Roy VF-1S - Need both

Just FYI Overdrive updated my very old pre order of the VF-1J to "processing". So anyone worried about orders in the old system should breath a sigh of relief as I am sure you will all be getting notifications soon too. I've been using Amiami a fair bit but you can pretty much forget about SAL for any reasonable sized item. Standard respose always seems to be "Package too big for SAL". Even so their discount prices and solid service have them as my new favourite for the moment.

Just checked some of my V2's 1S roy (orig) Knurled at 1 end (unfortunately found it is breaking ) 1J Hikky (orig) Knurled at 1 end (seems intact) 1J M&M's smooth at both ends (intact) So yeah. Knurling only seems to have been at one end.... and now I need a new set of hinges for roy.

Oh no! I have never had a broken shoulder either and I have pretty much every release. This troubles me, if a shoulder breaks on an experienced Valk handler like Graham I should definately order some replacement parts from over-drive. Speaking of Over-Drive! My resolve has been broken. M&M VF 22's have been ordered. My theory is that releases are going to be far and few between this year after the V2 VF-1 onslaught so should give my wallet some recouping time. Funnily I have never transformed the YF-21 out of fighter mode. So I guess these 2 will go in Gerwalk and Battroid mode.

I got mine and I am very impressed. The colours are also not disco skittle in person or in the pics I took with natural light. Turn the flash on though and you may as well pop a tab and crank the music

Waiting For the Quarter to arrive. It has hit my state but the posties are on strike for the next 24 hours so it may end up sitting at a depot somewhere until after Christmas.

Paid for mine last night and hopefully it gets on a plane nice and early and in my hands by Christmas but it will be an up hill battle.

This delay does not please me. I hope this disappointment means next year will bring us Yamato Macross 7 love including all new molds!

I got my Alto VF-25 Movie version today. It's my first DX and I must say I am more impressed than I thought I would be coming from all Yamatos and 1/72 VF-25's. Loving the size and weight of this thing and the well discussed flaws (features) have not niggled me at all. Also the blue tint to the white paint isn't overly dramatic and the pale super parts aren't nearly as overpowering as the photos here imply. In lower light (who puts their valks in direct sunlight anyway?) the two are not a bad match at all. Anyhow I am happy with my purchase and see a few more DX's in my future.

Ugh damn you people!! I have just gone and ordered the Alto Super (movie ver) and also an Armoured Ozma to go with my Pre order of the Quater. Which will probably lead to me getting the DX VF-27 As well. I should have just stuck with the models but variety is the spice of life.

I will have to try this SAL method out. EMS are getting a bit slack as of late and where I live Registered SAL only takes an extra couple of days to arrive. The price premium to use EMS just isn't doing it for me anymore...

I mix and match between the two. Both have been good to me, Overdrive seem to have the edge on seamlessness/turnaround times. I have noticed that Overdrive are charging me $39 USD to EMS to Australia which is up from $33 a few months ago. This is a little disappointing since the newer Yammys seem to be running with slimmer packaging (see VT-1).

Looks fantastic. New Roy with V2 mould updates has tipped me over the edge! I need a valk that I can toy with a bit more and what better valk than a new take of the iconic Roy VF-1S! Ahh it feels like only the other day that I got the V2 Roy thinking it would fulfil my VF-1 requirements, I am now a fully fledged addict! A question for those who use Overdrive: Can you modify an existing order to add an extra item via their website or do you have to email them or is it just not possible/worth the hassle? I have the VE-1 on pre order and figured I'd try and add the LV Roy to the order to cut down on some shipping but not sure if it is worth the hassle.

Processing!!! Excellent! I've been looking at my list of Valks on pre order fully paid off just hanging for them to start rolling in again. PS: Where are the pics? There were supposed to be Pics!

Oh man I just finished my Super VF-25G kit. Happy days are here! That's 3 down now, Stock VF-25F (in fighter), stock VF-25s (battroid) and Super VF-25g (battroid). Now I need to decide if I can maintain sanity long enough to whip up an Alto Armoured. Especially with the VF-27 on the horizon.. Then there is the RVF-25 as well...

Put me in the sooner rather than later camp! I've had my pre orders for the VT-1, VE-1, M&M's paid for quite some time now.. plus I'm just about to plonk down some cash for the 1J-GBP, it would be nice to see something soon for all of that money.. Thankfully I have a 1/72 VF-25G with super parts I picked up which is helping kill some time but I'll be finished with that soon enough. I spose I could reward Yamato with my lack of patience by picking up the CF's and or some Destroids.

I got mine from www.toy-wave.com It was the fixed version with extra packaging for the tailfin. I would think you should be pretty safe with them because they had no stock and I had to wait for the re release. *Of course don't take this as gospel, you should check up with them using the "contact us" link. (Ken was usually pretty quick with his replys)

Thanks guys, I will take that under advisement. While I am asking about manuals how does the Armoured manual work?

Just a quick question for the guys that have built kits up and added seperate super parts: How do the instructions work: Do the super parts come with updated instructions which walk you through building the base kit and adding the super bits as needed? Or other? Thanks

I reckon there will be high chances of tantrums being thrown. If you read your order email it says: "Please note that this order will not be entered into our accountingsystems until July 20 because of the weekend. At that time, we willsend you an order confirmation message with your customer ID, ordernumber and other information." Hopefully their system is smart enough with stock allocation.

Yeah I tripped over that sale yesterday by accident. I had ruled out getting anymore of the 1/72's until I felt up to the challenge of an armoured or the VF-27 was released. Oh building the Super Micheal will keep me entertained while I wait for all of my 1/60 VF-1 Pre orders that are delayed or miles off.
