  1. you might want to also post the error.txt file. Supposedly the two are a pair. See if the lastest forceware works.
  2. Reflex would be something to do with your video card. What version video drivers are you using?
  3. I wouldn't expect Sierra to do anything, they're the ones that drove HW into the ground after all, lol. Well, let's see what we can do then. What's happening? Black screen? CTD? Blue screen? System specs?
  4. lol, k, back to basics then. first take a look at the relic forums here: click me!! It's a treasure trove of HW2 help related stuff. If the stuff listed there doesn't work then we'll see what we can do to help. Or you can also just ask uberjumper on the relic forums. Generally he knows more about HW and HW2 than any other person. Not trying to shove the problem to somebody else, but uberjumper will be able to help you get the game up and running faster
  5. Self explanatory.. you need admin privileges to install/run the game properly. I think... But usually if that warning pops up, then it's best to play as admin. Try to reinstall and play as admin and see if it works.
  6. I did that too, until that one mission where you had to protect the mothership from three or four different directions at once. Then again, I probably just suck, lol.
  7. Well, I'm probably going to spoil the whole thing for him by saying this... The computer's fleet size in the current mission is based on what you jumped out with in the last mission, and it's always tailored to make it an overwhelming fight, *based on what you had last mission*. So, if you end the mission with say.... two dreadnaughts, a carrier, and countless frigs and fighters/bombers, you'll be greeted in the next mission with eight enemy dreadnaughts, three carriers, and hundreds of smaller vessels. So imagine if you pulled a Tannhauser Gate in HW2 (ie capture each and every single ship in that sphere in HW1), you'll be looking at whatever you have x4.... fun fun.
  8. Most 2D and SHMUPS don't make it to the states, regardless of the system. The successes of Guilty Gear XX and Marvel v. Capcom are relative freaks of nature. In the meantime, I lament the demise of the R-Type series, although it did go out with a bang... Would be rather nice if Ikaruga could have been ported to PS2...
  9. Protip: Sell/scrap/reduce your Grand Fleet just a handful of frigates before each mission ends, otherwise you're in for a world of hurt...
  10. Well, OVA Eps. 5 & 6 just aired in Japan. So won't be long now...
  11. Could be worse, could be Ayumi Hamasaki... not that I don't like Ayumi, but comparatively, Utada's voice is a better match. Personally, I think it would be wonderful if the movie just opened up with Zankoku na Tenshi no Teze or even Tamashii no Rufuran. Who knows, maybe Yoko Takahashi's agent asked for too much?
  12. For me the problem isn't that the movie is dark. As said, it's a noir film, it's a given. The problem is that most any type of LCD based screens (or monitors in my case...) can't display that many levels of black, resulting in big black blobs. This happened to Blade Runner on my monitor, as well as Dark City.
  13. From your side? Not really... unless you rigged some sort of cat5 from his house to your router...
  14. wee! The ARX-8! It'll be a loooong time before we see that animated, considering how many novels there are from where the anime left off to when the ARX-8 appears... one monster of an AS though I tell ya.
  15. If the rules applied equally, no problem. When the CPU shoves me out of the way but I can't, then there's something wrong. Maybe I just suck at driving...
  16. This. My main beef with the GT series, or any other racing game in fact, is that ALL the CPU cars make that perfect run around the lap. They never deviate, never spin out, never accelerate or brake a little too much or too little around the corner... combined with no car damage in GT, this makes for very aggravating races. Imagine making that perfect swing around the turn only to have 2nd place ram into you as it makes its perfect swing, nudging you out of position... This was my main reason for playing nothing but Burnout these days... at least I can HURT them!
  17. Good lord, what's up with BSS and their ultra hi-res... my laptop barely has enough ponies to play the file... pity Anon seems to have dropped subbing...
  18. Not sure if this belongs here, but since it's an AA gun... I was watching Apollo 13 the other day and saw what appeared to be M45 Quadmounts with the guns stripped and equipped with cameras and other observation equipment. However I haven't been able to find any information on this. Would anybody happen to know more about it?
  19. Ep 4 raw is out, go nab it at the usual places. 28 Ep. 6 "Shin Densetsu", Oct. 26
  20. Okay, I guess that was a bit too esoteric... the summon name is Tou-Chao. Let's try... In the (once again) non-too-mainstream anime Detonator Orgun, what was the grand final attack used by Orgun to save earth?
  21. <Mr. Burns>Eeeeeeexcellent</Mr. Burns>
  22. I'm beginning to feel, for the first time, a faint glimmer of hope for FO3.
  23. In 3x3 Eyes, what is the name of the first summon that main character Yakumo learns? How much time allowed for each question?
