    Macross Δ Its certainly....a thing! Technically speaking, this flier and official poster are possibly the first ever Δ merchandise. While the poster doesn't have the Δ logo on it, it is for the idol auditions for the show. So, won't you sing? WON'T YOU?!?!?!

    A Kia Asamiya exhibition and talkshow was held recently to commemorate both the 25th anniversary of Silent Mobius and the launch of the first tankobon of the sequel manga series 'Silent Mobius Quadriga'. While I didn't get many pics, heres what I did get (just for Strumvogel).

    I actually think I'd like to see some cameo's from the characters from Macross the Musiculture over ones from Macross 30, if only because Loli's granddaughter was so damn kickass! Oh course, neither has a snowballs chance in hell of happening, but hey, it's nice to want things. But its a new series! So out with the old characters and in with the new! :-)

    It's the third in a series of Macross 'singles parties' - only it really isn't. Its more of a fan meet up really. This time around it's going to be held at the Macross-themed Kyarakuro cafe, which already has a bunch of Macross-themed food, and will be adding new items to the menu for Sheryls birthday this weekend. Since the cafe is rather small, the party is being broken up over separate days and age groups. I'm going to be prioritising a text report of the gig on the front page and then looking to add some impressions into a podcast at a latter date. I'm doing this because, in the end, it would just be me talking about the Firebomber gig so I'd rather capture all the details on (digital) paper first, such as it is. While it's not quite on the level of the old Macrossmass piece, it is still going to be a multi-event report covering everything that happened the weekend of the Firebomber concert, namely: Oshare Macross 7, Mikimoto signing, Chie Kajiura solo concert, and the Firebomber gig and shenanigans. I have some details drafted out but am waiting on photos from a fellow fan who had a really damn good digital SLR. I hope to have something up within the next month or so. Between Yoshiaki Kawajiri film festivals, Kia Asamiya signings, Yoshiyuki Takani exhibits, Sheryl Nome's birthday, the Macross Cafe, and the next podcast, weekends are a little busy at the moment ^^; But I'll get it done eventually, promise! Oh, not to mention the Master Chief Collection - FIX THOSE DAMN SERVERS, MICROSOFT!

    That's because only Chapter zero (which was originally printed in Newtype Ace) and the latest (this months) chapter are free. You have to read them the month they come out to be able to do so. This is why everyone posts the heck out of each new chapter both here and on facebook when its released so that people have time to go and check it out. Once theres a tankobon's worth of content, you can purchase the digital edition in full from ComicWalker's sister site, BookWalker. At the moment BookWalker has tankobons 1-5 of Macross the First and all of Macross 7 Trash, along with some of the Macross Frontier comedy manga. The more recent chapters presumably wont be available again digitally until the next tankobon is released.

    If there was any more information it would be covered extensively both here and on the front page. What little we know is already out there. 1)Its coming 2)It has a name, the official reading of which has yet to be announced. 3)There are auditions for singers opening in December. 4)Kawamori has decided how he wants to use music in the show (from a recent interview) That's it. As such (and if industry rumblings are to be believed) we probably have a fair wait ahead of us yet.

    Only a handful of new chapters because they started off by republishing Episode Zero. Nowhere near enough to fill a new physical volume yet.

The effect on audio quality is about what one would expect ^^; Still, hope everyone has as much fun listening to it as we had recording it! TheLoneWolf & Strumvogel - many thanks for the kind words! Strumvogel - that pic is of a wonderfest kit that was sold at the event, fyi.

    At this point no, there has been no official ruling on how the title is read. The only comments have been something akin to 'wait and see (*winkwink*)' Which is all we can really do for now. The series is still a fair ways off. Give it time and savour the anticipation imo ()

    Its public knowledge that there were 25 eps in Frontier because it was a 25th anniversary show. thats why the end felt rushed. Similarly, it aired at 25:25, or 01:25 for the rest of us (Japan extends the 24hr clock to 27 or even 28 hour time in common usage). But Kawamori is known for loving his puns and in-jokes, so this is not particularly mysterious or even secret.

    Looks like we were both wrong! The latest installment came out last night (11/5). Unfortunately, apart from the Haloween Minmei Title page, there's no real new art. It is literally a 7 page explanation/recap of what's happened in the last couple of chapters. Sigh.
