Who knows...like I said, if any of it was actually true to what has actually been delivered for screening...then it didn't sound all that bad....but who knows, it would seem I am no longer part of their targeted demographic...seemingly anyone who grew up on the OT is irrelevant...

yeah, seems pretty obvious their GoT "thing" would have translated well into a KOTOR SW trilogy...still, with Disney seemingly losing steam at the end of what they expected would have been the trilogy to have "fixed" their prequel problems...they just created a whole new set of them.....they are probably really nervous about handing over the reigns of any SW project right now to anyone or any group that even has a slight possibility of screwing things up....again.....which probably explains the move of getting Star Wars back into the "safe zone" that was likely promised by JJ I recently read the latest "script leak" and honestly, if even half true...it doesn't sound that bad....sounds like a "safe" enough ending...we'll find out soon enough!

I thought that too.....does Disney really need another Trilogy that will start strong and then fizzle and be condemned by the fanbase at the final act? Maybe the announcement was indeed made due to the "street cred" Benioff and Weiss were thought to have brought to the Star Wars Universe...then Season 8 concluded....

I have a few KO's but really not into them....the one you pictured comes up on ebay often enough if you are in search of one... So how far down the Takatoku rabbit hole are you in? Are you trying to collect all Macross Takatoku or just certain pieces?
-
For a second I thought you meant you had made custom fast-packs for the Takatoku Toys 1/100 valks! ....then i read the "before they even made them available" part...and knew you weren't referring to the 1/100 Takatokus...

So now that this mess of a sequel trilogy is about to end...went back to see what I said back when The Force Awakens even had a name and we were all still "hopeful" about this trilogy.... Guess Sidious is back.....as a "Sith in hiding".... Back-up plan indeed! yeah...and no one seemed to care... Apparently, the "Rebels" never went back to Endor....and Darth Sidious settled for elite "Sith Troopers"....maybe Sith Troopers are half Man/half-Ewok.... like some cheap Uruk-hai ripoff!....

The sculpt is fine for what it is, I am just not too interested in collecting anything that isn't remotely close to anything related to Macross ... I can only assume you are limited to producing things that do not completely copy available "Macross" lineart....with that said, there are several sources available that are not 100% "canon" yet still have Macross "street cred". The armor produced recently by the folks at FEXT hobby is an example of a non-canon accessory, but still having Macross affiliation...the Thunder Hammer armor. FEXT has clearly taken liberties with items printed in the Macross Variable Master Files books. No reason why you can't. I had already posted some suggestions, but it is your project so only you can ultimately decide what to produce. If Macross "inspired" is all you will be able to come up with, then I probably will not be willing to support your work. I know there are other parties creating "exact" replicas of mecha and other things seen in the Macross shows/movies....if you are strictly keeping your production numbers low, perhaps you too can fly under the HG radar, if that concerns you. If so, you clearly have the talent to come up with lineart accurate items that would sell-out to Macross fans.

I would like to potentially support them on a future effort....this one, however, is an extremely easy pass for me
-
I hope you are correct...they did the same with the Regult 2-pack a few years ago....let's hope for one last PO for 2019!
-
Unless you have just jumped on the Macross bandwagon a few weeks ago....you should know ALL Macross PT toys eventually become obsolete...you actually look forward to the next greatest version of your favorite VF to come out.....if not, then maybe stick to Toynami VF-1's...

Meanwhile outside....added an Oogie Boogie inflatable to the display....Lock, Shock and Barrel joins Halloween Town too! Welcome to Halloween Town! Everyone's favorite ghost dog! My son is a Ghostbuster this year....complete with Ecto goggles and Proton pack from the Spirit Halloween store.....so I needed a prop...i considered the available ECTO-1 inflatable...maybe next year.... Required front door jack-o-lanterns! Lock, Shock and Barrel masks hanging on the front door for a friendly Halloween greeting!

It's Halloween time again! After maybe 15 years in storage, I finally decided to pull out my Dept 56 Halloween Village set for display....had a blast setting it up with the kids...Been collecting these since the first "Haunted Mansion" was released by Dept 56 back in 1998! Been adding a few pieces from the collection every year, but by no means do I have all of them....I particularly like the "amusement park" editions with the Halloween theme...I wasn't able to display everything I have but I think I displayed enough of them....most have some sort of gimmick, such as sound, motion, and lights...many have all three! Happy Halloween MacrossWorld!

I think a VF-1D would be a fitting conclusion to the "1/48" DX line

This is one of the yearly "shock and awe" events...sadly, nothing really shocking or awe-inspiring materialized, in terms of Macross. One positive note however, is that Bandai apparently has already provided us with a pretty good look at what Macross items will most likely be produced at some point....when each actually is produced/released is still anyone's guess.... The future still looks pretty promising.....it's just clearly apparent now that we are being forced into playing the long game...
