  1. I wonder how many RX-78 toys and models there have been over the years. A whole sh*t load, that's for certain. Thing is, I've never been able to understand why such an ugly mecha (IMO) is so damn popular? I can understand why the anime was popular, first of it's kind and all that, but IMO even for the 1970s the RX-78 is one ugly, bland and boring mecha design. Graham
  2. As I've said before, I think Bandai should have made the official R1 English dub a comedy. They should have hired Carson Kressley and Ted Allen from Queer Eye for the Straight Guy to do the voices of Rei and the commanding officer and played them as being really camp. That would have been so funny IMO Graham
  3. Yawn, like we really need yet another gundam toy line Now if only Bandai would put the same amount of effort into Macross toys Graham

    rumor or True Q-Rau 1/48

AFAIK, there are absolutely no plans at all for a 1/48 Q-Rau. Graham
  5. The head lasers are supposed to be blue. Graham
  6. Last time I was in the CTMA center in Mong Kok, one of the small toy shops there on the 1/F or 2/F was selling the 'Macres' bootleg toy. I don't remember the price though. Graham
  7. what do you do outside of running of this site? i'm from Toronto. Go Leafs. You think I have time to do anything else? Graham
  8. would u by any chance have a wife named jane? Nope. Graham
  9. A few shops in Hong Kong used to sell copies of the poster. Not sure if it's still available as I haven't checked for a while. Perhaps Neova might know, try PMing him. Graham
  10. Originally from UK, but have resided in HK for the past 16 years. Graham
  11. I specialise in custom work on Banprestos and do house calls. I'll even bring my own drill, hammer, chainsaw and shotgun! Graham
  12. Shawn pays for the site not me, so any donations should go to him. Not sure if he wants to accept donations or not though. I'm always willing to accept money for the 'beer and pizza for Graham' fund tho Graham
  13. Physioguy, could you take a few more larger pics (between 600 pixels to 1,000 pixels wide maximum) for the MW Custom Toy Gallery? Graham
  14. Here's the scan of the line-art pic of the FAST packs. The book seems to mention that they are for the VF-1. Perhaps somebody can translate. Also, IIRC the FAST packs shown on the VF-19 in the opening movie of VF-X seem to have thrust vectoring flaps. Graham
  15. Keep this on topic please. This topic is supposed to be about cool Valk poses and this is the MACROSS toy forum. If it becomes a Transformer topic, it will be locked. Graham
  16. Still waiting for news of a grey GFF Z-Plus, no news yet at all I've sort of gone off the blue and red GFF Z-Plus color schemes, too candy-cane-ish. When (or if) a grey one is released, the blue and red will be retired from my display cabinet. And about which is better, the GFF or MG, I'd say go with the GFF. More option parts so you can make more modes, and the MG has a very badly designed hip joint clasp. Graham
  17. What's this about phases, turns and times? I don't have a manual. Graham
  18. Erm....(raises hand), damn it I know, but not sure if I'm allowed to tell or not. This is frustrating sometimes. Graham
  19. Lonely Soldier Boy, I keep meaning to ask you, is your avatar supposed to be an elephant wearing powered armor? Graham
  20. I just checked and my review of the Bandai 1/55 VF-1J Hikaru re-issue was published on Macrossworld on December 30th 2001. Graham
  21. Nope, Yamato don't talk to me much (or at all?) any more. Graham
  22. Unfortunately, Noel was not able to get to Japan in time for TAF 2004 Graham
  23. Damn, been searching the internet high and low and it seems like nobody took any toy pics at TAF 2004 Graham
  24. Heh, if Microsoft pays me $149.99 to take an X-Box, I might just consider it. The only way I would ever consider buying one is if there was a Japanese Macross game made for the system, that was not available for the PS2. As all the games I like (Macross., Ace Combat series & Armored Core Series are on the PS2, I think I'll stick with my PS2). Graham , who bought his SS, PS, DC & PS2 purely for the purpose of playing Macross games
  25. As this is not a pure Macross topic, i.e. it discusses many other types of toys it belongs in the 'Other Anime & Sci Fi' forum. Graham
