  1. I am Up for a nerd...I meant Gnerl... count me in... I am wondering if can you do the soldier a bit more posseable so one could maneuver it to sit on the regult pods as well...? Many of us missed them last time...
  2. That is amazing definitively better than the 1:1 Gundam since this is made in pure metal. I am surprised I have never seen it completely built and painted.. I'd like to see more...
  3. You'll have to pre-assemble some parts before you putty. Painting and to some extent repair of seam lanes will be required to make it look good (this will be a headache if you don't have experience with that). It is the most affordable-and closest to the real thing- transformable VF-1 model you'll find in the market at 1/72. The thing I fully dislike is the chunky and detail-less torso/hip part and stiff looking legs. But overall i think is a good kit from the 80's. Keep in mind is not a VF-1 from Hasegawa.
  4. I received my yesterday...Thanks John.. Now let's hope I get some time soon to build it.. seems that 28 of August, 2010 is still available...
  5. some old one from me... it has a bit of add ons
  6. I think is a good interpretation of the original series. My cast piece were slightly twisted. So theres a chance anyone might get a slightly bad batch of them; But I always expect something like that on a resin model. Is true that the price is just a bit too high but I want someone to show me an alternative...? How about a pic of one built..?
  7. I also want one...But would like to know how many greens do i need to shed... I am glad you finished it Valk..
  8. a new redesigned lancer sounds good. A clear a canopy and cockpit sounds even better... I will depend on the price though.. I finally finished mine except for the decals...
  9. Double freaking post....!!!!
  10. I truly believe the the VF-1 deserved a little update. I had a hard time dealing with the flat squarish feet/trusters. They should have originally looked a bit like the ones in Zero. Since I saw this animation in the 80's that detail always bugged me. Also I would like to have the mecha in general more physically constant and not radically "morphing" from one the scene to the other because of Animefriend or lack of contuinity or paint. Just don't change the valks and destroids. One last thing; get rid of the blank/dead air scenes that just fill up time and give nothing..for example there's a scene of Booby trap when the Zentraedi attacks the city and the fights goes on; then they show either a random valk or Hikaru's VF flying by to the horizon and the camera suddenly pans slowly to one side just to find nothing and then pans back... I always thought WTF? they just wasted 10 seconds to shown a piece of a city in ruins anyone will take for granted..rather use that background on a fighting scene... To each their own...
  11. To me doesn't even look like a 1/72 size model.. if you notice the relationship in the focus between foreground/background of the picture seems to be a much smaller model 1/100 or even 1/144 . The decals are also a giveaway...
  12. I have (not exaggerating here... ) 15 models on the work bench at once... some of them have been started painting over this week length holidays. They are all in the painting detailing stage with exception of the Valhalla III that needs to be trimmed and primed... I have a huge 1/144 747, not pictured that's ready for wing painting and engine detailing The 2 small 1/200 aircrafts on the booth are done painting; except for the 727 wings. The B-wing and Minmai are ready for paint. This B-wing from Fantastic P; same one Petar B has built had some set backs specially on the cockpit area.. The Star Wars Trifoil and Lancer are ready for wash and decaling The 3 tie fighters need to have the solar panels painted and then detailing with a wash I also have the Revell recovery unit, that's the big cargo truck, assembled and ready for painting. the 3 SDF's need deatiling, wash and have the "Daedalus and Prometeus painted
  13. sssshhhhhwwwweeettt !! good job man...
  14. There's an old yellow submarine kit thats a transformable 1/144 scale valk. I am wondering if he followed the same mechanism..? The way he made the canopy removable is impressive
  15. In my opinion the 1/144 monster is one of the best detailed sculpts I have ever seen. There are recast copies over the internet on Ebay. I don't know of these copies of copies quality though. Mike's Monster is the best bargain regarding size/price and is quite detailed and accurate. I think i recall reading of a 1/60 Wonder festival Monster than never made it out of design prototype stage...

    Macross II VF-XX

The VF- XX is one of my favorite ships... A toy might be a bit of a stretch. I think trying out either a battroid or fighter version first would be the way to go.. What scale would you be building it on? Nexx might have been referring to the transformation sequence that might be similar to the VF-2ss
  17. Amazing !!..nice builds man... Haven't seen some of those kits build up yet... Muy bien...me gusta lo que has logrado. Ojala veamos mas pronto...
  18. Wow that didn't take long... you tube rocks... Is it my imagination or is the YF-21 sleeker than the 1/72? more accurately shaped?
  19. It's next weekend...I just found out about this a few hours back thanks to my GF. It's strange that my dear all of the sudden became interested on taking me to this event which I won't take lightly. I used to go to the one in Baltimore which is relatively bigger but being in the nation's capital it might end up having a bigger turn out. Unfortunately I work 7 days a week now a days so I'll attend on Sunday morning... http://www.animeusa.org/
  20. your project is really starting to kick @ss...... keep it up...
  21. It looks better than a well made toy....
  22. Man, this is so old news..it's been out for a few months now...there's also a fine molds x-wing build up somewhere
  23. I think is a neat idea...and what impresses me most is that I didn't know you could write/fill a page that long.. My only nitpick besides the paint is that the missiles protrusion on the upper chest would drastically limit the option of the optical devices to look to the sides. Only a tunneled straight view option; That wouldn't be good for combat...
  24. this is the only surviving picture of about a year after they re-released..it's been a long time since then..they have been either sold out or destroyed by now...I do have a few still intact in their boxes tho.. the "big" 1/200 MKII is included
