  1. That was me. And yes, that's the guy...er, thing
  2. That's pretty funny
  3. RIP Roy. I'll always remember your performances. "You're gonna need a bigger boat."
  4. "Jack Archer"? Oh my gawd.
  5. WOW! Very nice! I like the strong, almost blown-out lighting of this wallpaper. It really looks like a very bright day and the VF-0 matches perfectly with the bright background sky. I love this wallpaper. Great work! *click, save as...*
  6. Yes. URL has gone down because the contract expired. Hopefully a new one will be setup sooner rather than later.
  7. AFAIK, there are no official names for the Meltran ships, unlike their Zentradi counterparts. Where did you get the name Rin Nadow Lojm? That's doesn't sound like a canon name to me.
  8. There's so many egg heads in science fiction Exedol resembles any one of a hundred different creatures from the Grey Aliens of X-Files to "The Leader" from the Incredible Hulk.
  9. I must admit as cheesy and sort-of funny as this is, I am interested in each episode. I can't wait for the finale
  10. I like the smaller size of the toys/models/whatever shown. They'd make good transformables
  11. LOL It's a plausible connection at the least. Weirdness.
  12. Probably a contributing factor for why some of us have seen various videos online but many haven't, even those of us who are daily visitors. Navigating these threads is a bit daunting and problematic I think.
  13. I'm very curious about the articulation. I'll be waiting to see what these figures can do.
  14. I think Yamato ultimately deserves the criticism leveled against it. Not for all the minor QC issues like off-center skull insignia's, the odd bent antennae or other ridiculous complaints that MW has hit them with for years now. No, I think the benchmark was the VF-0 arm joint. That whole debacle was just inexcusable, IMO. I'm one of the fortunate ones that escaped that toy, but the way that situation was handled (or better to say "wasn't" handled) is just tragic. The failure rate was insane and nothing was done about it. That incident has turned me into a reaction buyer as far as Yamato is concerned. I'll never be there to purchase another of their products upon release, only after plenty of reviews are out and I've scoured the communities for buyer experiences.
  15. It's just okay. It's a bit too pop-ish for my tastes. Personally, I don't hear much in this song that is stylistically or compositionally new that I've not already heard from other artists as good or better. It sounds a lot like The Prodigy or The Chemical Brothers, but in a much more conventional pop sound. I suppose the novelty is they are Japanese.
  16. You mean like a Reguld? I suppose that's always possible, but I think that might be a stretch since the torso looks even smaller than it does on the original Q-Rau and the original Q-Rau didn't appear to have the room for a curled up Meltran. BUt I suppose anything is possible.
  17. I'm with Kurisama, this is new to me. I haven't seen any of the episode 2 footage. It's looks amazing. This series is going to be great
  18. Touching upon an issue raised by Sumdumgai, if the lower body of the giant-sized Meltran pilot does indeed slide into the lower portion of the Queadluun-Rau "backpack" section (as it does in the Yamato toy), I don't see how this new Q-Rau MF* can possibly fit a full-sized Meltran. The "backpack" section of the Q-Rau MF* does not fall below the hips of the battle suit and clearly couldn't hold the lower body of a giant sized Meltran. The two "cylinders" fit on the rear right missile launcher are likely additional vernier thrusters. They are probably also designed to add weight and offset the would-be mass imbalance caused the large cannon mounted off-center upon the rear left missile launcher. Which raises another question; why mount that big cannon off-center anyway? That top rear antenna could be relocated easy enough and the gap between the two engines would make an ideal slot for the cannon to rest. *shrugs* * temporary fan designation for the Macross Frontier version of the Q-Rau
  19. A Note About...Queadluun-Rau Battle Suits I'm really interested to know the size of these new Q-Rau battle suits. Specifically, I'd like to know if they really are still "battle suits" and not Valkyire/Destroid esque mecha now piloted by human-size Zentradi and human pilots. The changes in the design from the DYRL version seems to suggest they may be operated by human-sized pilots. I also wonder if most of the energy weapons have been removed. Unlike ballistic weapons in the Macross universe, most energy cannons do not require large, long barrels. There are exceptions of course, but I've noted most of the small to medium bore laser/converging energy cannons have small, short barrels. This may mean the arm guns have been changed from laser pulse guns to ballistic cannons.
  20. Fantastic side schematics. I'm going to save these babies.
  21. They look okay. I hope they improve the final model. They'd be worth buying, but I sure don't see sculpts that were supposed to be a step beyond the Revoltechs. The sculpts have as many lows as they have highs and I'd place them about equal with the VF-1 Revoltechs. The one thing the Yamato's do have going for them is the lack of visually jarring ball joints, but then again I'd be critical of the articulation that can be achieved with these toys compared to the Revoltechs. I'm also worried about the tightness of the joints over time, something that isn't a problem with the Revoltechs. Overall, passing grade. Not bad, but not amazing either.
  22. Welcome to MacrossWorld IAS I'd prefer it if no older characters were brought back for Macross Frontier. IMO, appearances by old characters were one of the factors that made the two Macross productions in which they were featured just that much weaker.
  23. And that's all correct, in as much as Kawamori and Co. care to account for continuity. We fans have to run the hurdles, but Kawamori and Co. get to do what they like, continuity be damned if they wish.
