  1. Welcome to Macross collecting!! Where it's NOT just enough that the price of the toys..errr..collectibles WILL break you, it's also where you WILL eventually move into a larger apartment, OR go house hunting with the FIRST thing on your mind when you are looking at floorplans is.."which of these rooms will be for the toys..err..collectibles and is it large enough???!!!" ALSO -- you'll begin to want nice lighted cabinets to display your toys..err...collectibles, and keep the dust from settling on top of them...just wait! PRO TIP--- the answer is always NO..no matter how big it is.
  2. nuthin over here either.....
  3. Those look great Lolicon! Over here my mother in law found these glass display bases cleaning out her aunt's house for an estate sale and wondered if I wanted them... I immediately thought...Valk display! What do you guys think? I have 4 of them.. could make one detolf have just 4 of my most popular Valks...just messing around with it today... kinda limits you to one Valk per shelf though..

Gonna have to pass on the Ostrich...of course that's what I said about the ELINT too...
  7. Independently owned mall stores were the thing around Fort Worth back in the 80's. Kay Bee came along and bought a bunch of them out, but I DO remember seeing that Scott Cyclone and wanting it more than I wanted my next breath, but mom and dad never got it for me...
  8. I don't care----I'm totally watching this!!!
  9. and I'm just sittin over here like ........
  10. The Bandai DX Frontier Renewel VF-25's are the best game in town. They aren't as flawless as a Yamato/Arcadia offering might have been, but we'll probably never know. They get loose over time, but are FAR better than the version 1 Bandai offered up! AVOID those at all costs! They do look great on display with supers/armor/Tornado packs on etc., and they also aren't as damaging to the wallet (well...kinda) as Yamato/Arcadia's. As for the VF-171's well....that's a tougher question. There have been a lot of QC issues with those, a couple of the later releases were good to go, (Luca and the one with the girl on the back). Some people (including myself) want to send them into a wall every time I go to transform them. I highly suggest reading/watching ALL of Jenuis' reviews on the 25's and the 171's before you start spending $$$.
  11. nope!!! can never have to many guns on a battlestar! Looks like a crazy dreadnaught of some kind! Love it!
  12. Is that a Bandai Perfect Grade 1:72 Falcon I see hiding back there?
  13. well... I have the Xacto version of that, the one that came as a kit with a sanding block and some other stuff from when I was a teenager, but the grip doesn't hold the blade anymore. So I basically just have to hold the metal round part of the blade and saw.. and it's just to much work on large pieces of resin, I need a power tool.
  14. Are there more from Duck Tales?..didn’t see any, but didn’t look to hard...
  15. Anybody else grow up with Ducktales??!!! I found a review of this on Collection DX and couldn’t resist for $11 on Amazon. It’s a really cool little figure!
  16. This is really good advice. Thanks. I also need to find out what a Tamiya razor saw is apparently!
  17. I can't be an enabler on the 1:48 line, it's just to old and to big nowadays. I'd push him down the HM-R line rabbit hole...or he says he loves Frontier...hehehe...Bandai DX-25's/27's/29's are always fun! --and I just might have some going up for sale in the next few weeks!
  18. I don't even want to THINK what you paid for that ELINT Seeker! Congrats though! IMHO it's the pinnacle of the Yamato V2's. You are going to love it!
  19. Ohhhh dear....you're in REAL trouble now.... http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/forum/9-for-sale-amp-trade/
  20. and yes...you really should get a VF-OS, it is a remarkable toy even if you don't care for Zero -- which many of us don't. The HM-R line is a MUST for destriods and bad guys!!! Every Macross fan should have at least one HMR Monster and Glaug and Regults and and and and...
