wolfx Posted July 29, 2009 Share Posted July 29, 2009 This whole debate is moot anyways. Kawamori has announced that he has plans to retcon most of pre-Macross 7. He's going to do a "Director's Cut" of DYRL - kind of like Lucas - and add all the scenes that SHOULD have been there but couldn't due to budget constraints at the time. This includes painting all of the VF-1s pink. As Kawamori stated in his recent interview on the subject: Yamato has already announced that it will be converting all of its' production of the v.2 into pink Valkyrie. BOMBA! Pete I find that statement highly unlikely and sounds more like Kawamori being a troll or something. He's been rather trolley lately. bluemax151 Posted July 29, 2009 Share Posted July 29, 2009 The Pink Peckers VF-11 is the best thing since cubed bread, I can't wait till yamato decides to make a pink repaint VF-11. I would be infinitely more tempted to buy a pink peckers deco for the novelty value alone. Although I understand all the stock footage and terrible animation are off putting considering Plus came out at the same time and is so much prettier I do not understand all the character and story hate. Maybe it's because I watched this show in the 90s when most people didn't even know wtf M7 was or that I love the 80s hairband/buttrock that is so prominent in the series? It can't be said the series lacks character development and the mecha designs at least as line art are pretty damn sexy. The series might not be the most recommended in the Macross Universe and Basara one of the most insensitive characters ever, but it still rocks for me. Shame on me. considering Gamlin VF-22 only appears in an OVa for about 15 seconds, a few seconds more than the VF-4 in flashback And it pwned a few VA-3s, transformed, landed in gerwalk mode....yeap....definately way more screentime and action than Flashback.
