  1. doesnt the TV roy VF-1S grey instead of white? I know the figure isnt a TV roy.
  2. Isnt that a TV Roy? But the Fig doesnt look like it.
  3. The 1/48 line is done. Unless yamato has plans for 2-seater 1/48s (which wont happen unless Graham's contact tells him otherwise) It makes more economical sense that Yamato move over to the 1/60 line and continue. 1/60 v2 line is getting to be popular as it is anime accurate. For the record, I am happy with both lines but I am more partial to the 1/48s. As I stated before I like the realism in the 1/48. Anime accurate 1/60 v2 seems to be cartoony but hence why it is anime accurate. I pick up the 1/60s for the 2-seaters.
  4. Now that is a pretty site. EDIT: Spelling
  5. Correction. He was promo'd to have VF-1J. He was escorting Misa back to Earth. He got promoted and had flight prior to escorting Misa. He already went to VF-1J. He went from VF-1A to VF-1J to VF-1D and back to VF-1J as his wife got her own VF-1J.
  6. Godzilla

    Latest custom.

Kurt you are just the man. You never cease to amaze me. Again excellent work.
  7. Ok, I just got this game. I have a couple of questions: 1. I see there is a Grade of A thru D but I see I got some S. What is that all about? 2. How in the hell do you get the armors? 3. Is there guide that is translated for this? I figured out by doing process of elimination but it is damn annoying. 4. Any tips on beat hikaru better than a C grade? Thanks.
  8. Frankly, I think it is one person doing that kind of crap which therefore incites a discussion. IMHO, he should be banned for a week or so to be taught a lesson. There are many times I wanted to tell him to STFU in those for sale threads but I decided to stay out of it unless I was intending to buy. If I responded, it only makes it worse IMHO. I mean come on. Comments like "Dude, why are you selling?" or "maybe you shouldn't be selling at this current market" really irk me. To me: 1. None of your DAMN business. 2. Stop detracting from the thread. 3. STFU as you have no f-ing clue to what you are saying.
  9. Would everyone stop saying "bomba"? It gets old and annoying. Back on topic: I guess no word on making a TV version?

