  1. Ah the video and poster clear it up...I'm dense

This is a fork of the main unit, it is a 'test machine'...i.e. VF-X/Macross Plus development fighter...AFC-01X Legioss Omega! :)

Now I understand the liberties with the design, its truly meant to be an evolution of the original design, not an interpretation.

  2. Very excited to see Hasegawa continue their build out of the kits...the TV Quead should be fantastic!
Such a strange offering for the VT-1 Gerwalk 'return to earth' mode from the movie, would never have guess that was in the queue.
And really looking forward to the Mercy Rabbit box art for these, should be epic.

We know the Nousjadeul-Ger has coming in 2026, where else are the going to go?
Maybe some new Zentradi ships? A 1/4000 matching Nupetiet-Vergnitzs would be my #1. :)

  3. I appreciate a fresh set of eyes on this classic design, and as I watched that video it did sort of break my mind thinking 'the parts aren't supposed to do that' lol
I sort of view it like a Mimic...where it looks human, but suddenly opens its mouth at the base of its neck to eat you.

If I find one cheap enough I'll bite just for the weirdness of it. I feel they looked at the market full of all the other 'screen accurate' valks and made their own market. Really can't wait to see their interpretation of the Fast Packs.
And they kept the 'Keep Clean', love it.

My only real gripe is the landing gear length. It reminds me of the original Yamato 1/60 V1 prototypes from 2001. I thought that was the shortest landing gear I'd ever seen in a valk until now. But at least they made it white!! (hint hint Bandai)

[Important Notice] Changes to U.S.-Bound Shipping Customs Regulations

      Thank you for using Buyee.

The “De Minimis” exemption has allowed imports valued at USD 800 or less to enter duty-free in the United States. However, this exemption is scheduled to be suspended as of August 29, 2025. As a result, items valued at USD 800 or less, which were previously exempt from duties, are expected to become subject to customs duties.

With regard to applicable duty rates, based on the information currently available, with some exceptions, all products of Japanese origin imported into the United States are expected to be subject to a 15% tariff rate.

In light of this, shipments for which the shipping procedure is completed on or after 08:00 JST on August 27, 2025 (19:00 ET on August 26, 2025) are expected, as noted above, to likely require payment of customs duties upon receipt.

However, for ECMS shipments to the United States, we will change to a shipping service where no separate customs duty payment is required.

      Changes:

・An additional JPY 6,285 (includes customs duties and clearance fees) will be added to the international shipping charge.

No separate customs duty payment will be required.

      Effective date:

      08:00 JST on August 22, 2025 (19:00 ET on August 21, 2025)

For customers concerned about the amount of customs duties upon arrival, we recommend using this shipping method.

Please note that these regulatory changes are subject to additional updates or changes in conditions. We will provide further announcements as new information becomes available.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this change may cause, and appreciate your understanding.

  5. Personally I wouldn't worry too much about the release, even these special web-only releases.
Wait for them to show up on the 2nd hand market, get a proxy buyer, and get it from Yahoo Japan.
Yes you will pay the 6000-10000 mark up fee, but the stress level or waiting up at 2am refreshing a bunch of web pages is forever gone.
Plus they put up the std disclaimer about it being available afterwards.

Not saying its the cheapest option for everyone, but it has worked out for me.
Plus the shipping always tends to be cheaper, as I bundle this with other items through the proxy.

  6. Yes I saw multiple AI bots crawling the site starting this last week, hammering the hell out of it.

I've got htaccess and robots blocking as many as I can, but they are just ignoring.

We have a LOT of data here these last 25 years, 1.6 million posts and hundreds of thousands of pictures.

If any AI really cares about Macross its a lot of stuff to digest!

  7. Good news is that they continue the 001 release on both tailfins , like they did with original Focker release.

Still hard to believe they doubled down with the Mechanic Edition Hikaru VF-1S with the 100 tailfin extra option, such a weird commitment to that mistake.

  8. The DX GBP was a 'loosely' based on the Takatoku GBP release=the sharp angled upper corner and the tab at bottom center.
I agree they could have leaned more retro in the first DX GBP release

Toynami went all in with their 1/100 retro version, so maybe Bandai saw that and did the pivot to the Nichimo box style.
I'm personally very happy with their choice, I love the Nichimo kits and it really gives it a retro look in my eyes.
