Still no news about shipment of my VF-25F super parts. I guess a lot of companies may ship them out late because of the Golden Week holiday. Never a huge fan of the VF-25G, so not going to play the preorder game. If I see one in a shop for a reasonable price (ha ha ha), I may pick one up. If not, no big loss. Graham

Would like the next project to be a Gundam Sentinel OVA. Never liked the silly looking (IMO) pirate styled Gundams in Crossbone. Graham

Anybody received any payment request or shipping notification for the Super Parts yet? Haha, it's been so long since I pre-ordered, I forgot which company I ordered from. Gotta dig through my email. Graham

I have many fond memories of flying in and out of Kai Tak. First time was in 76, when I was just a wee lad. Graham

Hot Toys Metal Gear - Naked Snake and Boss
Graham replied to macrossnake's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
And is The Boss' male or female? Kinda difficult to tell from the figure. It's either an effeminate looking guy with really well developed pecs, or a really butch looking woman.....not sure. Don't shoot me, I only ever played 1 MSG game on the Playstation 1 years and years ago, so know very little about MSG. Graham -
Hot Toys Metal Gear - Naked Snake and Boss
Graham replied to macrossnake's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Why is he called 'Naked Snake', when he's very obviously wearing clothes? Graham -
I've said it before and I'll say it again, no remakes, no live action adaptations either. Let's see some new Macross anime please. Graham
-
Right, so let's just sell it in one place only, spend zero on advertising and then be surprised when it doesn't sell well........duh! Obviously, high IQs, or any knowledge or experience in marketing is not a requirement for working at Deagostini. Of course the bright spark who decided to make it mostly reprint material only a couple of years after the last run finished is also to blame. While it may have worked for Eva and Gunam, Macross is not those shows. Graham

They should print all the planned new material in one book. I'd buy it for sure, and I bet 90% of people who collected Macross Chronicles would by it as well. This whole let's just print and sell a small quantity in Hiroshima to test the market, seems to be really badly thought out idea. And yes, even though it is the 30th anniversary, it is still too damn soon to reprint all the old material again! Graham

Pet peeve with modern movies, why are drones shown flying way faster than they actual can? Just sat through the start of the Keanu Reeves remake movie, 'The Day The Earth Stood Still' and they had Predator or Reaper style drones flying at supersonic speed and then firing Sidewinders at a ground target.......LOL. Not the first movie I've seen that has drones flying way faster than they actually do. Graham

It's supposed to be 20 of them. What a find! Graham

So do any characters in the movie actually say "You sank my Battleship"? If not, it aint even worth a rental. Graham

Correct, I don't even have a current generation console. My last console was a PS2 (which now mostly just sits gathering dust). In the 8 years since me son was born, I just don't have the time or energy for console games anymore. All my gaming these days is mobile gaming and occasionally PSP, while on the long commute to and from work. Graham

Sky Crawlers is worth checking out. Very thought provoking, but a bit depressing (kinda like Jinroh in that way). Definitely worth watching at least twice, as you pick up more on the second viewing. Graham

It means that graphically and gameplay-wise, it looks like an iPhone or Android game, not something you expect to see on a current gen console like the X-Box 360, where everything is pretty, pretty graphics and movie style cut scenes ala Mass Effect 3 etc. Simple is good, but i'ts not often you see something like this on consoles (not that I monitor the console scene too closely). These days, I'm only into casual gaming on smartphones, which is why when I saw the vid I thought it was a smartphone game. Graham

The YF-23 is such a beautiful looking plane. Side by side the YF-22 looks really ugly IMO. The wrong plane definitely won. Graham

Second thoughts, just rewatching Macross 7 for the 6th or is it 7th time and it is perfect, I would not remake it. Graham And let's not forget Sheryl in the school shower, staring at and complemently Nanase on her breasts Graham
-
Yes, but Frontier did have Sheryl getting off in a locker with her vibrating phone and Alto Graham
-
I only watched about 2 minutes of the video, but I really thought this was a smartphone game from the video. Really doesn't look like an X-box 360 game. Graham

While I'd love to see the 1:1 VF-25F, I have absolutely no interest in seeing a Macross Musical or a Miss Macross contest. For those who are interested, good for you. Somebody wake me up when they announce a new Macross anime. Graham

Android or iOS? Graham

I think sales would have been far better if this was a sequel or continuation of Macross Chronicle, with 100% new material and not mostly reprint. Did they honestly think the majority of Macross fans who had already bought Chronicle, where going to shell out for a slighly improved version of the same thing all over again? Graham
