Thought it was great how the VB-6 took several hits in Shuttle mode, but just shrugged them off. Graham -

Random musings on episode 7. I watched the raw of episode 7, 4 times over the weekend, plus spent lots of time viewing the various action scenes in slow motion. I gotta say, “Wow!” what an episode. Absolutely outstanding action and animation. The story gets carried forward nicely with more twists and questions. I can’t believe 4 people voted negative in the polls. Well, if this episode doesn’t impress them, nothing will. Glad to see the regular animation studio (Nara?) back on character art duties. Heh, I noticed that the electrical arcing is back again during some of the VF-25 transformation sequences (Mikhail’s VF-25). I’m really loving the ultra-fast transformation capability of the VF-25. Loved seeing Alto sneaking around in Battroid inside the Vajra Carrier. That was a really tense fight he had against the 2 yellow Vajra inside the carrier. Brilliantly animated and choreographed. Bobby was awesome, as was the Macross Quarter. Ozma also kicked some serious ass. As others have mentioned, it was nice to see the beam guns in action on Ozma’s armoured VF-25 and also Alto using the wing root beam guns to blast into the Vajra carrier. I really want to see some line art of those new Destroids. Definitely a strong Cheyenne resemblance there. Cheyenne II perhaps? The only minor complaint I have about this episode is that Sheryl’s face really didn’t look like Sheryl when she was doing the last song, wearing the red dress with black (dark blue?) hair. I’m guessing this was supposed to be some sort of Minmay look? Perhaps her face was also altered by hologram technology for this song. Hope we don’t have to wait too long before the next action episode. My favorite non-mecha shot from the episode below. Graham -

I don't know for sure if it is subbed, as I am still downloading it. Go to the Tokyoshoto site and enter 'Macross Fronter 07' in the search box. It comes up as the first item in the search results. And it has an "English" icon next to it, instead of a "Raw" icon. Graham -

I noticed that Grace also has a weird pattern on her eyes. Perhaps something to do with her cybernetic implants. Or maybe, it's jsut the animators drwing her pupils in a stylized way. Graham -

Yep, the VF-25 has two wing root beam guns and if you slow the video down, you can see Alto using them when he blasts his into the hull of the Vajra carrier. Graham -
Renato, can you do a scan of the cover please, so I know what to look for. I've neaver heard of this magazione before, but want to try to find a copy. Graham

Judging from the price point, it's likely that these will be be HG tech rather than MG tech. Hopefully in about 3-4 years, Hasegaw will get a shot at the licence. A Hasegawa VF-15 Fighter and Battroid would be a thing of awesome beauty. Graham -

anbody know if any of the raws have the eyecatch yet? I'm not sure if I trust the Compendium 100% anymore, now that it's gone Wiki. GRaham -
I'd love a closer look at the Kawamori line art of various parts of the VF-25 that you can see in some of the photos. Graham

As much as I'd love to see Yamato have a shot at the 1/60 toys, cus' we know the detail would be good, and they would make all variations. I'm pretty confident that Bandai will do a pretty good job with their 1/60. Just hope they release more than the Aolto and Ozma versions though. I wouldn't worry too much about the 1/60 Bandai DX battroid photo shown. It's probably of a very early concept model and I bet the oddly shaped groin will be changed for the final version. Graham

People are throwing the term "Master Grade" around, but is there any confirmation that this is indeed an MG kit? Graham

As somebody else suggested earlier, the ring is probably some sort of implant control, like Grace's pendant. As to what he was doing with it......hmmmmm? Graham -

I think SMS was hired by the manufacturer of the VF-25 (L.A.I.?) to test their latest product, i.e. the VF-25. The VF-27 is most likely from another manufacturer. Graham -

I think it's been mentioned that the VF-25 was developed by L.A.I. (whatever that is). Graham -

I think the Vajra have either captured or destroyed the main Galaxy colony ship. In the Gattai sub of episode # 6 at 09.20, you see the recording of the transmission from the Galaxy captain(?) and in the Gattai sub he says: "The damn bugs have taken Mainland! Please! Someone!" At first I thought this was a translation error by Gattai, as they are AFAIK, the only fansub group to use the word "Mainland" in this scene, but then I listened closely, just concentrating on what the character is saying and he clearly says "Mainland" in English. I'm guessing that Mainland is the name of the main colny ship in the Galaxy fleet. Graham -

I really hope we are going to see some VF-171 action at some point, but I have a nasty feeling we may not. Probably a budget thing. Sucks, cus' with no air time, the chances of seeing a VF-171 toy diminish. Heck, even the cannon fodder VF-11C got much more screen time in Macross 7. Graham -

She has breasts, they're just small. Haven't watched the raw yet, but from that screen cap, the Destroid looks similar to Zero's Cheyenne. Graham -
