  1. well, is that why smoking and drinking are considered "mature" and "adult" behaviour compared to watching anime??? i guess they are since u have to be "old" enough to smoke and drink!!! still-watching-anime, wps
  2. it is the same problem with the Region 2 release in the UK? well, at least that edition has all the OVAs plus the Movie in it, unlike the Region 1 release which only have the OVAs. Manga should have rectified the problem before releasing the R1 edition. btw, the R2 was released about a year ago, and has the same subtitle-burnt-in for the Movie edition (which i suspect it is a direct VHS-to-DVD transfer). if u want to get the legitimate Movie edition, the only choice now seems to be the Japanese edition. darn! wps
  3. has anyone actually got the set by now???
  4. cool, might u be able to scan the instruction sheet for the Revell Tornado? thanks
  5. What happens to the orientation of the attached weapons when the wings on the VF-1 swings back and forth? Will the weapons counter swing also, so that they will always face the same forward direction no matter the wing position? If so, does Hasegawa kits have this feature? Thanks wps
  6. thanks for the replies. i know what to order now.
  7. slightly OT here, i notice that Hasegawa released both TV and DYRL? version of VF-1. i search the board, but none describe the difference between the TV and movie version, nor was there a sticky. i certainly cannot see any difference from the photos in HLJ. can someone enlighten a noob?? thanks!
  8. that's cool. even though i have been using credit cards to buy stuff off the net since 1997, DeepDiscountDVD.com could not process my order because they say Malaysia, where i reside, has high credit card fault rate. i even offered to pay by cheque, but still not acceptable! plain discrimination, i tell ya! to be fair, their responses are always fast and courteous, and they do have one of the highest discounts on DVD i have seen on the net. sometimes they offer 10% to 20% extra promotion discounts on top of their offer price. too bad i can't enjoy any of these. i have to resort to Amazon.com then.
  9. there is still no info being released by manga.com at the moment, but i believe the new OVA set will includes both the English and Japanese audio with better synchronization this time around. of course, assuming manga IS actually going to release it. hth, wps
  10. hi, 1st post here. it seems that Manga is going to finally release the (repackaged?) Macross Plus OVA 2-Disc set after all, and it seems to have a good chance of getting it out on schedule: http://www.deepdiscountdvd.com/dvd.cfm?itemID=ABD002006 http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detai...?v=glance&s=dvd hopefully they will release a remastered movie edition soon. hth, wps
