  1. Well, cease and desist letters shutdown all major importers of Macross goods in the US....I still remember the big BBTS Macross sell-off.....maybe similar letters were sent to these 3P companies and it was enough to spook them....such letters would not cost HG that much, but the benefits would be great if they got HG what they wanted (cheap sale of remaining stock or straight-up confiscation) .... But really, who cares....the stuff's garbage and it'll just further tarnish the "Robotech" brand....assuming there is any shine left! The real concern is the effect on future 3P Macross products....hopefully, outfits like the one that released the Makurosu, don't see Fanmaketoys' failure as a sign that there is no market for 3P Macross items...
  2. I'm hoping that the SAP will help lock the fighter mode nice and tight....a fool's hope, I know....
  3. LOL....the "canon" is falling apart already?....I knew nothing good would come out of Disney taking over the franchise....all they did was pour out the old pitcher of EU Kool-Aid and replaced it with a "new and improved" pitcher of EU Kool-Aid....now with less Lucas...so it HAS TO BE GOOD!!! I wonder if it will be revealed that Mon Mothma is a priestess in the Church of the Force?
  4. Maybe HG threatened to sue and then confiscated all of the i-robots/fanmaketoys stock on the grounds of IP infringement and will now get to sell these in the US without spending a dime in development and manufacturing costs...wonder if HG sued fanmaketoys, then they offloaded their stock to i-robots....and now i-robots gets screwed by either handing over their stock to HG or selling it all at a loss due to some legal action..... The worst thing that could come about from this is we never see another HK 3P Macross product again.....what ever happened to the SD stuff that was teased by the 3P company that made the Makurosu??? Maybe they were able to sell all of their Makurosi before HG was able to get to them.
  5. Finally had a chance to take it out....it's OK for now....a Bandai DX 1/3000 still needs to happen.... Pictured here with some of its other "low-cost option" SDF-1 cousins produced throughout the past 30+ years.... If the maker of the Makurosu comes back and produces a non-SD in the same scale...it would blow the Megahouse away....plus it would most likely be PT...and possibly cheaper!
  6. Engineering failures.... Several problems could have easily been avoided with tabs that would actually lock in place...tabs that would swivel or slide out of sight....etc These "failures" are most apparent in fighter mode....the battroid and gerwalk modes are actually very solid...
  7. Thanks! Updated my original post with the magazine info.

-1S Roy is the same art as the -1S Hikaru...it just has a "greenish" tint to it....assuming they are keeping it unchanged from the pic show during the Tamashi event a few months back...
  9. It was probably "the last one" off of the buyer's Yamato Macross valk bucket list....still you won't be able to get a VF-X for anything close to MSRP these days....the only thing that could crash the market for the rarer Yamato's is an Arcadia re-release (see VF-4, but kinda doubtful for a VF-X) or an all-new Bandai DX VF-1 series (but even if that were to happen, I doubt they'd release a VF-X...but anything is possible I suppose)...
  10. Yamato 1/60 VF-X - New, MIB - 50,000 JPY http://page14.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/s485161490
  11. Looks good....can it achieve this pose with the Daedelus and Prometheus?
  12. More ideas...
  13. Just like the DYRL-style helmet worn by the HMR GBP-1J's pilot! Looks good!
  14. Not sure if these have been posted....
  15. Here is the flyer...poster may be similar....
  16. It's highly likely that a promotional poster would have been printed, however, in all my searches I have never run across one. I have run into a flyer for the game.
  17. Packaging pics on ebay... http://www.ebay.com/itm/401081339845?euid=96e5b6a338554809b212fc9809343298&aid=222007&meid=6a166f43ad4d4e788ab4f90b25679013&cp=1&_trksid=p11010.c100352.m3747&_trkparms=aid=222007&algo=SIC.MBE&ao=1&asc=20150112095601&meid=6a166f43ad4d4e788ab4f90b25679013&pid=100352&rk=4&rkt=6&sd=121934220967
  18. Not sure which magazine this Ishtar poster came from...but I had not encountered it before (mainly because I sort of neglect MII collecting) so decided to add it into the furoku/poster/MII collection... This poster originally included in the August 1992 Vol.80 issue of AnimeV....thanks Save!
  19. It's the guitar riff and percussion that make it sound so much different than any other music in the film....can't describe why, but it just went so well with her suddenly showing up in the scene....to me it was the highlight of the entire movie.....if the whole movie had captured that moment it would have been epic.....it would have been....fun
  20. The scene where she makes her appearance as WW was literally the best and most fun scene of the whole movie....her theme song just made her even more badass....first Fury Road....then TFA.....now this....badass chicks are back again!

I think you win for the highest "cost" to get them back to the US....
