Ok last one for today. Been home with a sick kiddo today so have some time on my hands.

I wanted to share some pics of my monster build from last year. Spooky stuff right here. Alignment on the main cannons was an issue for me and they look so flat and almost on the same plane and less staggered like in the artwork. Also some seam issues lurking that I never dialed in.

I would love an updated version of this kit. This was a fun one and I learned so much from it.

I am in the process of cleaning up my stash, cataloging my kit manuals, decals and extra parts hands etc… and recycling all these empty boxes.
Anyway I discovered I had a resin kit in my stash all this time and never opened it and completely overlooked it. I don’t even remember when I bought it. Lol. I’m old and will use that as my excuse.
Anyway I pinned it up quick this morning. It’s very very basic with only a few pieces but needs lots of clean up.
It’s the Hasegawa Macross DYRL Miria non scale figure. This will be my first figure build and hope to work on it this year if possible. It will look nice next to her Q-Rau

Got some better pics of an old kit I build this past year. I’m so looking forward to the new version coming out this year.

I got mine, but also haven’t done anything with it. Can’t wait to see this one.

The monster is one of my all time favorite mecha designs. I also hope we get a nice modern kit. Maybe if those wave 1/100 destroids sell well they may do one since they had teased it many years ago

I hope you are right. The 1/200 scale is sort of a perfect size for it, but I’d gladly take a 1/100 if it happens.

Almost there. A few more layers…red, topcoat, decals, panel line and we are good.

I decided to pant the clear lens parts with clear red on front and silver on back. Sort of candy-ish but a clear middle refracting light.

I often do a similar thing, but with chrome instead of silver

Looks amazing so far, you did a fantastic job on the seams, can't see them at all. B))