    yamato's next move

Bite your tongue. Retire the 1/48s? Permission to shoot this sissy SOB. If they were wrap it up on the 1/48s, I want the 2 acts of the minmay guards to end this line with a bang. As for the 1/60s, I will be done with it after I get the 2 seaters unless they get a Roy TV version.
  11. No no. It is turning into why I hate ppl who thinks 1/60s are so superior to 1/48s. *COUGH* AgentGHQ *COUGH* Granted 1/60s are good and all but the arm shoulder piece breaking off pretty much got me rethinking twice. Macrossman hit the nail on the head. I think 1/48s have a more real world feel vs slightly goofy 1/60.
  12. Hehe good luck. I have a Super Stealth Strike combo pack for sale. Too bad I want $225 for it.
  13. I assume you are talking about 1/60v2 that is now coming out. If so, I will continue with that assumption. I prefer the 1/48 because in my eye it is perfect (as SGT Slaughter said in the 1986 GIJOE movie) hands down. When I first saw it, I already had the 1/60v1 and said those were expensive and proceeded to get the 1/60s. Then the low vis 1/48 came out. I was completely in awe and said if I were to get a 1/48 this would be the one. That decision proved costly as I got me 10 of those damn LVs cost me avg $140 per LV where I paid highest $275 and lowest $100. Then it went down hill from there. As for the 1/60v2, I bought 2 Strike VF-1S Roy in which one was for me and one was for a friend. I admit they nice, it does not have the same appeal as the 1/48. I dont know why, but they seem to be to "rounded". Let me explain further: the 1/48 appeal to me seems to be more realistic. What do I mean "realistic"? To the anime realistic? The answer is no. I mean realistic to the real world of today as placing beside it against the warplanes of today say the F-14 Tomcat. 1/60v2 has the anime feeling (too bubbly look I guess?) but the appeal is not there. I mean that is good they try to make it anime compliant but the 1/48 been stuck with me since 2003. However, the big downer was the 1/60 having the shoulder tab break/crack. I didnt give it a 2nd thought till my friend called me up and said it was broken and to check mine. I did and thankfully it didnt (yet). The pisser would be that had I chosen the box that had the valk broken, it would piss me off and completely have me sticking to the 1/48s. Still I am a bit apprehensive on picking up the 1/60v2 but since the 2 seaters are only for the 1/60v2, I will pick up the 2 seaters. I am more annoyed than happy about it. If they did it for the 1/48, I would only buy the 1/60v2 VF-1S Max period and preserve my 1/48 collection. The 1/60 has quality issues especially the shoulder tabs despite assurances from Yamato and the members here say it is only limited. I dont understand that ppl say the 1/48 has QC issues since the paint is off, smudged, etc but yet fanboys here on the boards (yes I calling you 1/60v2 fanboys) says the 1/60v2 is perfect. I have yet to have structural integrity breached on a 1/48 and let me tell you I own a lot of them. I opened a lot them to inspect them and to me, hands down, the 1/48 is just rock solid. You can agree or disagree. It is my preference. Now if they released the 1/60v2 earlier as their true toy, I think I would have limited myself on the 1/48s. I guess it is in all the timing. EDIT: I added more since I feel it needed more explaining.
  14. Actually, I am selling 1 1/48s (Super Strike) and 2 1/60s. I am selling the MPCs, extra 25th Joes, other anime stuff like and extra TF MPs I have 3 monsters as I sold 3 in the past and likely sell 1 more for a right price. 1/60v2 dont impress me. Yes I bought 1 and will likely buy a few like the VF-1S Max as my 1/60 Milla Qrau is lonely. And I will get 2 seaters like the VF-1D, VT-1 Ostrich, VE-1 Funny Chinese and the virgin road but I wont go crazy like I did with my 1/48s. I have at least 120 of the 1/48s. I need to update the siggy as I got 2 vf-1A tv max. Debating on getting 1 or 2 VF-1A TV Kakazaki.
  15. you mean this one? Godzilla's collection
  16. Man O Man! I think my wallet just screamed! Holy hell. Not asking for too much, I wish they did a TV version. Still I am happy to see this come out.
  17. Still looking for the Minmay shower scene figure.
  18. Take the plunge already. I bought 2. Sheesh. No brainer here. Damn someone got their defender already. Damn. Mine hasnt shown up yet.
  19. Well I am happy to see the 1/48s make a small comeback. If they make weathered versions of these, I am out. I am quite happy with what I have.
  20. Wow. I missed alot. I guess I have been spending too much on the GI Joe boards. Anyways... I am a staunch Yamato supporter where I have been accused of being a yamato fanboy. Yes I know some of theirs toys have issues like paint, stress marks, crookedness, etc... BUT THIS? Yamato has been making solid products like the yf-19, yf-21 and the destroids but good lord the hinge breaks on the vf-1 1/60 v2.0? I havent experienced it but I was so close to getting one that was broken. It was 50/50 shot and I lucked out as VK and I went in on getting the Roy. I didnt open them and randomly choose one to give to VK. VK was pissed when he got as he opened it and he told me to check mine. Mine was ok. upon closer inspection I can see why it breaks. That pin is too big where there is not enough support for it with the surrounding piece. What was yamato thinking? And ppl here complained that the 1/48s would break if you sneezed? I think that statement needs to be applied to the 1/60 v2.0. I can see that piece could break based how little material holds the pin even though mine has not broke as of yet. Looking at their history with macross prior to 1/60 v2.0: 1/60 v1.0 -Transformation sucks but solid as a rock. 1/48 -transformation ruled and solid as a rock (Some would disagree since the bp8 issue but I havent encountered any so far knock on wood since I have so many but I havent opened all mine yet) minor paint smearing though. 1/100 Monster - no complaints. 1/60 VF-0S -transformation was ok. 1/60 VF-0A -Widely reported disintegration of the shoulders due to material. No real structural flaw. 1/60 SV-51 Ivanov -loosey goosey wings. Fixed with Nora's release 1/60 YF-19 -Solid but maybe too solid as it was hard to transform leaving stress marks with crooked gunpod position and rear landing gears. All were addressed in 2nd release and Combo pack release. 1/60 YF-21 -Solid no real issues. (correct me if I am wrong) Now this? The release where everyone is anticipating for the 2-seaters to be included where it can be possibly done and done right. They say no one reported any issues in Japan? Nothing will change except QC will pay more closely attention? Are you joking? Sounds like corporate smokescreen or ppl in Japan dont play with the valks. This is a design issue. Pin is to big or you need more material to structural hold it or better material. I am holding off despite the highly anticipated valks that could not be made as 1/48s will be in this series. We are paying prices 3/4 or closer to the price of a 1/48 only to get something that is inferior in design of not only the 1/48 but 1/60 v1.0 as well? I am sure most do not share my opinion but it is my opinion nonetheless.
  21. Damn that weathering looks good Sebastian.
  22. I bought me the F-22. I like it. I wasnt sure I wanted it in the first place but man when one of those hisstank guys customized it, I was sold.
  23. Holy crap. Someone on ebay wants it for $529. How much did you pay for yours? Ebay
