  1. It runs on the WiiU but not as well, and the graphics aren't as good. Framerate is worse. Draw distances aren't as far. Foliage density is lower. Textures are lower resolution. There are more modern lighting effects that don't exist on the WiiU version. Every hardware launch has some failures. It's not wide spread. I'm going to check out the hori protectors Yeah, I feel like the mechanic they built in to force people to make use of every weapon style is so strict that it actually makes you afraid to use any of your weapons because they're comically breakable.
  2. "Farther" is kind of relative in this game. Maybe I just went off in a different direction (I went East like the game said to.) I think my biggest complaint with the game so far is the breakable weapons, not because you have to worry about durability but because if you run into a mob of six Bokoblins you're going to break two to three of them before the encounter is over. Come on, give me a few skirmishes before I have some problems. I've found two new sets of armors, I've upgraded one set of them. I have an extra heart container now. I've come up with some recipes that will replenish 10+ hearts plus two and a half stamina wheels. Kind of a waste of ingredients right now. lol I have five horses which are useful until you come across something you want to climb. Then it's a question of if you want to ditch the horse you've been training and bonding with or climb up to some vast expanse and run across it on foot. Also, jousting is great fun. I hope there are proper lances in the game because jousting is one of my primary means of attack now. What's really dumb is if you find a magic wand, if you cast a few spells with it your wand will break too. Not even if you actually physically strike something. It's REALLY irritating. I suppose you could claim the magic power is so strong every time you cast something it takes a physical toll on your wand but... the durability thing is so low on every item it's a real pain.
  3. I should probably get around to trying out Bomberman too...
  4. I've only been able to play Zelda on and off so I'm not terribly far but I finally came across my first magic wilder today. Not a TERRIBLE fight but the games combat really has a very Zelda-fied Witcher feel. You have to be prepared, fights are going to be hard and you have to be more strategic. I think the fight would have been harder had I been in open air instead of encountering this Wizard-thing in a cave because there seemed to be a lot of flaming debris raining from the sky outside both sides of the cave entrance. Flame rod should be fun to mess with once I can get back to the game in the next few days.
  5. Okay, I've figured it out. The other movies are what happens in the comic books as seen in Logan but they aren't the reality.
  6. Their final fight scene was filmed in Chama??? I didn't know they filmed this in New Mexico.
  7. Yeah, that's the PDP one. Did the protector go on the screen easy? It doesn't change the color of the screen any does it? I went ahead and ordered a pair of Orzly Tempered Glass Screen Protectors. Supposedly Oleophobic too.
  8. The officially licensed PDP one's? I've only seen tempered glass screen covers at online retailers.
  9. I'm using the charger that came with the system. I caved in and bought a second one so I can have the dock at home plugged in all the time too. I was looking around but couldn't find a review for a battery that could charge while in use. Or, rather, while in use you only gain about an hour to hour and a half of life versus powering down and getting a full recharge for another three hours. But that could have been the battery they were using.
  10. Funny, I had Fast Racing Neo on the WiiU, which RMX is a remix of, and the WiiU version is WAY harder than the Switch version is. The Switch one almost seems too easy now. Also, has anybody tried one of those fast charging portable batteries with the Switch yet? I have to bring a wall-wart with me to my Moms because the battery just doesn't have the life it should.
  11. Has anybody tried out any of the screen protectors available for the Switch yet? I'm considering one of the many tempered glass screen protectors but I am unsure which are quality.

    Bandai DX VF-31

I'm sold. Put it a video game and milk that mold Bandai!
  13. For the Peotect Armor to look anywhere near accurate Arcadia would have to redesign the base 11. It could stand for some modern tweaks at this point but I'm pretty sure will never, ever happen.
  14. I don't know, I watched a teardown of the Switch and the battery is not as easy to reach as the WiiU controller. There's internals for cooling built on top of it and it appears tjere's adhesive holding the battery in place too. I did wonder if someone would come up with a way to create a larger battery. Hell, a slightly thicker system would be easier for me to hold. Make a battery the size of the whole back of the damn thing. But that would screw up docking then.
  15. Finally got to pick up the Switch. It really isn't terribly convenient to carry around with you without some sort of bag/case which is too bad considering I find it far more convenient to play handheld than the bit of TV playing I attempted a few minutes ago. The battery life sucks. That really hampers it. Really bad. I'd have preferred the Switch be slightly thicker and heavier if it meant the entirety of the back of the thing were a massive battery. To be honest if the thing were a bit thicker it would be easier for me to hold. A lot of big-handed people have said it's pretty comfortable but I have pretty small hands and I don't find it all that comfortable to hold. I'd prefer so add-on grips or something. The built-in stand sucks. It's flimsy and doesn't adjust to any sort of really useful angle. Zelda is effing fun, however. I haven't tried out Bomberman yet. I downloaded the full version of Shovel Knight, I Am Setsuna and Fast RMX. Fast is a pretty good racing game. Kind of a cross between F-Zero and Wipeout. Looks excellent too. I only wish I could transfer some music to my memory card and play that instead of the in-game tracks. It's too bad I don't live in Japan, Europe or Australia as they all got between three (Japan) and six (Oz) Neo Geo games on the eShop as well. Though I suppose I could create a new account in a different Country and download them that way since the system isn't region locked.
  16. Oh, I thought for a moment you confused the DX version for the NYCC Special version that comes with Black Skull body armor. Kinda dumb how many variants of that figure are coming out all on top of each other.
  17. Still waiting to have the time to pick up my Switch at Best Buy. They had the systems at one store but the pro controller at another so it's a wide swath I have to make to get it all.
  18. Black on black?

    Bandai DX VF-31

I would buy everything depicted in that book.
  20. There is now a waiting list for the Classic Punisher if you want to roll the dice on a cancellation opening up.
  21. Bandai is really starting to piss me off with the weird issues they're having with each of their Star Wars figures. Han finally arrived today and his gun holster is about the stupidest design choice I've seen. The strap is attached to his belt and you can swap out either the holster with the gun in it or the holster empty when he's holding. On it's own that seems sane, however the slot in the strap is super large and it's just a pass through so the holster actually pegs into Hans thigh. The result, if you want to pose Han with his right leg bent you HAVE to remove the holster. I noted the hole cut through the strap is too large because you can't even kinda fudge it and keep the holster on. STUPID. Also, his collar prevents him from turning his head up much. That prevents you from putting Han into his most popular hunched over while shooting stance. Also, the boot swivel blows and makes it impossible to spread his legs far enough for said hunched over stance as well. *sigh* On the other hand, it's largely just the Storm Trooper figure all over again but the Manga Realization Iron Man figure looks BAD. ASS. Samurai Cyber-Punk Iron Man. Unfortunately UPS screwed up sorting and War Machine Mk3 won't arrive until next week (so glad I paid for three day shipping...) so no mini-review of that. Also, 3P0 and R2 went up for preorder on Tuesday, apparently. I could only find them still available at Nippon-Yasan. Not Figuarts but I pre-ordered Revoltech Spider-Gwen as well.
  22. So overclocking the PSP only worked if you were tied to an outlet? You can do that with the Switch already... with the dock. There are articles/videos around the net that explain, and in some cases show with thermal imaging, how hot the system runs between handheld and docked modes. Docked it runs around 50 celsius, in hand held it peaked at 40 running the new Zelda.
