jenius
Doesn't XSToys have some really rare one off stuff? I'd be interested to know what kind of stuff like that existed. I don't think prototypes should count exactly... but even those would be cool to know about.
Hiriyu
If one had unlimited resourses, and wanted to get their hands on every Macross toy, what would be the hardest to find? Takatoku 1/55 VF-1D Prototype. It was featured in a TV commercial. Someone else will have to post the picture. It's so rare, that even Google Images will not net it. jenius
There's a Max 1A in that same commercial.

Jeremy007
that figure of the armored VF-1J launching all those missles is one of the coolest toys ive ever seen. in the first pic, the VF-1S head looks slightly more round and anime accurate, but i might be wrong and just be an odd angle. jenius
You're right, the prototype Takatokus had different heads on their VF-1S.
Jeremy007
has it ever been made public who owns these prototypes? I know some of the guys who designed the Diaclone/Transformers line own a lot of rare stuff like the first design for Convoy and God Bomber...among others. They should be in a toy museum in japan.
