  3. Sounds like Space Truckers, but that had Dennis Hopper not Dennis Quaid
  4. According to Wave's site it looks like Minmay is due out in March. http://www.hobby-wave.com/LINE_UP/kanseihi...nmay/index.html and Mylene in April. http://www.hobby-wave.com/LINE_UP/kanseihi...lene/index.html

  11. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yiWdd03paDc About 30 seconds in, looks like it's red on red to me.
  12. Yamato has them up on their site. They're listed for release in november. Same price as the Gamlin vf-22 and once again no stand included. Really upset that the difference in price between the yf-21 and vf-22 seems to come from the lack of accessories included and not because they're reusing a pre-existing mold. Not so upset that I won't be buying them just upset enough to be vocal about it. http://www.yamato-toys.com/items/detail.php?gid=1485 http://www.yamato-toys.com/items/detail.php?gid=1486
  13. At 1/100 scale I can live with the hands needing to be removed rather than stored in the arms. And I've always felt the head was in the realm of anime magic as far as fighter mode goes. It just doesn't seem like there is enough room to store it internally unless you give it a tiny out of proportion pinhead or make the whole thing too wide, like the old bandai fire valk.
  14. Chie Kajiura's second album, confusion, is even better than loophole. I picked it up on amazon.co.jp for something like $50 a year ago and don't feel one bit like I overpaid. Absolutely phenomenal album.
  15. In the game when a battlemech is totaled it doesn't set off an explosion like in the trailer the engine immediately shuts down so ejecting from a totaled unit isn't really a problem. There is an optional rule somewhere that let's you roll to see if a destroyed unit does go nuclear as well as rules for purposely lighting off you fusion engine. The explosion causes damage based on the units engine rating and lesser damage to the surrounding hexes. If i remember properly an ejecting pilot lands in the hex immediately behind the mech. If the mech did go nuclear the pilot would be boned.
  16. looks like HG finally got a look at the previews for the new mechwarrior game. http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/102/1021437p1.html
  17. I used to turn my ps1 upside down while it was running all the time. It was the easiest way to stop fmv and audio skipping
  18. actually the new mechwarrior isn't being handled by catalyst game labs at all. the company handling it is smith & tinker, a company founded by one of the founders of fasa Jordan Weissman. the two companies have nothing to do with each other. catalyst has liscensed the rights from the owners of the tabletop Topps, while smith and tinker liscenses the right from the owner of the videogame rights microsoft and the two operate independent of one another. as far as the new mechwarrior goes there is a good chance that weissman knew the specifics of the HG v. fasa court case and wouldn't have allowed anything to be done that would have gotten them in a situation similar to the one catalyst placed themselves in.
  19. actually that's a hammerhands. this is the reseen warhammer
  20. i gave up on doing armored fighter mode for the same reason and proceeded to battroid. took the armor off after that and forced the peg through the hole. it put up a lot resistance the first time but goes through a little more easily now.
  21. you mean announcing the use of these designs to sell a product doesn't count as merchandising. isn't that the definition of merchandising?
  22. i don't think HG is solely to blame. i had assumed that they had licensed the rights to use these images from HG. Apparently the good people at Catalyst were unaware that there is some US company that holds the sole rights to macross outside of japan and decided that they could sell a product using these images.
  23. damage from dfa is 3 times 1/10 attacker weight so max damage is 30(3 * 10 for a hundred tonner). damage is divided into 5 point groups so crushing the head out right would usually require 3 five point groupings to strike the head(max head armor 9pts + 3pts internal structure). even 2 hits going to the head would only cause a roll on the critical hit table. it's not really likely that you would ever crush the head.
