lilcris Posted June 8, 2005 Share Posted June 8, 2005 I saw Macross II and after seeing Macross Plus (loved that one!) I was really dissapointed about this OVA/movie. On the animeondvd site it said that it is a sequel to the original then said it's an alternate universe timeline. So what is it officially, is it cannon and come after the TV series? Macross II is approximately 80 years after 2009, Macross plus is in the 2040, Macross II is a non-studio nue story so it isn't canon, Macross 7 its the real SDFM sequel and comes after Macross plus in the timeline. The last story in the timeline its the videogame Macross VFX-2 (2050) its also canon like M+ and M7. The videogames Macross M3 and VFX are canon stories too. Hmmm, I wonder if our friends at Harmony Gold had something to do with it being put on hiatus.
