Maybe you meant 22? As for the 19...small delay...my compressor died a slow painful death...new one is on the way...19 display to come soon afterwards...perhaps by the weekend. In terms of these kits...there have been a lot of questions about pricing...so here is the scoop. Both kits are slightly different from the originals: The YF21 will have a solid canopy with a vacumformed dome. The original was all clear, but the recasts people have all seem to have messed up canopys (not sure why, but they all are "soft" and yellowed. The 21 landing gear is resin with a solid metal core. This peserved the detail, but should make the gear strong enough to hold the plane. The YF19 wings have been thickened. The originals (or the recasts of the originals we recieved) are as thin as the 1/72 scale kit...and warp. (again, I have heard a couple members who asked for just wings because of this problem) So, we have thickened the wings and will cast them with a firmer resin for rigidity. The landing gear will be done like the 21 with a metal core. The 19 canaopy is vacuum formed. Additionally, the 19 had a lot of small surface flaws that have been cleaned up, with panel lines re-etched. The kits will both come without decals. Anasazi has offered to make 3 decal sets available. 1 for the standard 19, 1 for the 21, and 1 for the Advanced Valkyrie Series. I dont know the final price on these, but I think he said $5 a set. These decals will be much better then the ClubM originals...which were basically just some kites. I'm expecting to hear from Devin soon...we will get him kits to work with, and he will get to them when his schedule permits....but suffice to say they are coming and will be available. As for pricing...Mike and I won't be doing a ton of these...but we would like to make a few available for MW members. It looks like they will be $85 a kit (not including S+H) or both kits for the one time bargain price of $155. Anyways...if your still interested drop me a PM...we will get pictures up of the 19 this weekend and probably start to wrap up some kits soon afterwards. Ill make a list of interested parties and we will go from there.

I'm a proud owner of: 1) 1-72 ClubM/YS VT1 2) 1-72 Orange Collection VT1 3) 1-72 Hasegawa VT1 I'm happy to have all three....and all three are different. To me, the Hasegawa looks the most like a real air/space craft. Im not an astronaut, and it may not be 100% cannon, but Hase's knack for adding tons of rivits, panel lines, and such shows through. The Club M is also extremely nice. It holds more to the lineart without adding lots of extra lines. I heard someone once say it looks a little more like the cartoon...and thats probably accurate. The Orange Collection has lots of extra details added that i thought were neat...like an excellent cockpit detail setup. I would be happy to take pictures of all three if it would help. (none are built...but they will be someday) Also...for what its worth...I paid normal price for the Hase....I paid somehting like $50-$75 for the Club M, and I paid a similar price (maybe a bit more ) for the Orange Collection. It's been a while...so i could be off, but I know I didn't pay close to $150. I'm not saying it's not worth that...worth is in the eye of the buyer..Im just sharing what I paid. (I think a ClubMYS VT went unbought on Ebay not long ago at a $99.99 start. ) If I only had $100 I would buy 3 Hase varients over 1 ClubM/OC...but if you are a big VT fan the kits are very cool and each is unique.

Can't wait! The series was great!

THAT IS EXCELLENT!!!

I use the WMCheng method...Acrylic base coat...gloss clear coat...oil paints (in tube from paint store...not enamel) thinned with oderless thinner...let dry...clean....dull or semigloss coat.

This project has lagged because of me...both because of unforseen problems (computers, compressors, and complications) and just my lack of time...but I have all the pieces for a couple 19's basically done. Ill do a quick build up tomorrow and Tuesday (no clean...just slap one together) and take some pictures...Im shooting to have pictures and final pricing up on Weds. The kit itself is very cool! Like the 21 very large and heavy ( a lot of resin! ) ...but the ship itself is just so smooth...I have all my Yammie 1/48's together hanging and sitting on shelves in one section of my room...I can't wait to add a 19 and 21 streaking through!

Very very nice Mike! 19's no far behind....pictures soon.

another (lesser) point is time and materials....many of the recasters do this in their spare time in a smaller work area. Supplies and materials (and time ) needed to work with resin recasts are tiny compared to what it would take to run and manage a professional level injection machine and create the metal root molds needed for it. This is also not the mention fumes, and clean-up.

sure would be cool if they did....
-
I had a thought about what you could use for a scale damper. The little telescopic pins used on wristwatch bands. Thats an awesome idea....okay...Im on it. THANKS!
-
Yes...but Im not sure how....thats one I have been puzzling. The landing gear are a combination of parts from an F-14, Sr71, and F18 kit...the bay and doors are scratch built.
-
already in process....man...we need to do something nice for Rob....
-
For what its worth...$75 = $7.50 per figure. You can snag individuals on Ebay. MW, and elsewhere for about $9-$15 a piece while they are out. So...your paying up to more then 100% of the cost...but your getting the ones you want. I wanted one of each, so it made sense to buy the set...now...for set 1...if you waited (like me) your watching the Miinmeis and Hikarus go for twice that (and more) and kicking yourself. Also...while my wife says they are gay (as am I for collecting them I guess) (not that there is anything wrong with that! ) I think they are neat. Nicely painted, and fun....nice addition to my shelves for sure. ..I will say I was a little disapointed in Roys hair...he may end up wearing a helmet mostly...

nope. man...what ever happend to "dont tell me know...tell me how?!?! " How about flying to Japan and making some friends with Yamato insiders?!?! Jeesh! LOL...oh well...hope it doesnt break the bank. I'm gonna guess $95...who cares to guess with me?
-
so...do we have the slightest clue on costs?
-
I know you have been looking for these...good luck...hope you get the good ones...let us know!

Any plans on how each of the 5 will be painted? Custom designs, or will you use the DYRL or Macross standards? VF1A, S, J, D, etc? I can't wait to see all 5 "flying"!
