  1. A lot depends on how many changes the licensor requests during development. This can really effect release time. Graham
  2. Nobody knows yet when they are coming out, or how much they will cost. The only thing we know is that the little SD gashapons will be released in August! Heck if it's taking them til' August to release some thing as simple as a non-articulated SD gashapon, who knows how long it will take them to release a complex transforming toy? As a comparison, it usually takes Yamato 1 year to get a transforming VF toy to market from start of design to eventual release. Graham
  3. IMO, not just Ranka and Sheryl were badly drawn, but also Alto in every scene and Luca, Mikhael and the entire Macross Quarter bridge crew all looked terrible. Just to clarify, I'm talking about their faces mostly. Although some of the clothing was poorly drawn as well. I've been a huge fan of this show so far. In my eyes it can do no wrong up to episode 5, but the charcter animation is just inexcusable in episode 6 IMO. I thought some of you guys were exaggerating when I first read the negative comments about the charcter animation in this ep, but, IMO it really is bad, bad, bad. Graham
  4. OK, after watching the episode, I gotta agree with the majority and say the character animation absolutely sucked sweaty donkey balls in this episode. It was such a noticable drop in quality that it was jarring. Like the bad old days of Anime Fiend IMO. I've been extremly impressed with the character animation in eps # 1-5, so the character animation in this episode was a huge disappointment for me. 'Shockingly bad' is the term that springs to mind. I really hope, that Big West drop this animation studio, as they just can't hack it. If they carry on using this studio, I'll probably cancel my plan to buy the DVDs. Definitely my least favorite episode so far. Maybe, I'll enjoy it slightly more when we get a subbed version. Roll on next week when we get back to the action. Two episodes of character development in a row is enough. I need to see some big stompy robots killing lobsters again. Graham
  5. Perhaps each fold booster is still only one way use like in Macross Plus, so the VF-171s launched with 2, so they could do a recon of the area and then fold back to report. Graham
  6. Perhaps some sort of microwave. Maybe what the full size Zentradi use to nuke their TV dinners.......LOL! Lobster for dinner anyone? Graham
  7. LOL..........well, when you put it that way! Graham
  8. Done and done. Already got the two CD singles released so far and have the R2 DVDs and OST-1 CD on preorder. Graham
  9. The YF-21, Focker VF-1S, VF-9 Cutlass + 1 mystery chase are series 2. IIRC correctly series 3 will include the VF-5000. can't remember what else though. Graham
  10. Is the animation quality for this episode really that bad, or are you guys just being too picky? Graham
  11. The VF-25. The main mecha in the show. The one that Ozma, Alto, Mikhail, & Luca fly. Graham
  12. Agree about the detail. Unfortunately, with the Fix Figuration, the joints tend to get lose over time, many parts, especially guns often come warped and the armor pieces never really attach firmly enogh. I retired all my Sentinel GFF a few years ago. Just say NO to PVC toys! Graham
  13. Won't be able to watch this for another 15 hours or so. So was there any action in this episode at all, or was it all character development stuff again? And do we finally get to see the 171 in battroid mode? Graham
  14. Getting a 404 error on your links Kresphy. Graham
  15. Gah, can't believe we got beaten by Gogo 13, that show is terrible IMO. Graham
  16. Which begs the question, what were NUNS using prior to 2058, the VF-11, VF-19, VF-22 or something else? I'd love to know and hope we find out. Graham
  17. Hey, I resemble that remark! Graham
  18. Heh, Kawamori can really spread his little finger. Graham
  19. But the spolier rule only applies for 24 hours after the episode aired. It's already nearly a week since it aired, so you don't need to bother with spoiler tags or putting your text in white......really! Graham
  20. Actually, according to the official data released so far, a VF-25 fitted with Armoured Pack is only as fast as a bare VF-25 with no pack. The extra thrusters only compensate for the extra weight, but don't actually increase the speed any. The VF-25 with Super Pack fitted is faster, which explains why in episode 1/Deculture Edition Gilliam was able to reach Island 1 before Ozma. Graham
  21. He also did the SV-51 in lego and the VF-17. Probably others as well, but those are the ones I've seen. Graham
  22. From what I understand, the VF-25 CG model transforms without any anime magic, so no magically shrinking parts or changes in proportions occur with the design. Graham
  23. Definitely beats the VF-9 'let's fold them over the chest' as well. Graham
  24. Definitely more solid. Super tight joints everywhere. Too early to say if they will loosen over time. And it locks together in fighter mode even better than the 1/48. It's one of those rare toys that feels 'just right' in your hand. Graham
