  1. Oh man. I swear I am single handedly propping up Japans economy via Yamato and to a lesser extent Bandai. Ordered and awaiting VF-11B
  2. For Real? And here I was smug with my YF-21 purchase the other day. Ahh well I didn't pay top dollar for it and I'm a fan of Blue and Yellow. Unfortunately this line of reasoning won't help me overcome my addiction and I'm already contemplating how much better the VF-22 looks in battroid mode with this colour scheme!
  3. Yep still broken. In other news I eagerly await My Max 1-S
  4. I've given up for now and will entertain myself with the Max 1S, Nora SV-51 and YF-21 all on the way to me over the next couple of weeks. Of course all of this will change once you guys start plastering this thread with glorious pics of your new VF-11's
  5. Yep I'm in Australia. I actually didn't use Future but the closest Australian substitute which is called "Pledge One Go" I found this in Coles. Here's a link shamelessly ripped out of the previous thread which explains it well and documents the different namings and brands from around the world. http://www.swannysmodels.com/TheCompleteFuture.html
  6. Cheers for the compliments guys 1. For the ink I used "Violet" Drawing ink. It's made in Australia by "Educational Colours" so you you will no doubt have to find an alternative if you want to play. Here is a link to a site that sells it with some details: http://www.artsupplies.com.au/index.php?ma...products_id=386 2. I used the stickers. decals still scare me, though I'm going to have to man up if I get a Luca.
  7. All of a sudden I have got pumped for this and went to order from overdrive but alas the checkout is broken on their site. Impulse fading....
  8. Very nice Vegas. Gives me an idea of what mine could look like without out the crazy clutter of my transformers.
  9. I finished my Alto over the weekend and took a snap of my canopy that I tinted using a mixture of Future and purple drawing ink (sourced from an art store). I'm quite pleased with my results. The action base stand seems to be doing a good job of holding it up too. A little wobbly if you mess around with it but still well balanced. Definately want to do a Super Michael and stock Luca to go along with my Ozma and Alto now. Damn these things come up well even by a n00b like me.
  10. Yess!! I have re arranged everything today so there will be room for one more -S Skull member My money has been long parted with. Can't Wait!!
  11. Some Excellent collections guys! Since I just re arranged my shelves to make room for my Macross stuff (old transformers relagated ) I thought I'd post some pics of my current collection. I have been collecting these since the V2 1/60 Roy came out (so not all that long in the scheme of things). The Study... The Loungeroom...
  12. Cool thanks for that. I'm In Australia and just went to my local art supplier. I am now armed with several purple substances to try out. One is some form of Drawing ink and the other is a small block of watercolour. I will try diluting both into future then applying and see how it goes. Left over bits from a Clear Gundum action base will be my test subjects.
  13. Ugh!! I should have just gone with a blue tint!! Put me down in the list of people chasing the magic bulltet that is the purple tint. I had some luck with food dye and future but the tint is barely noticable. Dye can definately be mixed to make purple you just have to use small amounts and blend very slowly. I might try and add some more in or use less future but the danger is that the dye goes a deep plumb colour when you start mixing too much. Future and Tamyia purple is a confirmed fail. They just don't mix at all and you end up with little globs of purple. Today I go looking at a party store for straight up purple food die, might also hit up an art store and see what inks they have that I could potentially mix. Failing that I might attack some inkjet refils and see how they go.... Yep should have just stuck with blue
  14. These threads have been a great source of info and temptation for me and I would never have even thought of getting these kits or even attempting a kit without reading them so thumbs up guys. On the flip side I think I am now addicted so I hold you all accountable! I have just finished my first (Ozma) kit and am very pleased with how it has turned out. Panel Lines and Stickers only for this effort and it will now display in battroid mode from now on. For any novices out there worried about the difficulty I can assure you it is straight forward and produces a top quality looking piece of kit just using the provided sticker sheet. I am now working my way through an Alto build (much easier the second time around) which will stay in fighter mode and tonight I will be kicking it up a notch and trying a tint on the canopy etc. I was thinking next up I'd try a Super Kit but it doesn't seem there is a Michael combo yet, has one been announced that I have skipped over?
