Nope, not posted before. Nice, but I was sort of hoping for a lot more tampo printed markings. As nice as this looks & as much as I like the Impulse Gundam design, I'm going to have to think carefully about whether or not I really want this, as I already have the Force Impulse MSiA and MMM GQ versions. With the Cosmic Region and HCM Pro Force Impulse toys both coming in March, that makes 4 different scale of Force Impulse toy so far. Can anybody say overkill? Graham
-
It's a pretty good MSiA. I bought one when it first came out back in I think November last year. No major complaints with it. The is some slight warping on the shoulder cannons, but thats the only problem. If you like the Savior, it is worth buying the MSiA. Graham

It's custom. Graham

Can I add this to the MW Custom Toy Gallery? Graham
-
Yup, Yamato have already displayed their Bubble Gum Crisis figures at several hobby shows already. Most of us have seen the pics already as they have been posted on this site and others. I don't think a firm release date has been announced yet though. Graham

Just picked up the MMM GQ Sword Impulse. Haven't had time to take it out of the box yet though. Will do a mini-review later. Looks sweet in the box though. Graham

The YF-19 was the first Macross Plus toy that Yamato released, followed by the YF-21. The VF-11B was the third Macross Plus toy they released. Personallly, I prefer the FP version of the VF-11B, mainly for the nicely sculpted pilot figure. I definitely prefer the color of the gunpod on the original release though. Graham
-
Yep, the VF-11B FP version has improved hip joints, reinforced with metal pins. Very sturdy now. Read my review. Graham

Carl Hoff has one. He paid something like three million bucks for it, so for that price it better come with a sticker sheet . But seriously, I've no idea whether it comes with a sticker sheet or not. Perhaps Carl will see this thread and respond. Carl's Gakken Tread Page. Graham

I posted a magazine scan of the unpainted Cosmic Region Force Impuse sculpt a couple of pages back (page 69 to be exact). Graham

The box really comes with a 'FRAGILE' label on it? Oh, Toynami, that's so funny! Graham

Guys, The MW Custom Toy Gallery will be getting an update soon. However, I need to know what's missing. If you have posted a custom in the toy forums within the last 6 months (since I stopped updating) and it is not yet in the custom toy gallery and you would like it to be featured in the gallery, can you please post a link to the thread where you posted the pics, or PM me and I can give you an email where you can send the pics. I think I only missed about half a dozen customs in the last 6 months, so it shouldn't take too long to get the updates done. Thanks, Graham
-
Ha Ha, what bad luck. The first time in 6 months that I find myself with some free time to update the site and actually have the intention to do it and I can't access the server over the weekend . Oh well, guess you guys are just going to have to wait a bit longer for the update. Checks schedule, yep looks like I'll have some more free time in about another 6 months . Nah, just kidding, got a load of scanning done at the weekend to update the magazine section and with the help of our new co-admin, the updates should be done fairly soon. Graham

Nah, I still say it's budget. If they really wanted to they could still do Space Marines running around Mars, with cool sci-fi guns and chainsaw and reduce the gore level to make it suitable for the younger audiences, but instead we're gonna be getting SWAT type guys, no doubt armed with the ubiquitious MP5s, M4s or G36s in a modern day setting. New Gundam FIX and ZEONOGRAPHY on the way...

Spotted the Zeta GFF in a few shops here in HK today. Graham -
Gall Force mecha, ships and artbooks?
Graham replied to Tekkaman Blade's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
These are the Artmmic Entertainment Bibles. They have lots of mecha and starship lineart. Graham -
Bah humbug, still can't find the MMM Sword Impulse. Either it sold out really quickly at the weeekend or it hasn't hit the shops yet, despite being seen selling by HK sellers on ebay. Oh well, my regular shop is suposed to call me when it comes in. Just hope they remember. Graham
-
Yeah, I just fail to understand why using hell in the movie would be considered a touchy subject? More likely their budget is too small and they can't afford the effects . Graham

Gall Force mecha, ships and artbooks?
Graham replied to Tekkaman Blade's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Not sure if there are any dedicated Gal Force art books, although I suspect there must be. I have the Artmic Entertainment Bible, wich has lots of Gal Force line art along lineart of other Artmic stuff like Mospeada, Madox & Bubblegum Crisis. I also have another artic book which has lots of line art and merchandise info for the various Artmic shows. I'll try to post scans of the covers tonight. As these are all old books from the 1980s and long out of print, your best bet is probably to ask Seichi to help you find them in Japan. Graham -
Lots of interesting Destinty toy news on Gunota. Confirmation that a Windam and Dark Dagger L MSiA are coming and also that the second Cosmic Region figure will be Freedom.' Graham

Just started watching this as a lot of people seem to think its pretty good, but to be honest so far I'm pretty underwhelmed. I'm up to episode 5 so far and I'm just left feeling that this is a pretty average (i.e. forgettable) action comedy anime, with nothing really outstanding about it. What's the big deal, I don't get it? Graham
-
I got this one too, very pleased with it. Graham

The Official Yamato VB-6 Monster Thread
Graham replied to Montarvillois's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
Montarvillois, just to clarify about your signature, does it mean (a) you are a fan of big robots, or (b) a fan of robots with big asses? Sorry, just had to ask Graham -
Starts off mildly amusing, but my attention started wandering after a few paragraphs and I couldn't be assed to read the whole thing. Too bloody long and meandering. Graham

This may be going beyond the scope of the thread (or even board), but out of curiosity, how much separation is there between the two these days? A lot. Hong Kong has its only law enforcement agencies, which are completely separate from those in mainland China. HK's laws are also still mostly based on British commn law as well. Graham
