    I would say you paid what it is worth.....both the Vf-1S and the YF-19 25th anniversary editions did not seem to be very popular....however, with the uncertainty of PT valks from Arcadia (fka Yamato)....it's value may increase at some point...     Prices have dropped only because of imminent and known about re-issues....the problem is that Bandai seems to limit the number of toys it actually produces for each valk...so it is anyone's guess as to the long-term effect on pricing.... You must choose...but choose wisely

    As far as PT valks is concerned.... Yamato went out of business....Emerged as Arcadia...future of Macross PT valks is uncertain at this time..... Only things coming up now are Bandai valks...with the VF-171 standard just days away from release....followed by a VF-25F re-release and a new release of the RVF-25.....you can still find pre-orders at some online shops....     That is actually a fair trade...for now, not sure what effect the re-release of a VF-27 would have on future pricing for it.....however.... The market price for the VF-25S renewal has actually dropped significantly since the announcement of the re-release of the VF-25F renewal....as it is very likely that a re-release of a VF-25S is soon to be announced.... Difference between the Yamato and Bandai market price for valk toys....Bandai is still making them...Yamato/Arcadia has gone stealth regarding Macross PT valks!     Actually, you may need to change your strategy, the cheapest way to get one will most likely be from an international seller once Bandai announces the pre-order.....which I am still unsure whether it will be a bundled VF + super parts combo or just the super parts.....does anyone on the board know for sure?

    I am not much of a kit guy....however, I will get this if only to convince Bandai to possibly release a DX Chogokin 1/55 scale version in time for the DYRL 30th anniversary....or if not that.....maybe convince them to re-release the 1/55 Hi-Metal VF-1S Strike Valkyrie (Hikaru and an all-new Roy), the VT-1, and the VE-1........ I know a fool's hope.....

    Only SOLD items matter. You or I could list a Vf-4G or Max or Miria for $5,000 if we wanted to....will it sell....probably not....this thread is just to list SOLD prices....the "auctions of great absurdity" thread is for prices that are not realistic in the current Macross collectibles market.... Apparently, $500+ VF-4G's, Max's and Miria's are no longer "absurd" to many collectors.... It is what it is........blame the 'invisible hand".....
