nightmareB4macross Posted January 24, 2023 Posted January 24, 2023 Did the metallized Mac7 VFs come with CC offers? For some reason I thought they did.
jvmacross Posted January 24, 2023 Author Posted January 24, 2023 Maybe you are thinking of the credit card sized art cards they came packed with?
Shawn Posted January 25, 2023 Posted January 25, 2023 I remember seeing some CC flyers or something for valk credit cards....maybe it was this one? https://web.archive.org/web/20060217110929/http://www.gecard.com/character/macross.html I realized I actually SAVED off that page back in 2004 and see the special blue colored heat shield on it LOL
jvmacross Posted January 25, 2023 Author Posted January 25, 2023 These are the credit card sized art cards that came with the metalized special edition Bandai 1/65th scale toys...they are made of the same plastic material as credit cards...one more thing.....all the cards have the same illustration between the 3 released VF's....only the edition number printed on them varies...not sure how many were actually made, but they are easy to find and not too expensive in decent condition...
jvmacross Posted January 25, 2023 Author Posted January 25, 2023 The Macross Visa CC promo was from 2004-2005....the Metallized Bandai M7 VFs were released in 1986...so that rules out any tie-in with the original M7 toy release.... Do expired Macross CCs ever come up for auction? I'd buy one...
nightmareB4macross Posted January 25, 2023 Posted January 25, 2023 Thanks for the clarification everyone. As we get older we need to be more diligent in preserving the history of Macross, in any form. As time goes by, we for… Wait! What was I talking about? 😁
jvmacross Posted January 26, 2023 Author Posted January 26, 2023 something about Macross wallets, shiny M7 valks and Macross credit cards or something along those lines.....

BW's deal with HG pretty much guaranteed you will never get SDFM-DYRL merch outside of Japan ever....nothing has changed, except the status quo is now officially sanctioned by BW
Swann Posted March 7, 2023 Posted March 7, 2023 They have to be Japan made for me. Even funnier. Tommy Yune passing off robotech love live alive as legit history of robotech. Not one mention of Mospeada. By the way. None of the people behind HG. Never mentions Macross.
jvmacross Posted March 7, 2023 Author Posted March 7, 2023 I don't follow anything HG...but I buy some HG licensed items