  15. Yes!! Got mine in from Over-Drive this arvo (I'm in Australia). It is already up on a flexi display with the rest of the gang!
  16. I have been happy with Toy-Wave (purchased the bulk of my stuff there ) get quick replies to any enquiries and they get their hands on pre order items and ship them very quickly too. I have also ordered the VF-1D through Over-Drive and it just arrived this arvo so I am also very happy with their service. Note I am in Australia so dealing with Asian based suppliers is quite efficient in terms of shipping times and also price.
  17. Cheers. I'll proceed with my orders and try and find myself a seperate Strike Pack for the Max 1S. The others can remain naked.
  18. Since the 1/60 v2 line threads have been split and this is a discussion on how many people will buy I hope I'm not going too far out of line with asking the following: Now that there has been a glut of new announcements from Yamato and they will all be hitting soon I need to get my pre orders sorted, I'm struggling with figuring if any of the upcomming valks are going to have or likely to have strike/fast packs bundled so far from my looking signs say no. VF-1D: Did it ever have packs? I'll prob just grab it as a standalone valk and display it naked in fighter mode anyhow but if there is a definative release I would want it TV-1A MAX/Kakizaki: Same as above . VF-1A MAX/Kakizaki, I would have thought they would come bundled with the same extras as the VF-1A Hikaru but have not seen any sign of this. I can work around this buying standalone kits if I feel the need VF-1S Max: also no sign of a strike pack version (this would have been the most likely candidate to have a full bundled version). Sorry for taking this off track but I think my answer to the poll is "ALL OF THEM" and I'm looking to round out my collection as effectively as possible.
  19. Yeah I lost my wallet already. Foolishly grabbed a 25th Anniversary 1/48 VF-1S as a one off. Soon realised that I couldn't cope with a Non Cannon Scheme. Found the 1/60's had just come out so grabbed a Roy. Stewed on the YF-19 25th to complete the set and cracked within a couple of days. Have grabbed Every 1/60 VF1 since (and will continue doing so). Grabbed all the Revoltechs and just Grabbed the VF-0S as seen above.
  20. Yay!! I got mine today! I have admired it in Fighter mode and transformed into Battroid mode. The arms have not exploded and he will now stay as is! Skull tampos all look straight on mine. I am very impressed and also worried which direction this latest arrival will take me in my new found addiction.
  21. Correct: I got my Hikaru 1S today and can confirm the following: Hikaru has red arrows with black outline and red dot Roy has yellow arrows with black outline and red dot. I was under the impression from some of the early shots that Hikaru was supposed to have a yellow dot but this is not the case. The only difference is the arrows. Damn this 1/60 line is like crack to me at the moment. I am incapable of stopping, Max 1S is good news for me since I'm not a huge fan of the 1A and this will buy me some time to gather some willpower before the eventual 1A (not TV I'll get that too) Max.
  22. Oooh.. Finally! Had this bad boy pre ordered and payed back when the AU$ was nearly 1:1 with the US$.
  23. Got my 1A yesterday. It is also in perfect shape and skulls appear straight. So 2 from 2 ok for me now.
  24. I have pre-ordered a restock of the Roy VF-0S which is supposedly due in September. Here's hoping it has the fixes applied. I'll be sure to post my findings as soon as I get it.
  25. First post so may as well be here and provide a use. I just recently got my 1/60 v2 Roy with Super/Strike which is my first official "Canon" VF1. I also have a 25th Ann 1/48 VF1 and Jetfire to compare with. I have voted that mine is perfect: I can't find any physical faults with it and all tampo printing appears straight and clear. I'm so pleased with this release that I will embark on a collecting frenzy of the 1/60 series as it comes out.
