1/3000 is as big as it gets for a TV style SDF-1...unless you splurge on the 1/2000 HDP Yamato kit....and that will be DYRL style, just like the 1/3000 Yamato SDF-1 DYRL-style that was released 2 years ago or so.... If it is pure white with no yellowing...and nothing missing or broken....then $100 is not bad for a loose Takatoku example.... If you do not want it...PM me the link, maybe I will pick it up!

I think that is exactly what is going on.... It is much easier to rationalize one over-the-top purchase to complete a collection vs. having to start an entire Yamato PT 1/60 collection from scratch.... Hoping for some good news soon....

the issue is there will always be some idiot that will just re-insert the images back and then claim it as their own or worse...try to sell it....there really is no simple answer....unless you maybe do some subscription with your fanbase...where payment would be supplying proof of ownership of the original content source.....for example a pic of you with the manga and a local paper showing the date....just throwing out ideas.... I really hope you do translate Macross the First...

Honestly, I am one of those "needs to have a box" types....so if I were you I would be working on getting my money back.... How did you pay for it?....Was it described as being in mint box?....If you paid via paypal or eBay....you should be covered including shipping....Most credit cards also provide some sort of purchase protection....the key is to take action quickly....there are time limits in which you are allowed to file a complaint to try and get your money back.... Who was the seller?....Which Mazinger Z?

I also hope that Arcadia revives the 1/60 Macross line...even if it is only as online exclusives.....paces them out....almost like a subscription...2-3 a year.... The prices above, with the possible exception of the VF-4G, I would say are not scalping prices...just market prices based on a demand created by the belief that Arcadia has indeed abandoned the 1/60 line.....we are basically seeing within months...what took years to happen to the old Takatoku/Bandai 1/55 prices......I am thinking history will repeat itself....maybe not soon...but eventually....someone, if not Arcadia, will buy the Yamato molds and start cranking them out..... With that said, there are some samples that I don't think will ever be made again......sort of how Bandai has never re-released the 1/55 VE-1 or VT-1 (maybe next year though on DYRL's 30th?).....like the VF-1J Commander, VF-1S stealth, and a few others... So let's not lose hope...or forget what has happened to Macross toy collecting in the past.....

For me, Macross Zero and Macross the First actually have helped in bringing the pre-DYRL "look" inline with the current "look" of the Macross universe....basically, the valk color schemes and military uniforms.....I also appreciate how the Macross Frontier designers went the extra step of designing different uniforms for our beloved heroes...after all they are SMS not NUNS.....
