  1. You're welcome! But, err... Useful for what...?
  2. As far as I know, the first source is in the liner notes for the "Macross 7 Docking Festival" CD, but it's been repeated in Macross Chronicle as well.Kaifun apparently ended up producing Fire Bomber American, for what it's worth.
  3. No news since the NicoNico event, and maybe nothing more until New Year's Eve.
  4. No, it really pops up out of nowhere and then is never brought up again...
  5. Part 2: Space Fold: https://gubabablog.wordpress.com/2015/11/19/the-great-macross-rewatch-4-space-fold/ Lynn Minmay: https://gubabablog.wordpress.com/2015/11/19/the-great-macross-rewatch-5-lynn-minmay/
  6. The write-ups take a long time, so I'm moving somewhat slowly. I'm trying to do one per day to get a good head start on them, but my goal from posting the write-ups is one DVD per week. For the TV series, that means two episodes on Sunday, and two episodes on Wednesday. If I get far enough ahead, I'll increase it. Ah. Hikaru's pad is referred to as military-assigned barracks there. And yes, giant Zentradi do pretty much all construction work.
  7. You should read "The Lost Two Years"... But, yeah... You're WAY ahead of where I am...
  8. I had been putting off doing a Rewatch because I wanted to do it properly... For a while now, anytime I rewatch a series, I keep track of it on Facebook, putting up a picture and writing a little blurb. I realized that that wouldn't fly for Macross, and doing a real job on it was a pretty daunting task to consider... But I finally went ahead and started. My goal is to do something akin to Captain JLS's 365 Days of Robotech, or the episode commentary from ourstarblazers.com, but there's no way I can be quite THAT authoritative. Still, it's a start. 9. I'm getting to Episode 7 today...
  10. The BD is still available for purchase. And it's highly worth it!
  11. But there's supposed to be ONE Gundam during the OYW, and it's the one Amuro has. 0080 fudges it by having a new Gundam being tested on a colony. 08th MS Team completely screws with continuity by having mass-produced Gundams. If you add in the mangas and games, there are apparently dozens of Gundams flitting about, which simply doesn't square with the original series/movies.
  12. Except for A Wrinkle in Time, that is.However... Folds aren't instantaneous, because of Fold Faults. Which is why Fold Quartz was/is so highly sought after.
  13. Huh. I asked Reaction Warhead several times what I said that caused such offense, and got nothing. I even said I'd apologize for upsetting him so if he'd give me the post(s) that bothered him. Anyway, I dunno... One-Year-War is kinda played out, isn't it?
  14. 1. Yeah... That's the sequels... They get ridiculous after a while...3. I'm not, really. And again, I don't think I've attacked you personally. What did I say? (And, um... If what happens in Delta stays in Delta, you probably shouldn't have brought it up here, right...?)
  15. 1. I have watched the original Gundam (many, MANY times, from 1985 onwards), and the main fleet to attack A Baoa Qu was blasted by the Solar Ray. The White Base Crew attacked, cleaned up, and truly became the Newtype Division (and Newtypes, you may remember, are all about UNDERSTANDING...). The impression we're left with at the end of the series (or movies, if that's how you roll), is that they're the future of humanity, and have thus saved EVERYONE. 2. I'm not sure what your second paragraph is saying. Thus I can't address it. 3. I'm ornery, I admit it. I don't remember attacking you specifically, though. I've disagreed with you in the Delta thread, but I haven't come after you. Wanzerfan, I went after. Shaloom, I went after. If I went after you, trust me, you'd know it. 4. You'll have to bring that up with the mods. You'll notice, Reation Warhead: Sharon Apple Concert Attendee, that as you make more posts, your title changes. One of them is "Nuker of gay, unborn baby space whales" and if you post here enough, you'll hit it, too. My mistake was that once I moved into the next bracket, I posted, "Thank goodness I'm no longer a nuker of gay, unborn baby whales anymore." And some wag on the moderating staff hit me with my custom tag. A few members have them, and they're more to be pitied than censured.
  16. Agreed.it should be like the original, gritty Gundam, where all the seasoned, experienced soldiers get killed and a bunch of teenagers save the day.
  17. Honestly, I kinda hope they go with Elements Garden. They've done some excellent scores.
  18. Again, the nice thing about Macross (as opposed to, say, Gundam or Star Wars) is that, however much you complain, a rising tide really does lift all boats. New SDF-1s, a huge VF-1... This is all because of Delta. Maybe you hated the trailer, maybe you won't buy the DVDs or BDs. Maybe you won't buy toys or kits of the VF-31. But with every new Macross series that ISN'T for you, there are products made that you'll love.
  19. He's a great designer and a great man. He totally forgave me for not being able to find him a Snapple.
  20. Well... In-story rationale, as far as I can tell, is that the SDF-2 started construction on the Moon in 2004 as a battleship (i.e. what you see in Perfect Memory). When construction on it resumed, soon after Space War I, it was mostly redesigned to be an emigration ship (i.e. what we saw in FB2012).As for why the ARMDs instead of the Daedalus and Prometheus, I assume the staff just wanted to do things differently than the TV series.
