    but its still a fun read! :)

    There is a serious lack of stories about the VF-1 development history in Japanese. And how many translated into english??? The MAT books and the Hobby Handbook are good enough for me-its very entertaining stuff. But then again I couldn't quote you a asingle statistical reference about anything in Macross if my life depended on it.

    Well other than the Strike Valkyrie has 2 cannons...LOL

    That counts, right?

    absolutely-its showing pretty bad

    I've had offers to help and I'm taking them, but they tend to be for specific sections of the site-which does help out alot.

    I'd love to have one person who could focus on the forum maintenance and development, and another who could do the html and upload maintenance for the main web page

    The site has so much more potential than is currently here. I have tons of ideas and wants, but just no time-at least until I win the lottery and can do this stuff fulltime.

    Its from one of the Macross fan cdroms that a fan group was selling in Japan a couple years ago

    Kept it full size so you can watch full screen-72MB download. Try not to hammer the server too much...haha

    If you are wondering why this style looks familiar, Takaken stopped doing these fan works and did the the opening animation for the Macross VO game

    My precious

    poor old neglected Macross World

    today I upgraded the database-should be more stable (1.3 vs 1.1.2)

    Did a long overdue backup

    and some final acceptance

    I just don't have much free time anymore

    I've done a ton of scans for the big old December update.

    Hey-its FEBRUARY already.

    Keep saying to myself -THIS weekend I'll get to doing the html and upload, or "this weekend I'll finally change the freakin board SKIN' but it doesn't happen. I've never worked so many hours in my life-and it shows by all the neglect here. Not sure what to do.

    Even today I was battliing writing some final code for a program at work that is due this week or upgrading the board. Today I chose wisely-felt good to do this stuff again. Even working on getting the old boards back online(there are hundreds of posts that have the old IP address of the server hard coded in them-trying to fund a way to replace them all)

    So what should I do? First things first. The board needs some skinning work. I've asked before, but its a hard thing for someone to develop if they don't have a server. So how about I make one? I think I can add another forum and have it run parallel to this one that could be used for the development of all the graphics and whatnot. Any volunteers who want to spice up their skillset on Invision Board 1.3??? Team effort would be fine too (if one person is good at graphics, and the other at hml/php)

    Post interest here please! You won't have to wait on me-you can jump right in and start developing.

    While scanning and re-scanning all these old anime magazines for our 'Big Update' I came across this again

    Each pic in the magazine is about 1 inch tall-sorry it doesn't get much bigger

    I scanned them at the highest resolution I could

    In the first picture, what are the toys in the foreground? My takatoku knowledge is pretty limited outside of macross

    Also what is the man grabbing on the table?

    p.s. I've made a Macross Inventory Database(Microsoft Access) that this excel file was pulled from.

    It will be made available in December during the 'Big Update' for everyone to use to inventory their collections. Very easy to use with premade drop downs and categories. When I was inputting my collection each entry took less than a minute. As you can see I tried to make it pretty detailed.

    The vast majority of us understand very little Japanese. Some of us know elementary Kanji and can read Katakana and can make out SOME info(ie me haha!). Some can read fluently and they are some of our best resources on the site here.

    I've been looking here and there for a good easy accurate translation program for some time now. Figured most of you know some links so lets post them here.
