  1. Yes, that's the 1/144 Falcon; it's only a tad larger than an A5 size paper. Perfect for limited display space, but with all the details. Fine Molds really set the mark for IP SF kits with this release. (and I deliberately photographed it to look small, using a higher focal length)
  2. Just need to decide if I make a "landed" or "flying" display.
  3. New pictures of the Alter toys: Now that is a really impressive set of extras.
  4. Not so long ago in a Galaxy not so far away...
  5. Just got the shipping note from HLJ. And that box art is just epic!
  6. The Tamiya, Revell und Testors YF-23s are reboxed versions of the Italeri kit. There seems to be another kit made by Dragon. The Italeri model is fairly accurate in shape, but to me the bigger issue are the raised panel lines and the sparse surface details. This is a nice kit, but unfortunately still in limbo.
  7. Oh yes. The Force is strong with this one.
  8. Feels like a ride in the time machine
  9. It's really a crime that Moebius Models didn't let you work on their master. Their new kit has an impressive size, but the engineering is totally last century - look at the detail pics.
  10. A very interesting analysis, but I don't think it works further than the "striking similarities" that Nolan draws to the film making process. If you follow the analogies, what would be the significance of "The Money"(Saito) being shot and dieing, to name just one example. "Blade Runner" was described as a layer cake by Scott, with lots of different aspects worked in instead of one key "solution"; the same description would fit "Inception", too. - I don't remember if it was explained clearly in the movie, but how do you get out of the Limbo? If Saito and Cobb don't get a kick, do they have to commit suicide? Does Saito just shoot Cobb and propels him into his dream again, where he sees the kids?
  11. Looks like Pan's Labyrinth is raided by Charlie's Angels. So Snyder finally joined the popcorn-flick fraction?
  12. The Alter flip knight kinda torpedoes my plans to make a conversion from the Bandai Rafe. But at least I have a defined color scheme now.
  13. Tornado is on the way
  14. That looks like was taken straight out of the 1980's Flash Gordon movie.
  15. I re-watched Aliens recently (from my VHS tapes set). Camerons front- and back projection technique may have saved them a lot of money in the production, but the shots haven't aged too well. I hope they can fix some of that in the new transfer to BD.
  16. Well, "Watchmen" had pretty wild costumes and still was a brilliant movie. But I admit I'm not too optimistic on this block of cheese.
  17. Enthusiasts who want to replicate the Orange Lion scheme on their model kit find detailed information on the Dutch solo team's website http://www.f16demoteam.nl/F16/control.php?&topgroupname=Downloads I also like the "Sound Barrier" version.
  18. Actually, I think the French national team wished they had a stealth transport at their disposal.
  19. From the August issue of Dengeki Hobby Magazine:
  20. EXO suit and dropship from Greg Broadmore's blog: And two nice Legos here and here
  21. I doubt that a replica of the power armour by Weta would be in the affordable price range, either. Here's more guns: http://www.wetanz.com/arc-generator-full-scale-replica/ Hi-rez pictures: and:
  22. Found another ad.
  23. It looks like you can geek out your 'hood with Prawn Gun Replicas soon:
  24. The show has a good mix of suspense, interesting characters, and good production values; and the metastory is always good for a surprise or two, and then some. I never felt betrayed by a cheap plot twist (helloo Flashback), and it's amazing to see how much gore they can put into a family programme today.
