That's an unpainted red Alpha. It's to show the die-cast content of the toy. All metallic colors on it (except the fingers) is die-cast.

ah, you're right.

but really, there should be some big changes for a shadow alpha... different intakes, some body work, not to mention hands and head need changing...

It's small, but looks pretty stiff...

I'm hopin' the production version will be the same way without the floppyness of the VF-1 MPC.

Edit: .....based on Exo's video... thanks man.

Ah, dude, I don't think that's a shadow..... It's just a display piece, that like was said, to show this release has the promised die-cast

Thanks for posting the pics (and the movie) guys.

It *appears* from the pics that the knee-cap parts are not hinged like on the 1/35 Gakken, rather they look like they just have enough flare to slide past the mid-section of the leg... Something which I've been wondering about.

Where is the gun supposed to go on the Shadow in fighter mode?

It rests between the shoulder missile pods. Either the left or right one has a hardpoint for it to mount on in Fighter Configuration. Its the same for the Shadow Alpha and Shadow Drone. Its above and behind the cockpit and should be able to fire in all modes.
