For all we know this whole HG ban thing on japanese macross items could be just a rumor... There no solid evidence to support this... If HG really was able to ban macross items in the US you'd think every website would participate in this effort but that is not the case...

The whole HG rights is up in the air ne way... and no judge really thinks its worth the time and effort to settle the case... That's why things are the way they are... Japan doesn't even have a big market outside of asia for macross goods ne way so it is of no consequence to either party really. I can't imagine that HG is making a ton of money off of the franchise ne way.

Anyone purchased the improved Kahen Senshi Z Gundam ? Just to know the difference between this one and the old version.

Well I have the original kahen senshi Z gundam and from what I can tell its basically the same as the old version... It still has problems with the legs regarding stability and its still hard to get in a good pose without falling off the shelf.

Its just a reissue from what I hear... It didn't really have ne improvements from the original.

The preview looks ok but I was expecting the gfx to blow me away like gears of war did... They don't look bad but I'm a little disapointed... I guess it can't be helped the game was so hyped up that everybody was expecting something groundbreaking.

Ummm yeh. Bandai mentioned this last year that their kits would be getting more expensive. It doesn't look like things are going down either. And considering their costs went up followed by weak demand due to the the way things are economically, I don't expect them to go down either.

Yeah prices for MG's have went up almost double from prices in 2005... I guess ill be getting out of this hobby for the foreseeable future... only kits that I really like ill buy... ill have to settle for GFF or HCM pros if I want a decent detailed ms...

I never found ne thing wrong with polycaps except for when they get loose at the joints after a little too much posing... I haven't built any gunpla in over a year but this kit might make me get into it again...

IMO gundam kits are becoming too expensive lately... and if you want to paint it and make it look nice you have to invest 500 to 1000 dollars in materials if your a professional... This kit is gonna take alot of work to make it look good, But if you have the time and the funds for this hobby id say go for it...

I see ppl wondering why the first releases of the dx chogokin line won't come with stands... The explanation is simple really... If they can charge you for the figure and then release a set with a stand or sell a high quality stand altogether they can make a huge profit rather than including a stand with the DX toy...

Yamato did it with most of their valks... I guess bandai sees this as a good opportunity to cash in on ppl paying extra for accessories... I mean really did we need the expensive 50 dollar metal stands that yamato was selling when most ppl use the laftoys flexidisplay stand just fine? I think not but hey that's capitalism for ya.

Both systems have their good points... but I cant say home is one of them... Its not really up to par with what was promised 2 years ago... sony is also hurting for money atm and by not charging a monthly fee for online is putting alot of strain on sony's bank account. Id gladly pay 5 dollars a month so that sony can recoup their losses and provide much better online service than whats out now... its a small price to pay really.

Eugimon it isn't worth wasting your time with fanboys... Especially that of the PS3 crowd... They just can't seem to accept that the ps3 has many flaws and shortcomings... and when someone brings them to light they feel they have to justify their purchase of a ps3...

If you ask me I think ppl like this are insecure about their purchase of a PS3 and therefore have to defend it... I don't see xbots going apeshit about the RROD issue. They can accept that and get over it. Some ppl just need to grow up and stop defending sony as if sony gives them their paycheck...

Just thought id bump this thread as no one has discussed gundam figures in a while... All I'm seeing now are more figures for gundam 00 but the designs aren't as appealing to me as some of the UC designs.

I guess im more of an ol'skool gundam fan as these new figures appear to be all the rage lately... I wish they would make an MG of avalanche exia... Some ppl say it has too many attachments but it reminds me of the super gundam mk. II from zeta gundam which I thought looked pretty cool.

If BOS is hostile towards you, does that mean you can never complete the main quest?

hmm... thats a hard question to answer... maybe but ive never tried it so I don't know... I think that's one of the major flaws this game may have... if you piss off a certain faction integral to the story you may not be able to complete the game.

Well all companies are greedy to a degree... The whole point is to charge more for an item than what it costs to make at the highest percentile possible... They're not charity organizations...

Yamato although having lots of experience is still a relatively small company that manufactures niche products... Sure the yamato valks may be a little overpriced but overall they are worth the money as they are usually very good quality figures... I could understand why some ppl are upset though especially when you get a lemon that you can't replace.

I think the price for the new 1/60 v2 is fair although it wouldn't hurt if they charged less for them... You get a lot for your money including the fast packs. Bandai seems to be giving us the better deal now with the macross F valks as it has plenty of diecast and seems to be a more sturdy toy than any yamato ever would be.

But until I actually have one of bandai's DX chogokins in my hands im keeping my fingers crossed... Hopefully it isn't all that chunky like some ppl say it is.

The only fault with the PS3 is that this happens to be the most @ss backwards video game generation to date, with U.S. publishers putting out the most product. As far as me goes, since I'm not big on FPS, I don't really see much reason in having a 360. The only exclusive games to date I'd want would be Katamari & Ace Combat 6.

Stranger yet still, perhaps because of the nature of the Japanese market, I've been getting a lot more handheld than console games, my PSP & NDS libraries easily dwarf my PS3 library. I mean hell, who wouldn't kill for a PS3 incarnation of Macross Ace Frontier, all it needs is a graphics overhaul & more content. Online multiplayer? Someone run over to Bamco & make them do it!

Man, PS3 is getting its ass kicked in sales lately. They really need to do a price-drop because Home definitely isn't going to sell systems, and the fact that 1) it has a built in Blu-Ray player, and 2) you don't have to pay to play online, hasn't seemed to sink in with consumers that this thing is actually a pretty good deal.

