The vf-x was technically not ever suppose to transform, so it was just a fighter I believe. So yes, the part goes on the bottom, with the head removed.

Got them off Amazon actually. I think I just searched for 1:18 display case. They are from sfDisplay and retail for $120.

I got that from Scale Solutions website down in Australia. A nice guy named Wayne makes the kit. I'm not sure he still sells that kit though.

If you have built the FM 1:72 kit then you belong to an exclusively COOL club sir! I really enjoyed building it! Took me 8 months for the model itself, and officially only lost 1 tiny part.....LOL...You? to XFJ-01A --- the Curio's are all by Polaski and were purchased on-line.

A few pics around the "toy room" as my gf calls it, while I try to re-arrange the Macross cabinet once again to make everything fit! ....I correct her by saying "the props and collectibles room dear"...

I took the plunge and sold off my 07 Z06 and my 128i and got into a new 2014 Lexus IS 350. I wanted a new 335i Msport but didn't wanna wait for it to be made and shipped from Germany. So I went with the Lexus. Not to mention it was 8K cheaper with more options on it. This is my first Lexus and I did my homework on it. So far I have mixed feelings about it. It's a good car, the Germans absolutely have a better chassis/brakes and suspension. The IS is a nice daily driver, and its very comfortable. The electronics have some bugs and there is an annoying rattle somewhere in the dash behind the nav screen, but other than that, it's just little nitpicks I have really. Gas mileage is waaaaay improved over my 128i and if you drive it in sport mode it is pretty good fun.

Thanks for all the compliments guys! I really wish the Oberth would have come out better. I had to end up brush painting all of the black details because no matter how much tackiness I took off the Tamiya tape it was a 50/50 crapshoot as to whether or not paint would peel off. So after I got the blue and white 95% good I decided to not mask anymore. I could have done a much better job if the resin had been right from the get go. Oh well!
