Hilarious SW Ep III condensed script
Mr March replied to ComicKaze's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
OMG!!! This is so funny! I love it! BILLY DEE WILLIAMS I will now pull down my mask. This serves no actual purpose here in Jabba's palace, and I am doing it solely for the audience. How long have I been here anyway? Couldn't I just have shot JABBA by now? I must admit, I never thought of that one. Hahahaha. -

Hilarious SW Ep III condensed script

I loved the movie and got a big laugh out of the condensed script -
doh... maybe we got your hopes up too much... I really didn't think that was possible. I'm pretty confident in recommending this. Nah. I was somewhat more excited about this film than I should have been, but my enthusiasm has been going for a long time. Check out my posts in the first Batman threads and you'll see I'm quite charged even back then. In my opinion, this new Batman film was better than any of the other Batman movies, but it's still off from my ideal (which is a fairly unrealistic expectation of ANY film). Trsut me, it wasn't aynthing you guys did, you were just there to give a little push

Star Wars Episode 3 Spoilers Thread
Mr March replied to zeo-mare's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Nah, Lucas would never even hint to the slaughtering of children, he doesn't have the nuts anymore. Evil bsu! Bad bsu -
Saw the 9:45 showing last night and it was very good. It wasn't quite up to my level of enthusiasm and I know I overworked myself prior to release. However, the film fulfilled most of my hopes and was a genuinely great Batman flick. I'll write a complete review later and post it, but for now I just had to post that I liked it and would absolutely watch it again. The batmobile chase...my gawd did it rock. And Liam Neeson's character is about as far from his Star Wars/Kingdom of Heaven role as you can get. Watch the film and you'll know why. Oh yeah, and it's one of his better roles in the past few years.

I might go see the film tonight as well. All this talk of the film is driving me crazy! I must see it You gotta be crazy waiting this long.... lol... the only reason I want you guys to see it is so that we can start spilling the beans and actually talk about the movie. Should we start a spoiler thread for Batman? I'm actually holding back from seeing it again... I just saw it yesterday and it seems like it's been a long time already... I'm seeing it again for sure next week. That's it, I can't take it anymore. I'm going to watch it tonight, even though I'm gonna be dead for work tomorrow. To hell with it, it's Friday tomorrow, so I'll have the weekend to recover Damn you EXO!

I think I've actually been exposed to a few spoilers as a result of the many film reviews I've read. I think I know what you're talking about, but I won't embelish here. I'm definitely going to see this film this weekend. I'm very excited.

I'm not going to defend the film vehemently until I've actually seen it, but like ComicKaze has posted, Batman Begins doesn't follow the established franchise films prior to 2005. It is a reimagining, a reboot of the entire franchise; basically an attempt to make money again with a new creative vision, especially given the large number of other super hero films that are pulling in the cash.

I think after decades of similar material, most should know what to expect out of a film like Mr and Mrs. Smith. Personally, I go to these sorts of movies because I know exactly what to expect and when I'm not in the mood for mentally engaging, avant-garde film. It will have good action, good humor, a silly story, over-the-top lines/stunts, and a few weaknesses in the presentation. Like I said, it's the Lethal Weapon formula or the True Lies template, and I know what I'm getting when step in the theatre. It's just supposed to be a flawed but fun film.

The reviews are pretty solid so far, and one of my most trusted sources for reviews gave Batman Begins a very positive score. Check it out: Batman Begins reviewed at Filmcritic.com Box Office Mojo has given the film the most glowing review I've seen, more so than most other websites. I hope the film is worth such praise. Batman Begins reviewed at BoxOfficeMojo.com As for Liam Neeson, I think he's a very good actor and have enjoyed watching his performances in almost every film he's cast. Personally, I really don't care much for which role Neeson plays as long as I can see him act. With Liam, it's not about the work, not the work...it's the presentation

Yes, that alien was nicknamed "Chiggy Von Richtofen". That was a pair of good episodes. Well, one of my friends will probably pick up the set and I'll watch 'em again

Bacalao! Not a curse, but always funny...at least to me

Yes, but it's only the most insane and retarded player! ... But Gnakins? I'm pretty sure it was Jenkins... Ouch, that hurts. Never knew I came across as insane and retarded. But, whatever the mods prefer... Could be worse...you could like hot dogs.... Hehehe Getting hungry now...

That's encouraging. I have been reading plenty of positive response about the film. I was hoping Nolan would pull it off and I was confident in Bale's ability to handle a dark character with credibility. He is the american pyscho after all

Never liked the show, but the one episode I watched completely from beginning to end over at my freind's house was really good. It was this alien ace pilot that was wasting the humans and had this little message in english written on the side of his ship that read "Abandon all hope".

Waste of money as I expected. I'll be passing on this.

War Of The Worlds Trailer is OUT! Summer 2005!
Mr March replied to UN Spacy's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I simply cannot get over my predictions of failure for this picture. I am usually not this skeptical, especially for a Spielberg flick. I enjoy a lot of his work yet every new image and news item I read about this film does nothing to overcome this sense of disappointment growing inside me. I sure hope this is another "Jurassic Park" scenario, which is to say I hated the idea of the film and was dragged to the theatre kicking and screaming. In the end, I enjoyed it. I can only hope I'm mistaken about War of the Worlds. As for the media frenzy about Tom, I really don't care. Cruise is a freak for that silly star-religion scientology and I've always known he has been. He's also been an over-the-top personality and kinda goofy. Knowing that about him still does not harm my appreciation for Cruise as an actor. Hell, I adored Marlon Brando as an actor, but the guy was the most messed up human being I've ever read about in modern times. Besides, I tend to ignore most of what the media attempts to promote with their articles. It's more enjoyable to read between the lines and laugh at reporters that try to make a story out of "news' that you know is garbage. Or trying to make some big story out of some idot whose in love, like being an idot when you're in love is anything "new" to the average human being. -
It's brilliant, except for the slightly off-horizon legs/engines. I prefer the legs/engines to rest without a bend. But besides this very minor criticism, the model is a fine piece of work.

I'm not jumping to anyone's defense, but I feel that on one particular point Hurin is being blamed carte blanche for always needing to have the last word. Our disagreement in the Star Wars thread ended with my last post and Hurin did not respond just to have the last word. As far as I could tell, we ended our debate as neutral as possible.

I actually enjoyed Triptych more than Splendor Solis, so I consider the best three Party albums as: The Edges of Twilight (1995) Transmission (1997) Triptych (1999) I know a few of the later albums aren't looked upon too favorably by some of the Party community (especially the loud ones online...hehehe). I also know that a lot of Tea Heads resent Triptych because it brought the band such huge popularity in the mainstream and newer fans overlooked the brilliance of The Edges of Twilight. I have to say though, there are a few of my favorite Tea Party songs that come from the later albums. For example, "Angels" from The Interzone Mantras is in my top ten list of all time favorite Tea Party tunes. I know that Triptych often gets labelled as the mellow album of the Party collection. However, I was looking forward to the Party returning to some of the more melodic, morose tunes that made Splendor Solis such a trip. From 1993 onward, every album got progressively louder and harder until the band exploded on Transmission. I love my metal as much as the next fan, but it was good that they returned to a sound that embelished the other sides of the Tea Party voice.

I hope you're kidding about Quadrano. She left because she got caught in a lie. Weird. Didn't even notice she was gone.
