Deadpool, on DVD/Blu-Ray May 10, 2016
Duke Togo replied to miles316's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Ok, I do have one complaint about this movie: they used way too much footage marketing it. They showed us too much prior to release trying to prove it was what it should be (and, man, it's exactly what it should be). -

Epic. Everything you could want out of this movie. Loved it! -
This is the same movie project that's been in development for 7 years. It's just on its third creative team.

While we're in the subject, where does the group stand on buttons and dials? While I certainly use my touch screen, I prefer the buttons and dials. They allow me to do things without taking my eyes off the road.

No, I fully reject this explanation to allow them to retcon a bunch of semi-trained Jedi into the story. it's ridiculous, and does nothing but undermine the OT. It's a kid's show that plays fast and loose with the continuity, and that's it.

General TV & Streaming series thread

Yeah, that was a good one. Even if I haven't had pizza rolls in 20 years. -
While I agree with this, I listen to way too many podcasts and baseball games/talk to invest in a superior sound solution. I drive a 2012 right now; I feel like that ship has sailed at this point.

I expect that Damon and Greengrass will bring a certain quality to this sequel. Let's see if they can live up to the promise.

It's hard not to see Rebels as Clone Wars-light. Disney knew how unpopular the prequels were, but saw the potential in what the creative forces behind the Clone Wars were bringing fans. So hey, here's a series from the same team in the OT timeline... and it's nowhere near as interesting or good. I expect this to all be hand-waved away as a non-canon kids' show in the next few years. It's about as nonsensical as The Force Unleashed and its sequel being canon for a brief stint.

Clone Wars was really hit or miss with me, but man, when it hit it hit hard. Rebels, not so much. It feels like lukewarm retcon to me.

Question: would we all be watching this show if it wasn't Star Wars?

I chose to live with the Bose. I don't love it, but I'm not motivated enough to spend the money to have it replaced.
-
Ok, but they put in a Bose of all things.
-
Why the hell would you put a Bose sound system in a Ferrari? My car has Bose, and it's not really impressive. Bose in general is pretty lackluster.

I dunno, man, Eddie Fisher had a decent set of ears on him. Could totally be hereditary.

What you are going for is sarcasm, but I don't think you hit that either. And that's a piss-poor definition of facetious (not your fault; just saying).

/Film is reporting Grand Admiral Thrawn will be coming to Rebels in season 3, thus finally making him canon.

When I was younger I assumed the Clone Wars revolved around something like clone slavery and/or clone rebellion. Perhaps even an American Civil War scenario.
