  1. Congrats to all who got their YF-29... @ultraman zoffy - very nice trio of valks there... The more i see the YF-29 the more i'm leaning towards the YF-29 > VF-25 club. I have to watch the movie again and see it in action. I love the classic look of the 25 but its like when i first watched Mac+ and saw the YF-19... I was totally blown away by the coolness and advanced look of the 19. Really, the only thing holding the 29 back is the color scheme... but it's starting to grow on me.
  2. Everything's brand spankin' new... Very nice. But i'm surprised that they made the VF-1S's visor dark again. The original releases has a more transparent green color.
  3. The HK online store i mentioned also put up the VF-25G up on their site, but like HLJ, it's at 'no stock' or 'order stop'... But yeah, this is scewed up. They're creating a frenzy by putting it up but won't take preorders coz of "unstable supply." Isn't the purpose of having preorders to guage the demand??? I swear, Bandai is fcking w/ me and the rest of the people who bash their Tamashii Limited sales strategy.
  4. I got an email from a HK online store i ocassionaly get stuff and preorder from that said that they are not going to accept preorders for the VF-25G and to just check back when the product becomes available. So it's possible that you guys are camping out for nothing and will be camping out again on September for a mad dash at getting a VF-25G. F U Bandai!
  5. For me i prefer it in fighter mode coz there's just too much on its back in both battroid and GERWALK mode. Which is the reason why i passed on this the first time around... Plus i was hoping for a better color scheme. I like that its nice and sleek in f-mode w/out any kibble. The MacF DX valk that i really didn't connect w/ is the VF-27. I thought i'd grow to like it since i'm fond of my SV-51 Nora. At least Nora's hot compared to a freak flying a hot pink plane. Plus it looked dated when i saw a pic of the 27 beside the 29 and the renewals. After owning it for 2 years, i sold my DX VF-27 so i could get a YF-29. Good thing i was able to make a little profit from the sale since the YF-29 is damned expensive.
  6. Still waiting for Yamato to announce they'll sell these option parts separately. Prices now are just too much for me esp. when compared to how much i got most my VF-1s 2-4 years back. Maybe Graham would be kind enough to suggest this to Yamato. I only really need a couple more side and neck covers... Ok either way if the seats are included or not since i already have the new VF-1D and its the only valk i care to display with those option seat parts.
  7. Yeah, me too. Good thing there's that Tron show and Legend of Korra...
  8. Just finished watching the first ep. Looks very promising. I'll definitely be following this series. I hope we get to see Olivia Wilde's character and it'll resemble her just like how Flynn/CLU resembles Jeff Bridges.
  9. Just got my YF-29 ... Aside from being a little bit dirty(oil) and some light scratches on the wings, its all good. Checked the wing and crotch hinges and everything seems to be ok. With the way the price of the YF-29 keeps on going up, i'm gonna keep this pristine and in fighter mode. Now to figure out how to get a VF-25G...
  10. i finally get to see your collection. Very nice set-up! Reitarded na reitarded... If that's pathetic then my collection is crap! Awesome cramped display... Next only to frogze insane display (and maybe also ruski's)...
  11. Yeah, more pics of your collection! That's a pretty funky pose you did for your 25F ...and it's amazing how the VF-0S dwarfs the 25s.
  12. Haha, QFT... this is exactly what i'm thinking. i've been holding out but have my sights on the 17D, 19P and VF-4 (if i'll like the scheme and if i can afford it)... I just want this 25G after i get my 29 next week, then i'm done (unless a CF 171 comes along). I don't think i'll even bother with the super packs.
  13. scalpers got 'em. ... time to preorder at ishop2go.
  14. yeah +1 for the CF if i'm ever going to get a 171. i'm trying to stay away from white valks from now on...
  15. thanks for the replies about the price... the local seller where i made a tentative preorder from gave me some BS about having to increase the price a little coz of the difficulty to acquire the YF-29 due to the supply shortage. I guess i'll go ahead and get it since the price is pretty much the same as everywhere else (approx. $216 converted from our local currency). The one's who got in on Amiami's preorder probably got the best deal, but i just can't see myself ordering online anymore since our local customs are very strict nowadays... last order i made from HLJ i got hit with a $20 tax charge. ...still, anybody who got a YF-29 with this reissue run should count themselves lucky since this is probably the last time this is going to be produced... unless Bandai makes Ozma's YF-29 (that would probably be even harder to acquire at MSRP). i'd love to hear what you have to say about the DX VF-27 now.
  16. Looks good. This is the one that i've been waiting for to partner w/ my armored Klan. This'll be my first v.2 too... if Bandai stops with the fcuk ups...
  17. Just curious... How much are you guys paying for this YF-29 reissue (including s/h)?
  18. it's been a while since i bought anything Macross and i actually sold off a few in the last year. This is the first time in months i've paid any attention to my toys, so might as well take a pic of my Macross TV collection since i just got an updated VF-1D w/c i've been waiting for for a few years now. (also posted pic of my DYRL collection i posted a while back). ...still haven't painted my Fan Racer, haha
  19. oh, and one more thing, the neck looks so much better with the updated crotch... not too much collar showing (for those who bitch about the head placement of the v.2 VF-1s being grossly lineart inaccurate )
  20. Easy enough to slide in, but a real pain to take out... And because it was difficult to take out, scratching the paint off of the metal hinge was more likely to happen.
  21. ^ yup, shoulders are good, crotch is updated and canopy isn't tinted. I was hoping that the visors on the head would be a brighter green just like on the TV 1S Focker that i have. As for my own question... The seats from the option parts are glued so you can't have the single seat config. popping out of the neck of the 1D... Gotta get that from one of the single-seater reissues w/ option parts.
  22. Hehe, yep. I just took a chance too and dropped by the store... With so much inventory there, its better to check their stocks yourself. Its great that they restocked and you got one since its sold out everywhere else or prices are jacked up. I hope they reissue Hikaru's VF-1A (w/ option parts) since that's the only DYRL valk i want that i haven't gotten yet.
  23. Congrats on your first 2-seater vince... Got mine too a few days ago from GT Alabang. The option parts are pretty cool.
  24. ever since Yamato updated the crotch attachment for their 1/60 VF-1s i've been waiting for an updated VF-1D, so technically I didn't double-dip ... plus all my other TV VF-1s have the updated crotch. The option parts that are included are a definite plus since you could only previously get these as a Wonderfest exclusive. I too would only get any of these new VF-1s (where's the Stealth!) IF they came with the option parts... and i won't be double-dipping on any of the other re-issues w/ option parts esp. since i got most of my standalone VF-1s for $90 or less. it's a shame it took Yamato 4 years to include the side and neck covers plus the seats... something that we wanted from the start.
