cwmodels Posted November 7, 2003 Posted November 7, 2003 Nobody at Hobbyfan's board seems to be able to guess which character this is that I am currently scratch building. Wanna take a crack at it?
Grayson72 Posted November 7, 2003 Posted November 7, 2003 Hmm, can't remember which character got her hand chopped off...
Myersjessee Posted November 8, 2003 Posted November 8, 2003 Not sure...but its coming along nicely. Whats your medium?
cwmodels Posted November 8, 2003 Author Posted November 8, 2003 It's Sara, what do I win? How about all the excess sculpy I carved off of the figure.... Hmm, can't remember which character got her hand chopped off... Didn't you know she loses her hands in Episode 3? Actually, I always mold the hand last because (1) it's hard (2) it's the most important part because they give the figure it's final gesture. The figure can have a completely different look/feel if the hands are positioned differently. Whats your medium? Sculpy, Expoy Putty and Tin Foil. Here is the current progress and parts breakdown:
007-vf1 Posted November 8, 2003 Posted November 8, 2003 yeah, like knight26 said is Sara from Macross Zero
Re-issue Liu Posted November 10, 2003 Posted November 10, 2003 Great work! Chi I can't wait to see finish.
Myersjessee Posted November 28, 2003 Posted November 28, 2003 Wow...youve come a long way!!! GORGEOUS!!!

Myersjessee Posted November 28, 2003 Posted November 28, 2003 Awesome! You MUST make a resin kit of that!! I'll second that!!!
Sebastian Posted November 29, 2003 Posted November 29, 2003 Man, you have REAL talent! Your sculpt is amazing.
BlastoToys Posted November 29, 2003 Posted November 29, 2003 WOW! That is unbelievable! I love seeing the progress on something like this. I have a long way to go before my talents will even come close to something like this. I envy you and applaud such great craftsmanship.
Druna Skass Posted November 30, 2003 Posted November 30, 2003 For a second I thought it was Elly from Xenogears, with the long orange hair in the first pic.
cwmodels Posted November 30, 2003 Author Posted November 30, 2003 Thanks for the comments everyone. Still have to do some more refining and to add in some more details. Probably about another month to go. As for casting the figure into a resin kit, I will need at least 10 people to buy it or else it wouldn't be economical to do so. I'll see how it goes after it is completed.
Valkyrie Posted December 1, 2003 Posted December 1, 2003 10 kits, eh? I doubt that would be much of a problem here
