I'm even more excited that we have Eddie Munson 🤘 (Stranger Things) and COUSIN! (The Bear) in it 😄

@Thom is that the Meng kit? Looks like a good start.
_
Today's heroic effort was a detail upgrade on the front of the head.
-
@Chas That's a nice set of asteroids you got there!
For a change from scale modeling, I'm tinkering on the Moderoid Thunderjaw. The kit is great, but once you take a deep dive into the reference material, you can't find an end with the details. Paiting this behemoth will be quite an undertaking.

I might skip the Orange Cat this time, the design mods don't convince me, the proportions look off, and the feet are problematic as well.
Moderoid looks good for friends of the classic design.

Plamax AAA Wunder?

HMAGARAGE is still busy with their 1/72 F-15 kai

Severance & Silo are on my list.
This one from Germany looks actually cool:

Looks really exciting. Also, it's cool to know that no silver bullet will wipe out the monsters at the end.

Beautiful reproduction of Akira Tani's sculpt on the Artpla Galient.

That's looking great, I have a stencil like that too that I've been thinking of trying but I have found this guy I'm following on Facebook and he's amazing in 1/72 scale. I think I might try his acrylic ink technique instead of these spray patterns as I find it more scale appropriate for 1/72. Have a look here;

He's a fellow Canuklehead too and I have his book and its amazing!!! Highly recommend it.
Amazing effect, but it looks like a lot of tedious processing. I would never finish a kit going that route.
Speaking of, I completed the Intruder cockpit today.

@505thAirborne Make sure to give Ronald D. Moore's "For All Mankind" a try while you're on Apple.

Ok so in finally watched "The Creator" on D+. I was aware of it slightly lacking in writing, but it turned out the writing was actually insultingly bad and all the pretty pictures couldn't make up for it, and the droning Zimmer soundscape finished it off for me. I feel bad about all the talented concept artists involved in this film.
My recommendation is to just get the artbook and have a nice movie playing in your head.

Yeah, Meng has three little plastic kits, and I think they had some kinda SH Figuarts-ish prototypes for Paul and Feyd Rautha on display.
-
A bit of progress on the Intruder. Decals are from Caracal Models.
@wm cheng this is 1/48 scale - you are the one who makes their 1/72 kits look like 1/48 😄

Will finish season 2 of "For All Mankind" tonight and I'm on the edge already.

Another Ripley, they trailer is cool.

Even if Moore's BSG hadn't had the creative, original writing and great actors, I'd still love it for all the Epic Space Battle scenes and the Galactica's design update. Just hearing the DRADIS sound effect takes me right back. And I was a huge fan of the original series.
The "33" episode is peak SF TV.
Pretty sure Esmail will ride heavily on the "they are among us" paranoia train, which is kinda his home territory, but it's hard to imagine the show not having some nice space stuff.

He got a reaction from John Dykstra!

Aviators must have reeeeeeally sharp eyes to notice these details while in a dogfight...

@Rock I find using worm masking much easier since I can concentrate on the coverage and texture without having to hit the demarcation line on each panel. I also start with the darkest color, because when you paint over the light color border later, it will look different from the other areas with the dark primer coat.

If he waits too long, there won't be any manned fighters...

I would have loved a movie when it still had a chance to become "The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly IN SPACE", but with all the story already told in the series, I don't see how it could be anything other than more of the same.
The entropy continues...
