They sort of look like the kind Dengeki Hobby offers once in a while(or was it model graphix?) , but I don't remember seeing them in one I have
In case the auction ends before you see it

buy this-you will NOT be disappointed. Fantastic movie. The extras dvd was very cool too!
Thanks guys-if I hadn't caught this thread I would have missed out!!

Haven't heard a definitive date on the Clear Fast packs yet (we are trying), but apparently the Macross DYRL Helmets have finally been shipped

I've heard rumors of an Academy VF-2SS for a long time, but I've never actually seen one. Can you post photos of the box and the kit?

Yes another reason why I love SM
I love at the end he put 'Many thanks to my wallet for providing the review sample'...LOL
The dream someday that popular sites like ours would get freebie goods for reviews...maybe if I move to japan.

that model rocks-great job Rob

Once in a while seems ok as I initially wrote-
Simply due to their apparent popularity in the responses I don't want this to turn into the base for a ton of new recast projects be based from as you can understand

Hi everyone,
Sticky subject time....
I've noticed a few recasting threads popping up here and there recently.
First off, I cannot be a hypocrite. I have one of Noels 1/48 Ultimate Strike valk recasts(does it matter that I have 2 authentic Club-M 1/48 kits? not sure...LOL). I was excited it came out, and many were sold in public on these boards without the MW hammer coming down.
I see a similar Monster thread right now. Ok, its the first major fan recast since the 1/48, and it is rare as hell. Even being done by a very dedicated member here. Maybe once in a while one of these public fan projects is ok...stirs up the creative 'juices' and re-energizes many in the group.
Now I see another one for the 1/48 YF-21 saying 20 requests are needed.
Who is right? Who is wrong? Is it moral? Does it hurt anyone? If it wasn't for the WF limit to 20 kits...If I already own 2 originals...There are only 10 ever made...It'll never be made again...The original creator's company is defunct...I tried to get an original but the creator wouldn't do it...
Not going to get into the arguments above-my own opinions differ a little on each specific reason as do most of yours, but thats not the point, I'm not going to preach, I'm only going to say one thing.
Lets just keep being the respectful community we are and not go nuts with this recasting stuff.
Thank you!

Model kits of course
Nichimo 1/200 and Imai 1/144 at first
and then it ALL went downhill when I found a store in San Diego that had tons of the kits(this was in 83-84). Saved up my lunch money everyday, would play hooky from Friday afternoon classes and jump on the bus to get to the store and drool over what I could not afford. I remember seeing the Imai Focker 1/72 variable kit and almost passing out because the art work was so cool!!
Anyone remember 'Military Emporium' in El Cajon, CA? haha

If I remeber correctly its ....funny thing is I was asked about the origins about a year ago and have now promptly forgotten. Its original Macross art-not original created for Robotech. The sig is at the bottom right in the uncropped version...
Have a full blown poster of this pic from one of the old Animage magazines from 83
Its been cropped and used in many forms

Unbelievable. His response infuriates me-'you cannot sue me'.
I cannot believe that attitude!
I'm really sorry about this deal.
Between Tanmen and Sakuragawa, it appears that dealing directly with the model makers in Japan is a bust.
He needs to follow up on his option #3-period.
Thanks again for your help Rob

yeah-that Nichimo display is incredible
I've only ever see 2 of those before-ever.
1 sold on ebay for $600 if I remember right(I was outbid)
and the other was on Yahoo Japan for around $500
Was going to put 20000 yen on it, but my play money is pretty low this month, and that amount was already surpassed.
Damn thing only pops up once ever 2+ years.
Who want to donate money for the Shawn Nichimo fund? LOL
This is the Nichimo 'Holy Grail'

man!
I'm really sorry guys. Read all the threads going on here.
It took over a year for him to complete the orders I had sent him. He is always very busy, Macross is not the biggest priority in getting complete.
Rob-thank you very much for offering the translation services!! You are a great friend to everyone here.
If there is anything I can do please let me know. Tanmen and I used to talk on a regular basis (1999-2001)-he was slow, but he didn't ever flake on me.
