So can anyone spoil the story? I heard it's an alternative sequel for part I, the main character is Shogo's son and both Shogo and Yui end up dead. BD appears again but his new voice isn't as cool as the original VA.

Adding Guin Saga to my watching list. The trailer looks awesome, Guin punches so hard it creates a forest fire. And...Sengoku Basara.

RA 3's Empire faction is a huge pay off to eastern (or moslty anime) pop culture. They have samurai with lightsaber, psychic school girl (Yuriko Omega), giant robo (King Oni), Valk (Jet Tengu)... and the Empire's supreme weapon is a big Samurai robot with 3 heads The expansion is gonna have a Samurai-ish upgrade for the King Oni and a spin-off campaign for Yuriko herself And Starcraft II has Valk too, they are called Vikings IIRC, and Destroid Monster-lookalike called Thor.

Hmm, after thinking about it, I think it's an in-joke of the show, Eclipse = Idol group Eclipse, a fictional band in the BASQUASH world, and they are going to perform the Opening theme of the show lol. Megumi Nakajima voices Citron, a member of the band, that's why she has a part in the theme song performance. If all this speculation are true, it would be pretty damn sweet! Also, the Legend of BASQUASH Special Program is going to air today, hope someone will get the RAW, can't wait to see what SK has to say about this new series. Edit: Found a new 30s CM in nico, uploaded to youtube...

I just found out a lot Frontier's previous VA have roles in BASQUASH too, including the Frontier's main cast: Yuuichi Nakamura (Alto Saotome) voices Iceman Hotty. Aya Endo (Sheryl Nome talking voice) voices Spanky, the pet. Megumi Nakajima (Ranka Lee) voices Citron, one member of the Idol Group. Don't worry dude, I don't know about Viper's Creed, but it would be pretty likely that MADHOUSE will make a second season for Rideback, so just hold your sit tight.

Well, ANN lists the max number of episodes for Viper's Creed is 12. Same for Rideback.

More stuffs concerning the show: It seems like the new Mazinger series is influenced heavily by the Super Robot Wars franchise. Tis is always a good thing for me, considering SRW is what keeping Mazinger alive and well-known after all these years, and I'm a big fan of both franchise. No argument on this, considering E7's lovely theme, awesome music, an interesting cast of characters (not so good villain though, seriously, Dewey is just some loser I don't really care about) and last but not least, great mecha action (Nivrash, how I love thy, you too, Devilfish). But come to think of it, I wonder if any Macross past-SDFM are really successors to Macross. Macross Plus, Macross 7, Macross Zero and Macross Frontier are so different compared the original to the point that I think they will work even without the title "Macross". Oh well, there's still stuff that isn't Macross, but feel so Macross-y (variable mechs, nice music, love theme) like Megazone 23, Genesis of Aquarion, E7 ...

Saw the trailer in the Current Anime thread. I'm both interested and disturbed at the same time by viewing it, gonna give it a watch sooner or later though.

This is a shame really, considering how awesome the VF-XX looks. The Metal Siren design is quite great too. Too bad, Macross II wasn't popular enough to warrant out some other OVAs to flesh out the MII's universe, and of course, to give the MII's Valks more screentime.

I understand, but damn, I do give a damn about hi-def mecha pr0n (considering that's the only stuff that kept me watching Gundam 0083 till the end, the cast is sooo boring, it hurts), so yeah, I say he should give it a rewatch, maybe this time he will appreciate it more (and be able to relate to some characters who he found to be uninteresting in his first viewing). I'm going to rewatch Frontier as soon as the BD releases are completed too, since next season has only like 2, 3 news shows I really care about.

Eh, I think you should wait till the BD releases are completed, buy them and watch it again, Renato, because no matter how you say it, viewing Frontier on a crappy small screen TV is really a boner killer.
