jvmacross
No....that pic looks like from a model kit magazine like Hobby Japan...It could also be from one of the Macross Model Kit books released, but off the top of my head I do not recall it being in one of them....the most likely would be the Macross Delta modelling book that was released a few years ago.....if I can find the book I can check, but like I said, I do not remember seeing it in that book Pics are from Hobby Japan October 2017 issue...a custom kit...not sure what the new magazine is that is being shown in the pic you posted Edited February 27, 2021 by jvmacross
jvmacross
As part of the most recent exibits of all things Macross...the Macross 40th Anniversary Exhibit at the Osamu Tezuka Memorial Hall....several "Osamu Tezuka" themed Macross merch was made available.....the new exhibit also included a new Mikimoto illustration... The illustration made it's way to a few items, but I was most interested in the "Towel".... Incidentally, it is more of a fleece blanket than an actual "towel".... jvmacross
I wasn't a big fan of the Tezuka-styled merch offered during the recent Macross 40th Anniversary Exhibit at the Osamu Tezuka Memorial Hall....but I sorta liked the SDF-1 keychain.... nightmareB4macross
Nice keychain. Yeah, the whole Texuka line was a big meh for me too. It was overly cartoonish.
jvmacross
Catoonish...that's the best way to describe the Tezuka merch....I think a big SDF-1 plushi in this style would have worked...missed opportunity I guess