Well I think now that the truth is out about the PS3 and its architechure and how many limitations it has compared to other systems has become apparent... Many ppl just don't like the PS3 period. Everyone that once had faith in sony because of the success of ps2 has now fated... Alot of ppl I know that used to want a ps3 no longer want it, and that's mainly because of a lack of good games or software for it for the longest time...

While I myself have a PS3 and I still think its a good system many ppl dont think that way... The lack of games and software out there to support the PS3 at launch has turned a lot of ppl away from the ps3 unfortunately. The cost is another thing that's still prohibitive for the ps3... Its still the most expensive next gen system out there and most ppl dont see the benefit of owning it since most ps3 games are on 360 as well.

I still like my ps3 inspite of its short comings... it has some good exclusives that I like but most of the time it sits on my desk collecting dust... Its a shame but I myself am a little dissapointed with the ps3...

I have ordered some things from the guy myself and he does have good service... My packages usually arrive with 3 days. Id say go for it. I got my vf-0A shin with ghost from the guy and had no problems.

I downloaded to torrent for the h264 file of ms igloo 2 and it doesn't run well at all... The video feed is ok but the sound stutters in and out and I don't know how to fix it... Anybody have an idea?

What makes you think konami wouldn't make MGS 4 for xbox 360?. Xbox is more than capable of running a game like mgs 4... Besides alot of jrpgs are two dvds or more and they're longer games at that. I'm sure they have the capability to port the game to the xbox 360... All you need is a team of dedicated programmers devoted to coding the game for xbox 360 and massively compressing data onto two discs... Im sure it'll work.

Konami has also expressed their wish to port the game over to another system to recoop the massive development cost of the game. Kojima may not want things to go that way but the mgs property is not his... It's konami and they will do what they want with it.

I got a beta invite for home and although I know its in its beta stage I'm not all that impressed... The graphics are kinda meh... lack of textures and things to do as well... All I ever see on the big screens in the lobby is advertisements for socom confrontation which isn't all that great of a title... The cool thing is you can voice chat with anyone near you as long as you have a mic... But a lot of features that were promised like trophy decoration and customizing your own place are non existent... IMO this chat portal needs a lot more work to meet its goals...

Well I haven't seen ne thing anime wise since I last saw macross F... I might watch MS Igloo soon as there is a lot of hype about that and its not too long of a series.... Im burnt out of gundam otherwise and will not watch 00 ne time soon... If there is something good that's worth watching ill check it out but there's not that many good anime out there lately.

Well im not ashamed to say that I do have quite a bit of old star wars toys from back when I was a young lad... They just sit in my closet now collecting dust but they're not really worth ne thing ne way.... I've yet to get rid of them or give them away as I have a childhood attachment to those figures... but I haven't bought any star wars toy in years... The toys for the prequal movies didn't move me too much... Although they had more articulation they seemed rather cheaply made compared to the POTF or POTJ line. I know there are far better figures out there now but my new love is collecting valks and gunpla which I think are much cooler now.

well... id much prefer metal joints as opposed to plastic ones... I'm always afraid to transform my yamato valks because if I put too much stress on a joint it'll snap.

Wow alot of you guys put my little collection to shame... but I prefer quality rather than quantity... Besides I don't have enough room for all that in my house... with the tightening economy im also spending less on figures in general... Now I collect cheap transformers and hcm pros and that seems to satisfy me for now... blah my last big expenditure this year is gonna be those bandai DX Macross F chogokins... That put a big hole in my wallet soon...

I downloaded the new xbox experience and personally I feel its a step in the right direction... the ability to now install some 360 games on the HDD is a big plus... Some games need that feature to reduce loading times and chopping... this happens to be the case with the last remnant atm... The game is good but it drops to 25-20 frames sometimes on a huge cutscene or battle. Problem is I don't feel like buying a 99 gb hd so I can install my games... the least microsoft could do is give you a discount or something...

Keeping track of your money is no easy task. It's very easy to overspend thinking you'll make money back quicker than you actually do. I've had money come and go from my account without knowing where it went or how it got there.

Some japanese collectibles are just insanely priced, like some of the SHE ones(far too fragile to justify the cost), and the Fewture Ex Gohkin Getter Robo figures(just extra detailes SoCs really).

Well I have to wholeheartedly agree on that point... While the limited availability and quality of design of collectibles from CMS corp, maxfactory, and studio halfeye are nice... I think they are waay too overpriced and cost prohibitive to make them a worthy purchase... especially in this shaky economy were in atm.

I usually buy from big name companies like bandai and yamato as I get more bang for the buck and an overall better quality figure.

After getting the T-51B power armour, I've collected all the power armours available in the game. I feel they nerfed the armours so much that they aren't really worth using anymore. (Not that the game isn't too easy after level 20 anyway). Its illogical that the Str bonus is not carried to all variants of the power armour. The Enclave power armour is supposedly better than the BoS ones but it only has a lower STR and AGI bonus/penalty despite the BoS calling them "Oh they are soooo advanced than our own". In FO2, i believe the APOs were +4 to STR.

The T-51B was disappointing since it only gave you RAD protection and a high DR....but no STR bonuses nor AGI Penalties. Thus, the best armours in the game for me are the Tesla Armour and the Ranger Combat Armour. I don't see any use for any other type of power armour. The medic one was amusing but not that practical.

You feel that they nerfed the power armor? lol IMO the power armor is stronger than it should be! I was playing the game on hard mode near the end of my quest when I got the BOS armor and I was still able to take alot of hits!

I dunno I guess since im so used to oblivion and how to level your character the game seemed a bit too easy for me in general... Although you can change the difficulty lvl anytime you want... My next playthrough will be on hard mode from the start IMO the power armor is good enough the way it is... the DR gives better hit protection and the power armors have some of the highest that all that counts really... but if you like using alot of plasma and energy weps then the tesla armor is the best you can get...
