I know.. about 4 years ago I bought a yellowed jetfire for customing and thought I got a great deal when I paid $US40. Then I had to buy paints, and a custom head from Chris Baretta and then I had to spend a week customising it into a cannon fodder. And there it was in Kanto Hobby for 20 bucks!

Guppy's MW Shopathon Encore Special??? Good lord! Where does he get the money? Selling babies on the blackmarket? Kangaroo testicles? Koala ears? What?! So, does he get a special t-shirt? Unfortunately kangaroo balls aren't worth much here! I would have to catch thouands! I spent my entire daily food allowance for the 10 days (ie, per diems) on toys! mwa ha ha.. but the HK$18 (about US$2.50) bowls of noodles in those little shops tasted great! And my special t-shirt should say "FOOL" ..and my wife's t-shirt would read "My husband went to hong kong and all he got me was this lousy t-shirt because he spent our life savings on toys" NEova - nup, don't work for airlines, but because of a massive coincidence I went back to hong kong a month after the shopathon for work - we filmed the disney on Ice show there as well as stuff on hong kong for the kids disney show I work on. well, the word 'work' in this context is up for interpretation. It was a pretty easy one.

I bought this set on my high-octane mini shopathon on saturday with Graham (thanks for taking me all those places I forgot about! ) It's a really nice set - but the 1S's gun pod is SO out of proportion! (the one on the left in the first pic) It's about as big as it is! The tomahawk and the super battroid are really nice.

Good idea! Because when I want to find a custom I remeber was really good I have to find it through the 'search' function. And if there's a place I can show off a custom it would motivate me to finish them quicker!

I got the whole manga series on cd and I've read the first 3 volumes. Man, it is SO much nastier, bloodier and darker than the anime. It would be banned from everywhere if they made it like the manga! But it's really cool to read the full story. Keep me posted on the lasted news on the new series!!

This will make me go and buy a dvd burner - so I can edit my own version. Where han shoots first and he doesn't talk to a badly cgi'd jabba in ANH, and without the dreadful 5 minute musical extravaganza in jabba's palace in ROTJ.

Something's missing alright, but it's not an episode... Since obviously you don't get it, read my explanation earlier in the thread. Yeah, I realised there was no more eps. I don't think it had a bad ending - it simply didn't have one at all. It follows the manga to half way through and leaves the story there, presumably to finish off when the manga's finised. At least a partial tie-up would have been good - SPOILER!! the climax has the hero down for the count watching his closest friend betraying the Hawks, raping the woman he loves and ushering in an new age of evil and generally nasty stuff. That's all fine. I don't need eveything spoon fed to me. But we really needed to see how if he survived that encounter to wind up in the old man's hut with his new arm and sword ready for his big quest for revenge. I actually enjoyed the way its ending was the first episode. And supporting characters like Zoddo, the princess, king, etc (I think that's his name) needed a wrap up too but they just disappeared.

Just digging up an old thread rather than starting a new one.. I just bought a CD with all 26 volumes done as scanslations, which are really well done - I can't wait 2 years for Dark Horse to catch up releasing the manga as trade paperbacks! But does anyone know where you can download manga scanslations from? As there are few more volumes to go I'd like to know how the series ends! And a second TV series would be great. The first one had no ending - it was prett obvious to me that the story was only halfway through. At first I thought my dvd was missing the final episode.

all I know is Hugh has big hair. I wonder if Tom Waits will make a cameo..?

But with all those removable parts, this toy reminds me of LEGO! just kidding. I can't wait for it to be released. I did the lancer kit. but it didn't look nearly as good! I took a tip off a MW'er and filled the figure's feet with small heavy metal parts because of the backpack being so heavy. It really helps to balance it so it can stand without support.

sorry.. I abbreviated out of laziness not moral high standards! I've got a few toynami toys and I love robotech so I'm pointing the angry finger at this toy in particular, not toynami. I think I'm ranting because of the price. If it was 30 bucks I would get them, but not at 80. I'll wait for the price cuts.

hwo cna yo compare them. I liek thsi sculpt. fi you dont; like ti dont; buy it. teh sculpt is fine. I haev th eodl gakken alpha. thsi si much better. also why dont; youw ait unitlit come sout first? The sculpt is bad beacuse is it a straight rip-off of the IMAI kit, and add to that the nose and cockpit sculpt which looks like a blind amputee did it. It's 2004, not 1985. The MPC prime shows that with effort you can make a toy that is jaw-droppingly amazing. However, I could live with the above problems, but when you factor in the excessive price and the small size of the toy it spells crap. I have the super posable alphas and I think they are pretty cool. But I only paid $5 each for them. How can they charge 80 bucks?!?

awful, awful sculpt. I think it looks fine in battroid but in fighter mode it looks like an old matchbox toy.and 80 bucks?? hehe. I hate the nose and the big bubble cockpit the most. I am sure everyone is thinking the same thing as me: 'I'll get the tread because there is no tread toy out there (the lansay doesn't count because I haven't won the lottery)'. But, if this P.O.C. doesn't sell there won't be one. <_
