  1. Seems the Funhobby Blue Destiny Unit 1 has been released, and it's a mixed bag.

    Pros:
    Decent paint job and tampo
    Good articulation
    Lots of diecast
    Decent molding
Fun gimmicks (dual LED in head, Li-ion battery with micro usb charging, integrated hidden buttons, EXAM voice etc)

    Cons:
A little bit floppy legs at the hip joint and feet (reported to be getting fixed for the 2nd round release)
Noticeable sprue marks (on the front of cheek plate on the head!).
Very plain molding of some parts (those CIW on the chest look terrible)
Mistake on the opening hatch (different to manual LOL)
Very plain diecast design on some parts

A little bit too expensive with that amount of negatives for me.

I'd love a 3rd party Powered GM from 0083. I love that thing! It's so beefy!

    <3 GMs!

The moshow is base on Bandai’s perfect grade.   While this metal build ver seem to be base on the plainer anime look but was then given the MB stylize touch.  Its gives a more Sharp flat angle look that is growing on me more and more.

if you are looking to get some 1/72 moshow sword + laucher set , hobbymission have them for $110 for the 2 pack set.   Free shipping to usa, and $3 more for other countries.

    http://www.hobbymission.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=104&product_id=501

I also thought the Moshow was based on the PG, but I compared to directly to my friend's PG, and there are lots of differences. At first glance yes it looks like a smaller PG, but closer inspections reveals many unique design choices in the 1/72.

Looking at the review from hacchaka, I actually prefer the look of the MG in the comparison photo. the proportions just look better. It all comes back to the exaggerated skirt design.

Won't be surprised to see Bandai release a more brighter blue Tamashii Event version like the Strike Freedom next time. Anyone else thing MB Strike is very dark in the blue parts? It doesn't balance will with the bright red and gold/yellow parts. Also prefer they kept the yellow parts yellow and not chrome/gold (V fin example).

I did see that right after I posted and started looking for MoShow 1/72 Strike again. Seems overpriced compared to Aliexpress. Also since I can't source anymore decently priced 1/72 "Mecha Worriors" I probbaly wouldn't invest in the extra packs without something to put them on. :p

Strange that gundam model center is not selling the packs.

  3. FYI the eBay coupon can also be used by Aussies, but you need to change your account region to US, find the item you want to buy on the AU site, then change the URL to just .com, proceed through the checkout (apply to code) and ship to your AU address. Once your purchase is complete you can revert your account back to AU region. There seems to be some limitations though. If your account was created on the AU site, then this work around won't work. If you created your account on the US site, then it will work. Lucky my eBay account was created before AU site existed (but that also comes with it's own set of set backs). :p

Used the coupon to buy some wireless earbuds and saved ~$40! :D

  4. Look at those beautifully deep panel lines that Yamato used to do. The Arcadia 1/60 panel lines are so shallow now, they are hardly noticeable from a distance and also harder to ink the panel lines. It's one of the things I prefer on the Bandai molds - more pronounced panel lines. It maybe less realistic, but because it is a scaled model, the deeper panel lines create a much more dynamic look when viewed from further away.

  5. Prediction: Next P Bandai exclusive will be Skygrasper with Sword and Launcher striker packs.

    Would like to see:
Metal Build Strike Noir and Rouge IWSP

I would not be surprised if Bandai release Tamashii Event exclusive Perfect Strike. :o

Although if they are all priced at ¥24,000 I really can't afford that kind of investment.

Anyone here own the GFFN Aile Strike Gundam? Thinking of picking it up. How does it compare to older Fix Figuration releases?

I had one, but sold it recently. It was much better then std GFF. Less gummy feeling than GFF but not the same premium plastic of Metal Build. It has a completely matte finish. Great tampo and decent articulation.

Personally if you need a 1/144 scale AILE Strike I would wait for Bandai to announce a Metal Robot Damashii AILE Strike. If MRD Strike Freedom is anything to go by it would be very impressive.

The mold of the GFFN isn't great.its a little bit bland all over and doesn't capture how awesome the original design is.

I missed the PO. This could have been my first macross toy. :(

Hope there is still some way to get this without paying double the price.

Anyone thinking of selling their PO? LMK.

There is speculation there will be a 2nd general release without the limited edition flight stand and slipcase.

  8. I really like the Trans-Am releases. To me it's similar to base Goku and SSJ Goku.

I only have the Exia TA, but want to get the MC MG 00 Raiser TA too, but just not enough money.

Funnily I didn't get Quanta. I missed the PO and my back up fell through also due to an order mix up with the supplier.

Also would love to own the TM Revolution Heine Destiny. Orange is my fave colour. :p

And still waiting for GP01 and FB upgrade to join the MB family.

  9. It's not really bare chrome coloured is it. At the paint it grey to be anime accurate :p

The white landing gear does look really nice on the Yamarcadia releases.

Bandai can release a Premium Finish version like Arcadia next time, with white landing gear. +¥10,000

"Better" is a relative thing.  For whatever reason, they seem to just be completely opposed to ever painting the gear white, on any Valkyrie of any type. <_<

If they can be removed without destroying the valk, I might pop them out and spray them myself.  They might think the chrome is nostalgic for the old 1/55 toys, but it's a glaring omission in what otherwise looks like a model aircraft replica.

    Anime accurate LOL!

    Grey landing gear. :p

  11. I feel like the more premium figures have done a good job on her face. Maybe not perfect, but at least attractive.

The one with her kneeling over the bullet had a well done face, but not a figure  suitable for my collection.

grrr, it's kinda frustrating, surely more PO's would be better, why close it so soon, don't bandai want my money! haha Guess I'll have to wait for like VF-1S DX first release, or VF-1J GBP first release ;)

We have been speculating there will be a 2nd release without the special flight stand, we just don't have any idea when.

If Bandai follow their usual release pattern for Chogokin valks there will be no bundled valks with armor. Super packs and GBP will all be Tamashii webstore exclusives.

Or even worse... Tamashii Nations Event exclusive!

  13. I wonder when the standard release will be announced.

If any Aussies are interested, I would be open to selling 2 of my special fighter stands and outer slipcases to anyone who purchases the standard release. Obviously that is long time away though. :)

Man... now the long wait until December, and then receive in January - right in time for my birthday! Wooo!

That would be a great thing to know. I've had to scour YJA, Amiami, et al. The recent SQ Sheryl is at least a pretty easy thing to get, but these Ichiban Kuji figures are usually one prize out of several in a mail-in(?) lottery campaign... or that's as far as I've been able to suss out, anyway. Maybe I'm way off base.

Ichiban Kuji is lucky draw prize in Japan. You buy a ticket, and your ticket will reward you with a prize level that you can select from the Ichiban Kuji vendor,

Example: you might get A or S ticket which will be the best prize - normally a figure. Or you might get D or E ticket which might be a range of key chains.

The fun thing is you can ask the vendor how many tickets they have left and how many good prizes are left, and if the ticket pool is small enough you could buy the remaining tickets and claim all the remaining prizes to ensure you get the prize you want. :p

My wife partook in Ichiban Kuji in Akiba while we were on holiday in Japan. She bought 1 ticket for an Aldnoah Zero draw. We got the ticket and opened it to show the vendor. He then starts to shout "BANZAI BANZAI" and we didn't know what is going on. Our friend, who was with us who we were visiting, told us we had won the S prize - so lucky! We came home with a BIG lithograph print from the show. Very cool.

The other way to get Ichiban Kuji prizes/figures is to watch reseller online stores. They are about the buy the whole prize pool and sell it off individually, and they normally sell the good prizes for a good mark up/profit.
