Nothing really amazing at their booth. People were buying the 1/100 Hikaru exclusives but the majority of their Robotech stuff were mugs, mouse pads, caps, and dvds. I picked up the AnimEgo SDF: Macross set for only $40 which was a great deal. But they didn't have a set of the Robotech Protoculture edition only the first plain run of the Robotech series.

Um, anyone notice is they went to Anime Expo how there was no prototype of the Beta shown anymore? The only thing Robotech/Macross related were the 1/100 scale figures. I did see that I never saw on posts that the FAST packs are sold separately.

If you take the Superman Returns movie for what it is, a summer blockbuster + comic book movie and not expecting The Godfather, the it's a really good movie. As they say it's ties into the first two Superman movies which I liked and it treats him as a SUPER hero, not a grim & girtty hero. He's an iconic character so there's not too many places you can update or change him too much without him being Superman anymore. It's not a slam-bam action fest, the tone is more in line with the first Superman movie. For those who say it's too much a homeage to the first two films, well it is a sequel in sorts to those films. I do hope they brign in a super-powered villain for the sequel, only so much you can do with Luthor. Maybe that's the set-up with the missing crystals at the end of the movie. My only gripe is the SPOILER**Super-Kid?? Wonder if this will pay off with him replacing Brandon after a couple sequels. 4 outta 5 stars. Will definitely get this on DVD.

Vermillion, I have the knock-offs of Devastator, Bruticus, Superion, Protectobots, Abominus, etc. and they're good enough if you just want to display them. They are FRAGILE though, I was trying to put one of the legs on Bruticus and it didn't fit on properly and the peg broke off, ended up just taping the leg on with scotch tape on the back to keep it in place. The positive, it's cheap and they're pretty much the same size. The bad, breaks easily and some tend to tip over. But I'm not paying authentic G1 prices!

Oh snap, I was able to pick up the entire Harmony Gold boxed version of the Animego Macross set for $40 total at Anime Expo on Saturday. Double snaps.

Voted for the SV-51 as well, the VF-0S needs an enemy and besidez the QRau there's nothing else in the game. Plus Yamato can laways milk it for at least two color configurations...come on I'd buy 2!

So since the 1/60 is coming out I would be more than happy to buy anyone's 1/72 YF-19 for the amazing price of $20 since it will become obsolete shortly.

I just haven't been seeing any quality Macross cels anymore. I know some dud went around purchasing some from some online cel stores since I don't see Macross cels around as much.

Just saw this and I so agree with UPS sucking the most. I ordered an item via eBay from the East Coast and thank god I received on-line tracking since the driver never left a notice on my door that they were going to leave the package at my apartment rental office. Even USPS and DHL always leave notices for me. UPS just smashes boxes and such, everytime I see them drop off a package from a relative's house it's always messed up. When I get Fed Ex deliveries their drivers always seem to not find residential or business addresses. So far I've only had good dealings with my local USPS deliveries.

BAM, thread resurrection time. Mac+ cels of the YF-19, been eyeing these cels for the longest time and ended up getting them. Also a Gatchaman cel.

So far I'm looking to get the picture frame of Hikaru & Minmei, isn't that a shot from the t.v. series when they go out on a date in the park and the automated camera robot takes a snap shot of them?

I am so wanting the VF-17D (I have the S), why is that version so hard to find?

I just got into Gundam about a year and a half ago and that was after I picked up the 0079 movie trilogy. After that I was digging the series. Picked up Char's Counterattack (I actually watched this before any GUndam show and it confused the hell out of me, then I ended up getting the movie trilogy and it explained a lot of things). Then I purchased the remaining U.C. series stuff. I like watching the condensed movies since I don't have 40 hours to watch an entire cartoon show. I bought the Z Gundam series and after 2 discs out of 5 or 6 I believe I just ran out of time. Now waiting for the Z gundam movie trilogy to finish up in Japan before I get that.

Looks o.k., I was into GR back in the day for a while. So the clip where GR is riding alongside the cowboy-ghost rider, is that in homeage to the old Marvel weild west Ghost Rider? Are the badguys in this movie the vampires in the beginning?

Nice collection, once I get my own house I'll be getting those glass cases as well. Some of my friend's have them in their living rooms and those that don't own a house here have them all cramped up in their bedroom.

I've seen the import Metroplex in box at Frank & Sons, the robot mode looks great and I want it just because it pays homage to the G1 character which I liked just because it was huge. But the alt mode, what the heck is that, some bull dozer or something, why couldn't they make it a base and bring in a G1 homage to Trypticon like frrom the War Within Comics.
