  1. For clarification: The E on the poster Peter posted is the Refit of ST:Beyond (#3 on Chris' list), the four illustrations above are the concept designs for the ST:B's Refit of the Refit (#4 on Chris' list), and the illustration I posted is approximately how the concept design was tweaked into the A we get at the end of Beyond.
  2. Don't miss his A-Wing: http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/235005552-bandai-a-wing/
  3. I wonder if Goodsmile got Blomkamp's approval: http://futurefactory.goodsmile15th.jp/
  4. A word of warning: I have a bottle of old wood glue and that turns yellow as well...
  5. Interesting pictures, thank you! Of course the Gimix has great details and definition, but the canopy looks pretty wide, and the landing gear is totally off, something I didn't notice in the previous photos I've seen. And in comparison, I think the F-Toys Valk has a better side profile in the front section.
  6. I halfway expected a Cylon Basestar to show up... Come to think of it, a Ronald D. Moore reboot is what Star Trek needs the most.
  7. I think the deck orientation in the Death Star is horizontal, so from the crew's perspective, the dish is on the upper or lower hemisphere. Of course you could also do an inverted pass with a Star Destroyer.

  9. Ok apparently that is the city from the opening shot of the trailer. Man these SDs are huge. Also, I'm with Jeremy Jahns:
  10. All the right buttons pushed! I wonder if they adapted the idea of Vader's castle with the shot of the Star Destroyer hovering over the rock fortress.
  11. Instead of masking tape, you can use something like Bare Metal Foil, which lays down pretty well on curved surfaces with a little patience. Cover the whole canopy with a piece of foil, the cut the separations with a sharp pointed hobby knife. I used this first on the canopy of my Falcon, and have done it successfully with aircraft canopies since then.
  12. First look at some Master Files pages *faints*
  13. That's the story that was spun after the evacuation. Here's an article (in German) that comments on some of the alternative theories: http://www.welt.de/geschichte/zweiter-weltkrieg/article116290059/Duenkirchen-Warum-Hitler-seinen-Sieg-verschenkte.html
  14. Thank you guys, you all get 100 nerd points. I used the beautiful 1/72 Hasegawa kit, great detail and dirt cheap. Any ideas for a WWII TIE fighter?
  15. The latest theory of german military historians seems to be that Hitler's "Halt" was not a result of military planning but aimed to discipline the Oberkommando, who rebelled against a civilian leader (the Fuhrer).
  16. Argentina may stock up on Mirages again; apparently there was also interest in russian Fencers at one point.
  17. Interestingly, the Texan is based on an 80s airframe from swiss manufacturer Pilatus. I also read that the Argentinian Air Force is considering to reactivate the Pucara.
  18. Wait for the Hase fighters and complete some Star Wars kits in the meantime
  19. Or try the Embraer 145: You can't have too much sensor bumps & fins.
