of the seam line that's inside the head (and visible through the clear blue visor), you'll need to glue an ultra thin piece of plastic on top of the two halves. I painted mine silver so that light reflects back out of the visor.
  19. The TRU in Ottawa were offering a miniset of Anikin's fighter with a $20 or more purchase of Star Wars Lego. Good enough reason for me to get the Tie-Fighter and the Clone Scout Walker. And the ARC-170 set is HUGE.
  20. I know, I love that design. Here's mine! Front Back I didn't apply the giant sticker (boo Bandai, you provided waterslides for almost everything else! ) to the shield, as I'm looking into having a nice coat of arms done up and made into a waterslide decal. Other than that, it was a great model to build.
  21. My opinion on F-91: Fun, but ok movie. Great models (and really cheap too)!
  22. Shame on you! Go and watch it in the theater, at least the picture quality will be much much better. One thing that bugged a few people about the movie (that I've talked to) was Darth Vader's stagger when he gets off of the operating table. My reply is: "It's the first time he's walked on those mechanical legs, he hasn't had time to get used to them." And then I make an analogy to stilts as they take some practice to get used to.
  23. I would have thought that it was blood on the feet. Hey, blood ends up everywhere! But so far, the bad boy is looking VERY bad boyish. Can't wait to see it done. Plan to have it shoot down IL-2s in droves? FYI, the IL-2 was a russian ground pounder whose forward section of the plane was made out of rolled armour plate so that it could come back in mostly one piece. The lack of a tail gunner in early models made it a flying target for German fighters (and bombers who got off the lucky shot or two).
  24. Actually one good thing about this micro-GBA SP. The regular SP will drop in price, and I'll be able to pick up a backup GBA SP for cheap. That way, when the first SP gives out (hopefully never), I'll have another ready to go. Of course, I'll take the battery out for long term storage. Won't do to have battery leakage destroying the unit before I can use it. Only gripe about the SP is the position of the headphone/recharger jack. With the headphone adapter in, it makes for a very uncomfortable unit. Another thing: I don't like the smaller screen. Sure it boosts battery life (smaller screen usually equals less power drain), but it'll be a drain on my eyesight. Games with plenty of text (Golden Sun, and any other RPG) probably will have some clarity issues with text.
  25. Er... But why? Honestly. It's a tiny GBA SP. With no screen protection. And perhaps a smaller screen. I don't mind the frontlight on my GBA, it works great, and it doesn't wash out the image too much anyways.
